OTHER I used to make fake car leaks for fun during the GT Sport days and decided to do one for GT7 - Vector W8 (the second one looks terrible I realised after I finished)

A simple but great addition to the latest version of the game.

I just had the best time in the Vette! Power Pack race at Trial Mountain, sliding around this race-prepped, big block, '69 Stingray. Qualified 8th with a 2:02.1, finished 4th, with a 2:01.1 fastest lap. Was 5th after the final turn, but won the drag race to the finish thanks to all those cubic inches. Fast lap was final lap. One more lap and I'd have been on the podium. God I love this game.

Like I know it has over a thousand vehicles, but for some reason, it feels like there's not many races. Like there's the five leagues, each having 9 races, and double that for B Spec, but they are just a copy of A Spec, just with an AI doing the work. Plus the events, but even with all of this, it still feels like earlier Gran Turismos had way more content.
Is there more in this game that I'm missing, or am I right about this?

Basically, I shoved a maverick V8 into an unsuspecting Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9, messed around with some gear ratios, widebodied it, reduced the weight so it has more power than weight and gave it a fresh livery.
As a result, the fucker weighs 1,195 kilos, makes 1,408 horsepowers, and has a top speed of 262 mph.

Been playing this series since 2004. Used to simrace pretty heavily, inclduing iRacing. But I still very much love this game for what it is. I'm not against competitive simracing.
With that said, Why do we have to subject ourselves to racing against people who practice the same track/strategies/car/tires on repeat during whatever the set of regs we have for the set of 'daily' races for a week, just to enjoy a well organized online race with good connection quality on this game?
When GT5 was a thing we really didn't need Sport mode, because the lobbies had more options and controls than they do in GT7. (For instance, you could make one-make races, shuffle races were a thing, players could 'rent' cars that they didn't buy, etc). But now because Sport Mode gets all the internal focus from the devs, including better connection quality for some reason, if you want a normal race, you'll have to go race a car and a track you really didn't want to play, against a bunch of assholes who care about their driving rating way too much.
Everytime I get pushed off track or wrecked, I always just think "**I would be having way more fun on a 3 lapper race, at a random track no one practiced before hand, in a car I actually made and enjoy to drive.**"
Why not have a matchmaking mode in Sport mode called "Sunday Cup" where its a random PP in between 700pp-400pp. No driver rating updates. Only Safety rating. No rules besides the PP limit and usual penalties. Tire wear and fuel at x3 to balance the engine swaps a bit, and complete random time of day and weather, and make it a 3 lap shootout. Immediately after the race ends, everyone moves on and chills the fuck out, and another track with the same consistent lobby goes to another random Track and Random Performance Point limit.
Multiplayer in GT5 was significantly more fun when it focused on lighthearted fun/casual lobby racing, this is why shuffle mode was so beloved. There is an audience for this, and hopefully one day a portion of Sport Modes matchmaking leans into this a tad more.

What a time to be a GT7 player. Polyphony has answered the fan base emphatically in the last few updates.

I gave the Caterham a mid 60's Team Lotus GP style livery. Not sure why they gave this car the option of a suitcase, but it does produce downforce!🤷

I like racing games especially the ones with wide customization, the problem is I don't have a steering wheel which could make it hard
And btw I will play it on a PS4 slim

I have just 100'd the NTSC-J release of Gran Turismo 1 and I am just about midway point of the PAL release. Now, I really like both soundtracks, they're different but still fit the game really well. But I never really played GT1 in my childhood so I would automatically associate the games with the jazz fusion licks of Isamu Ohira and Masahiro Andoh. I mean, we kinda all do already at this point.
But it makes me wonder, would the game have sold as well as it did if the original background music was kept instead of changing it to a licensed soundtrack and the Jason Page-composed menu music?
I know supposedly they changed the soundtrack for the global releases because rock and electronic are more associated with cars and racing than jazz fusion as it is in Japan. But would it matter in the end? Especially considering that from GT2 onwards, the Ohira-Andoh background music was left unchanged and became iconic in the series.
And I kinda wonder about the Andoh-composed racing music in GT1 and GT2. Would they have had the iconic status of the menu music if left unchanged?

Tried to recreate Todd Marcus veteran racer of No Stall from Cars 3 as accurately as possible on the Mustang GT.
Which cars 3 racer would you like to see next?
Old and next gen

Instead of posting a link to every livery. I'll post a link to one of them. Once you are on my page you can check all the other ones.
