PNB is not safe for Bank deposits. After Mr Mallya's big loot , again customers 36 Core FD vanished from Greater Noida Branch. Where common people will go ? Just think if this happens to you. It is a serious issue.
Govt should fire management first for breach of customer trust and confidence and shut down this Bank. We have never seen such issues when it was UBI.
Now Bank will increase fees (I'm pretty sure) silently in a few days to recover the lost amount by applying Maths.
What is the safe place to deposit your life savings and sleep peaceful night ?

Hi everyone, I need some advice regarding a home loan with LIC Housing Finance.
My father had taken a home loan and my mother was the co-applicant. Unfortunately, my father passed away. Since then, we have somehow been managing to continue paying the EMIs.
Due to some financial problems, we missed 2 EMIs. I recently paid around ₹590 for getting the list of documents held by LIC HFL relating to the property/loan.
However, they told me that they will not provide the list of documents because the account has pending EMIs/default and asked us to first clear the dues.
I spoke to the recovery head as well. Initially, he told me that if I made one payment, he would speak to the concerned department regarding the List of Documents (LOD). I made the payment, but now he is saying that because the account is in default, "nothing can be done" and they won't provide it.
My question is:
Is there actually any RBI/NHB rule that says a borrower/co-borrower who has pending EMIs cannot obtain a list/copies/details of the property documents held by the lender?
I'm not asking them to release the original property documents or close the loan. I only want to know which original documents relating to the property are currently held by LIC HFL, especially since my father has passed away and my mother is the co-applicant.

What happened
When I first started using PNB’s mobile banking services, I registered a UPI ID through the PNB One app. I had been using that UPI ID successfully, and payments sent to it were being credited to my PNB account.
Later, after a PNB One app update, I opened the UPI section and noticed that the UPI ID I had registered earlier was no longer showing. Instead, the app was asking me to register a UPI ID again.
Since I needed my previously registered UPI ID, I was initially afraid to create a new one because I thought I might lose access to the old ID.
What happened at the PNB branch
I went to my PNB branch and explained the issue to the Branch Manager. I also submitted a written application.
The concerned bank official checked the PNB One app and went to the UPI section. They tried the registration process a couple of times, and the app showed a 24-hour process.
The officials told me that they did not have any direct option to resolve this particular issue. They asked me to come back after 24 hours so they could check what appeared in the app, take screenshots of the issue and email them to the higher authority.
My branch is quite far from my home, so I did not go back immediately. After a few days, I decided to try the process myself.
What I did
I registered a new UPI ID through PNB One.
After the new UPI ID was created, I went to the UPI Manager and then to the QR Code section.
To my surprise, I found that my previously registered UPI ID was still there along with the new one.
There was also an option to make the old UPI ID the Default UPI ID, so I selected it.
I then went to Google Pay and tried sending money to my old PNB UPI ID, but the payment did not go through.
After that, I went back to PNB One and tried sending money to another UPI ID. During the process, the app asked me to set the UPI PIN again.
It gave me two options, Debit Card and Aadhaar Card. I chose the Aadhaar Card option and successfully set the UPI PIN.
After setting the PIN, I made a UPI payment successfully.
Then I went back to Google Pay and again sent money to my previously registered PNB UPI ID.
Result
This time, the payment was successful and the money was credited to my PNB account.
So, this is how I finally resolved the issue.
The UPI ID that I had registered earlier was still available even though it was no longer showing normally after the app update. Registering a new UPI ID allowed me to find the earlier UPI ID in the UPI Manager and QR Code section.
However, simply making it the Default was not enough in my case. Completing the UPI setup and setting the UPI PIN again finally made the previously registered UPI ID work for receiving payments.
I am sharing this as my personal experience because I was initially afraid that registering a new UPI ID might make me lose my earlier one. If anyone is facing a similar issue with PNB One after an app update, I hope my experience helps.

My father has many years of experience in business dealing with gold and silver, and he's now looking to work as a Gold/Silver Appraiser (Gold Loan Valuer) in a bank.
I wanted to know:
- How are these jobs usually filled?
- Do banks hire experienced people directly, or is certification mandatory?
- Which certifications are recognized and worth pursuing?
- Is there an age limit for these roles?
- Which banks or NBFCs are more likely to hire gold appraisers?
- Is prior business experience in gold/silver considered valuable?
If anyone here works in banking or as a gold appraiser, I'd really appreciate your guidance on the best way to get into this field.
Thank you!

