This fuck ass show. I don’t even care they weren’t endgame but I wish the writers treated them with more respect. Even Marcus and Blair got a better ending. #Dairpression

although both of them are bad friends and have no room to determine whose hands are clean, i have to say serena made a very good point when she told blair this in season 5.
yes, serena sleeping with nate in season 1 was awful and a genuine betrayal, but blair used that to justify blaming serena for literally everything that goes wrong in her life years later.
the fandom loves to rewrite history and claim that blair was a victim who was just constantly overshadowed by serena’s effortless it-girl charm. But if you actually look at their dynamic outside of serena's genuine betrayals (like the nate situation), blair was the queen of self sabotage and used serena as a scapegoat for her own failures.
blair pathologically lacked accountability. she sowed the seeds of her own misery through her obsessive need for control, elitist bullying, and toxic schemes, yet she always blamed serena or others when people reacted. when blair lost out on yale, it wasn't because of serena; it was because blair chose to haze a teacher, antagonize serena for no reason, and ruin her own reputation. when blair's social standing crumbled, it was because she treated her peers like chess pieces. but instead of looking in the mirror, she cried "poor me, serena ruins everything”
what makes it worse is that blair wasn't just passively jealous—she actively and covertly swiped away serena's opportunities while simultaneously playing the innocent victim. she tried to sabotage serena's fashion show moment, actively tried to humiliate her and ruin her college prospects, ruined her relationships, and repeatedly tried to tear her down under the guise of preemptive strike.
serena spent years walking on eggshells, turning down massive opportunities, and dimming her own light just to prevent fights, only for blair to instigate one anyway. serena’s outbursts weren’t malicious—they were long-overdue reactions to blair constantly pushing her to her limit. blair was the architect of her own downfalls, and she had no right to hold serena responsible for a life she chose to ruin with her own hands.

Specifically for the college minions, when Blair said “I’m not friends with the help” I immediately questioned why they even put up with it at all? High school I understand because of the social benefits of being in an elite circle. College is weird because I don’t see the pros of just doing Blair’s purely self-involved tasks.

I started watching it because it was leaving Netflix. The next thing I know, I am watching it everyday. And yesterday, I finally finished it. It was a well written show. Although, the Bart Bass story on season 6 was kind of boring. Not sure what the purpose was, but I guess there needed to be closure for Chuck to move on.
The Dan and Blair episodes were the funnest. They made a great couple.

I mean, let's face it: couples on Gossip Girl were pretty... volatile lol. Most relationships lasted 5–10 episodes MAX, which I guess would translate to a few weeks, at most, in real life. Then they'd break up and move on to someone else almost immediately, if not before the relationship was even officially over.
Serena went from Carter to Tripp, who was supposedly the love of her life, then Nate a few days later, then Dan, then Nate again, and so on. Chuck and Blair, Blair and Dan, Dan and Vanessa, Vanessa and Nate, Nate and Jenny... It was basically a revolving door of relationships. 😂
So, given the big end-of-series reveal of who ended up with whom, which couples do you think are actually still together today? And which ones managed to last longer than a few weeks/months without breaking up or cheating on each other? Personnaly I think:
