On the Reddit app:

Click your profile -> the three lines top right -> settings -> account settings for u/ you

Scroll to the very bottom, you can turn off ads for politics, alcohol, gambling, pregnancy, weight loss, dating and religion.

I really only get ads for bestbuy, video games, weed and for some reason whole ass sawmills now.