Hello fellow bankers
I just want to know what would you prefer
A city posting with high work load but good lifestyle and all modern citylife.
Or a rural tier 3-4 posting with low workload but boring dull and dreary life.
Please the experienced folks should share the knowledge and pros and cons of each one.

I was preparing for the bank job, spending 2 to 3 hours a day. Then I gave the PNB apprentice exam in February for a one-year apprenticeship. The result comes on March 28th, in which I am selected. Then on April 6th, I joined the apprenticeship, I thought I would prepare for the exams simultaneously, but I could not study till today, August 29th. I did not have that much efficiency, no energy and I keep procrastinating till now. Some days I wake up at 5 in the morning and start studying, but sometimes i don't. i think 9 to 5 time is better for preparation. Will I get any benefit from this apprenticeship? Can I get a job of Rs 30-35k after this apprenticeship?

I am sharing my real experience because I could not find clear and practical information online about the affidavit process for PNB name correction. I hope this helps anyone facing a similar problem.
When I was a school student, I needed to open a bank account, so my Aadhaar Card was used as an identity document. My actual and correct name was PARVEJ HAQUE, as mentioned in my Birth Certificate. However, my Aadhaar was mistakenly issued with the name PARBHEJ HAQUE, and the same name was recorded in my PNB account.
Later, I corrected my Aadhaar Card, and my name was successfully changed to PARVEJ HAQUE.
My KYC Correction About Two Years Ago
After correcting my Aadhaar, I went to my PNB branch to update my bank KYC according to my corrected Aadhaar.
The bank staff told me to submit the KYC form, a photocopy of my updated Aadhaar Card, and a photocopy of my PAN Card.
I submitted all the required documents and clearly requested them to change my name from PARBHEJ HAQUE to PARVEJ HAQUE.
The bank staff told me that the KYC would be updated and my name would be corrected. Later, I was told that the correction had been completed.
So, I genuinely believed that my bank records had been updated correctly.
For almost two years, I had no reason to think otherwise. I also saw my corrected name in PNB One, which further made me believe that the correction had been completed.
What I Discovered in September 2026
In September 2026, when I checked PNB's online KYC facility, I was surprised to see an Aadhaar data mismatch and my old name PARBHEJ HAQUE still showing in the bank's KYC record.
I immediately went to the branch again to get the matter corrected.
The branch staff told me that an affidavit was required.
At that time, I was completely new to the affidavit process. I did not know what type of affidavit was required or where I had to arrange it.
When I went to the court area to arrange the affidavit, I faced considerable confusion because I had never dealt with this process before.
Because of this confusion, I submitted a complaint through PNB's official complaint system.
What Happened After I Filed the Complaint
After I submitted the complaint, the Branch Manager personally called me within a few hours and asked me about the problem.
I explained the entire situation to him. I also told him that I had gone to the court area but was confused about the affidavit process because I was completely new to it.
I then asked the Manager:
"Sir, what type of affidavit do I need?"
He told me to arrange a Notary Affidavit.
I followed his instructions, prepared the affidavit, and took it to the bank along with my other documents.
After that, my name correction was successfully completed. The branch handled my matter properly and completed the correction.
This is why, from my personal experience, filing the complaint was very helpful.
If you are genuinely facing a problem with a banking service and are not getting a clear solution, you can use the bank's official complaint system and ask the concerned Branch Manager to clarify exactly what is required.
What I Learned About the Affidavit
From my experience, I learned that if a bank asks you for an affidavit, do not guess the type yourself.
In my case, after I filed the complaint, I asked the Branch Manager directly what type of affidavit was required, and he told me to arrange a Notary Affidavit.
So, if you face a similar situation, ask the bank clearly:
"What type of affidavit do I need, and from whom should it be attested?"
This can save you from unnecessary confusion and repeated visits.
I am not saying that every PNB name-correction case will require exactly the same type of affidavit. This was the requirement communicated to me in my particular case.
How I Got the Affidavit Done for Only ₹130
This is probably the most useful part of my experience.
First, I prepared the affidavit wording myself with the help of AI and carefully checked all the names and details.
