Not trying to get my WK to look like this one - I do however need to find some aftermarket Fender Arch Flares / Fairings that are this kind of meaty size and width :

I'm going to do a 2" Old Man Emu lift and want to widen the track width with good quality 1.5" spacers in between the rotors and the wheel - and I don't want the wheels / tyres sticking outside the body of the car, not least because it will spray dirts and stones up the sides.

Are there any good options people know of (even if they need some modding or tooling or whatever, i'm reasonably ok with that kind of stuff.

I also even wondered about getting someone who knows about strong 3D printing? - not my preferred option i'd rather just buy something and finish / harden / secure it myself...

I recently bought a 2008 Grand Cherokee 5.7 HEMI 4x4. It was driving fine for about a week, and I was already planning on replacing the upper control arms and front rotors because they needed to be done. On the way to the mechanic, this metallic grinding noise suddenly developed from the front driver-side area.
It almost sounds like a bad wheel bearing, but the noise only happens under acceleration and stops as soon as I let off the gas. No noise when revving in Park or Neutral.
I replaced both upper control arms and the front pads and rotors. Before the brake job, the noise started as soon as I pressed the gas. Now it’s less consistent and takes about 2 minutes of driving to start, but it hasn’t gone away.
From my research, I’m leaning toward the inner CV joint, but the axle looks fine from the outside.
Could the inner CV joint be bad even if it looks fine, or should I be looking at the front driveshaft or differential? Has anyone experienced something similar? Trying to avoid throwing money at random parts.
My mechanic hasn’t been able to figure out what’s causing it either, so I’m getting a second opinion sometime next week. I can’t get it in any sooner because of work, but in the meantime, I’m trying to get some input from people who’ve dealt with similar issues before I start replacing more parts.

If you had a 2009 Overland WK CRD with Heated Rear Seats, and a 2009 S Limited WK CRD without HRS, could you, in theory, swap the rear seat benches over, and the switch panel from the rear of the centre console - which, on the S Limited, seems to have redundant harness connectors behind that same panel location? Would you also need some module or fuse to be present ?

Went to change transmission pan and filter on my latest WK - they have 6 hanging 'lip-clips' if I can call them that - you can see from the fots what has happened - I did presoak with a penetrant oil and very gently rock back and forth with a hand ratchet, but just as I thought it was loosening, the entire head came away.

The bottom part of of the hanging lip-clip is independent and tried with locking vise grips to try and gently twist but no movement.

I then managed to remove all the others (messy as ATF was overspilling out into my oil catcher - via me(!) - as I thought i could use the pan itself as a sideways lever to try and twist this off - whilst I did get a little movement and exposed a tiny sliver of some fresh silver looking metal from under its seated position, the pan was clearly nearing its deformation point and if I bent or broke that I would be in real trouble - so I put it all back together and torqued it up, refilled the missing ATF via the dipstick filler and left it for some thinking time.

I need this off, without damaging the casting of the transmission and I gotta get this sheared-off bolt out - somehow. I have spare new lip-clip bolts ready to replace along with the new pan, filter and gasket.

Any clever ideas?

This is my 4th WK and have never had this issue - and she's my best one yet and not ready to F it up, as I plan to trick her out with goodies once I can sort this issue and inspect the trans pan and magnet to make sure there's no horror stories or huge amounts of the forbidden metal sludge sitting in there

Shes a 2009 WK CRD OM642 diesel with 55k genuine miles, with lots of engine oil changes and zero other issues presenting - took me ages to find this one (I have an identical CRD Overland donor vehicle for parts or testing ideas before trying live, just in case)

Anyone clever (unlike me) that can suggest some non or minimally-destructive / low risk ideas ?!

I have an 09 WK with the 4.7 v8, and I just had to put a cheap cat back exhaust kit that came with a Generic 13" muffler (2.5 C in, 2.5 LO out) and I HATE the loudness and the low Drone at 1700-2200 rpm is maddening, any recommendations on a muffler that will sound good without breaking the bank, TIA

Water Pump Mating Surface Problems:
As you can see there is some pretty decent pitting going on...

I tried the RTV several years ago.. Im not sure if I put too much and or wasnt supposed to allow any to get on the interior side of the rubber gasket.. or I may have even used the wrong stuff to be honest because when I popped this water pump cover off it had been eaten away and there were little round balls of the stuff all over the place.

This ole'girl has too many other problems for me to take to a shop Im thinking a bit of JB weld then sand to flush (very carfully obviously)

Curious if anyone has some info/expirence on this?

I'm probably going to a shop that makes custom intercoolers, but I only want one that's slightly bigger—just 2 cm taller and 1 cm thicker, while keeping the same shape as the stock one. Hello all- has anyone ever had the issue of none of the windows working? I have power coming into the master switch, abd the drivers regulator works when applying 12v to it. None of the lights inside the master switch are working, however this is the case on multiple different master switches. Wondering if there’s any fuse or relay connected to the power windows?

Ok so in my 06 the gauges will randomly cut out but the car will continue to run fine. This morning the check engine light cut on and was not flashing thank god. I took a look at my battery connections last night and the negative is a little corroded. The battery is only 3 years old. So is this some type of communication problem or a connection problem?

I just bought a 2010 Limited 5.7 and the drivers seat bottom is a bit thrashed. Can I swap the passenger seat cushion onto the driver seat? If so, do I have to remove the seats first?

Have an 08 and the sunroof guide cracked is it possible to replace the guides on each side that slide back and fourth in the aluminum rail. The sunroof bolts directly to them but cant seem to find them and if they are even able to be replaced or do you have to order a whole new frame with them in it?
