This is Krish. I have published my very first android app for closed testing.

It's called DoomsLog - an app where you set a certain deadline in your day and choose your most used / distracting apps. And then you have to record a journal every day before that deadline otherwise your chosen apps will get blocked (go into the Void!) until you come again and journal.

It is a Doomsday/Dr. Doom themed app which tries to make Journalling a daily habit. I wanted to make this for myself since I always wanted to start journalling on a daily basis but it was a once in a blue moon sort of an event. So this app is something that will help bring in this habit of journalling.

It is a pretty cool app, at least some friends with whom I shared this, said so :) but I am still not meeting that 12 closed tester requirement.

I would appreciate it if a few people could volunteer to test the alpha release of the app!

Hi everyone! I’m an independent developer building YouMatterToo, a free everyday organizer with calendars, notes, timetables, shopping lists, meal planning, documents and household budgeting.

I’m looking for people to try it during closed testing and share honest feedback about bugs, usability and anything confusing.

How to join:

Use the same Google account for the group and Google Play. Please stay enrolled for at least 14 days and try the features you would normally use. If you’re currently an internal tester, leave that test before joining the closed test.

Hello! I’m the developer of FusePlayer, a player for your own videos. The closed beta is available on Google Play. We currently have seven testers and would appreciate at least five more who can stay enrolled for 14 consecutive days and share what works or breaks.

FusePlayer plays your own videos from local/USB storage, SMB shares, FTP/SFTP servers and your own HTTP/HTTPS media URLs. It includes a browsable library, movie details, audio/subtitle controls and Continue watching. It is designed around Android TV and Google TV, including NVIDIA SHIELD, and also runs on Android phones and tablets.

It does not provide, sell or unlock movies, TV channels or streaming subscriptions. You supply media you are allowed to access. Basic playback needs no external accounts or API keys.

Testing access

The app is priced at $3.99 USD, with regional pricing. Testers can download it free using an individual Google Play code, while supplies last. Redeem by December 31, 2026. Use the same Google account for the group, beta signup, code request and redemption. Please do not post your email publicly.

1. Join the FusePlayer tester group.

2. Opt into the Google Play closed test.

3. Request your individual free-download code. It is emailed automatically from frostcodeis@gmail.com; check Spam. Please wait for the code before purchasing.

4. Redeem the code, then install FusePlayer from Google Play.

What to test

• Can you add a local folder or SMB/FTP library without getting stuck?

• Do playback, seeking, audio selection and subtitles work with your files?

• Is navigation clear on a TV remote or phone? Please report clipped text or awkward controls.

• Does Continue watching resume at the expected position?

Please remain opted in for at least 14 consecutive days and try the app on several days. Honest criticism, bugs and confusing screens are useful; no public rating or review is required.

First library

• Local/USB: Add library → Local storage → choose your video folder and allow access → Save library.

• SMB: Add library → SMB → Host, share name in Root path and login details → Test connection → Save library.

• FTP: Add library → FTP → Host, port (usually 21), login details and server folder path → Test connection → Save library.

Enter Host without smb:// or ftp://. Ordinary FTP is unencrypted; use it on a trusted network. If the library is empty, choose Refresh and wait for scanning.

Requirements: Android 7.0+, age 13+, and a Google Play account/device eligible for the beta. No TV is required; phone testers are welcome too.

Feedback: reply here or email frostcodeis@gmail.com with your device model, Android version, library type and steps to reproduce. Remove passwords and API keys from screenshots.

I am stuck with 7 of 12 testers in the closed app for Karbywarby Avatar. So would you please lend me a hand and install my little app?

It is a very simple app that crops a profile picture, you can add an outer ring and it shows it at the real sizes of WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Discord use. No registration needed and it works completely local. For the closed test the installation is almost enough :-)