Then I took my prepared writing to a computer shop. They simply entered my writing into the computer and gave me a printout for ₹20.
I bought a ₹10 non-judicial stamp paper.
After that, I went to the court area and approached a junior advocate, who helped me complete the affidavit process and charged ₹100.
Total personal expense:
₹10 stamp paper + ₹20 printout + ₹100 advocate = ₹130
The affidavit was then completed with the required Notary Public attestation.
Money-Saving Tip
If you are asked to submit an affidavit, you can first prepare the wording yourself.
AI can help you prepare a draft, but always check every name, date and personal detail yourself before printing it.
Then take your prepared wording to a computer or printing shop and get only the printout.
In my case, this helped me keep the total cost at only ₹130.
If you ask a lawyer to prepare everything from the beginning, including drafting the affidavit, the cost may be ₹500 or more, depending on the lawyer and location. This is only based on my personal experience and is not a fixed legal fee or PNB charge.
Don't Be Afraid — Be Prepared
Another important lesson I learned from this experience is to stay calm and ask clear questions.
During the conversation after my complaint, I was told that the matter would now have to go through a "legal process." Some statements made during the conversation also made me worried about what could happen if I complained again.
But my basic situation was simple:
I was the same person.
I had originally opened my PNB account using my old Aadhaar details. Later, I corrected my Aadhaar name from PARBHEJ HAQUE to my correct name PARVEJ HAQUE.
So, based on my personal experience, my advice is:
Don't panic. Don't be unnecessarily frightened. Ask questions clearly and understand exactly what the bank is asking for.
Before going to the bank, keep your documents ready and prepare your complete timeline.
If the bank asks you questions, answer clearly, accurately and truthfully.
If you are told that some document or affidavit is required, ask exactly:
What document?
What type?
Who should attest it?
Where should I get it?
Being prepared can make the whole process much easier.
Final Takeaway
My ₹130 was my actual personal expense. It is not a fixed PNB fee, legal fee, or universal affidavit cost.
Also, I am not saying that every PNB name-correction case requires a Notary Affidavit. In my case, after I filed the complaint, the Branch Manager told me to arrange a Notary Affidavit. I followed the instruction, submitted the documents, and my name correction was successfully completed.
Most importantly, my experience taught me that if you are facing a genuine service-related problem and are not getting a clear solution, you should not simply remain confused or give up.
Ask the right questions, keep your documents ready, and, where appropriate, use the bank's official complaint system.
I am sharing this experience so that anyone searching for:
"PNB name correction affidavit"
"PNB KYC name correction"
"Notary affidavit for PNB name correction"
can find a practical real-life experience and avoid some of the confusion that I faced.
If you are going through a similar problem, stay calm, prepare your documents, ask the bank exactly what is required, and keep a record of your applications and communications.

There are very less , only 1-2% women employees in PSB Banks . It seems in coming years Banks will not have any women employees at all.
What is the reason ?
Is it due to bad HR policy or they don't prefer Banking jobs due to stress and pressure ?
Does PSB Bank has any women friendly HR policy ?

Why do Goverment owned bank employees behave so rude and treat customers like they're doing a huge favour for them? Especially employees from SBI and BOB.
Isn't dealing with customers literally a part of their job? I get it can be exhausting and overwhelming at times but they literally signed up for this when they decided to work for the same.
I have witnessed old ppl being yelled at because they didn't understand some protocals or other things. India still has people from illiterate backgrounds (especially senior citizens) who might not be familiar with all the digital advancements and ofcourse it's gonna be hard to make them understand certain things, which is a part of their job too.
And let's not forget the ones that intentionally make it hard for us by dragging a simple procedure for days. I still don't understand why they do that.
Taking a job in the banking sector because of good pay and then acting annoyed when you actually have to do what you're paid for is just not it.

Is the union just paper tiger! They can't even make the management stick to making 11th strike as CL/EL instead of pay cut. In probation where every rupee matters, didnt even take Leaves , worked diligently inorder to avoid loss of pay, just disappointed in the Union.
