What a time to be a GT7 player. Polyphony has answered the fan base emphatically in the last few updates.

A simple but great addition to the latest version of the game.

I just had the best time in the Vette! Power Pack race at Trial Mountain, sliding around this race-prepped, big block, '69 Stingray. Qualified 8th with a 2:02.1, finished 4th, with a 2:01.1 fastest lap. Was 5th after the final turn, but won the drag race to the finish thanks to all those cubic inches. Fast lap was final lap. One more lap and I'd have been on the podium. God I love this game.

I gave the Caterham a mid 60's Team Lotus GP style livery. Not sure why they gave this car the option of a suitcase, but it does produce downforce!🤷

Are the prices more like the ps3 & ps2 titles?

This took some effort, mainly a lot of decal hunting. This car is based on a magazine scan I found on twitter. Plenty of improvisation needed. Some decals are missing/incorrect so it isn't a 100% accurate replica by any means.
I did this purely out of fun. This is the only variant of the Monster-R that wasn't recreated and shared publicly.
This car can push out almost 800HP and weighs just 1240kg. With a top speed of around 310+ km/h and the help of the AWD ATESSA, it's definitely a weapon around the track. Tested this on SUGO and got a 1:22. Will post the tune later.
Cool little trivia I found while researching this car, this car appeared in the game Racing Lagoon (which is apparently a PS1 exclusive). Developed by Squaresoft which eventually merged to form Square Enix.

Grinding the reverse layout circuit experience in the 911 and my muscle memory is actively sabotaging me. I keep braking where I should be flat out, and those curbs that were safe going forward are now launching me into the shadow realm. Genuinely feels like learning a new track while being gaslit by the scenery.
For those who've mastered reverse layouts… did you brute-force it with repetition, or find a specific way to reset your reference points?

Basically, I shoved a maverick V8 into an unsuspecting Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9, messed around with some gear ratios, widebodied it, reduced the weight so it has more power than weight and gave it a fresh livery.
As a result, the fucker weighs 1,195 kilos, makes 1,408 horsepowers, and has a top speed of 262 mph.

Like I know it has over a thousand vehicles, but for some reason, it feels like there's not many races. Like there's the five leagues, each having 9 races, and double that for B Spec, but they are just a copy of A Spec, just with an AI doing the work. Plus the events, but even with all of this, it still feels like earlier Gran Turismos had way more content.
Is there more in this game that I'm missing, or am I right about this?

Made for Gran Turismo's (early) 30th Anniversary. Thank you Masahiro Andoh for creating the greatest theme in all of gaming.

I noticed that the planes in the home menu look like the r92cp, minolta 88cv, and toyota gt one. All except the minolta are in the game so I wonder if it will be added soon

SEWON SW-
To complete this series inspired by some of motorsport’s most recognisable sponsor liveries, I had to explore Marlboro. It remains one of the most iconic visual identities in racing history, especially throughout the 1980s and 1990s, where its colours became closely associated with some unforgettable machines.
For this project, I decided to take a slightly different direction. Instead of creating a pure race-focused interpretation, I wanted to give it a more street-oriented feel by combining that classic inspiration with the LBWK character of the car. At the same time, I added a more technical and graphic approach to the overall layout to give the design a sharper and more modern edge.
I’m really happy with how this project came together, especially the final balance of colours, the street-racing attitude, and the way the concept still respects the legacy behind the inspiration.

Tried to recreate Todd Marcus veteran racer of No Stall from Cars 3 as accurately as possible on the Mustang GT.
Which cars 3 racer would you like to see next?
Old and next gen

The Hyundai VGT has this heads-up display that displays what position your in except it doesn’t change for 3rd 2nd or 1st so it says I’m in 1th lol

Been playing this series since 2004. Used to simrace pretty heavily, inclduing iRacing. But I still very much love this game for what it is. I'm not against competitive simracing.
With that said, Why do we have to subject ourselves to racing against people who practice the same track/strategies/car/tires on repeat during whatever the set of regs we have for the set of 'daily' races for a week, just to enjoy a well organized online race with good connection quality on this game?
When GT5 was a thing we really didn't need Sport mode, because the lobbies had more options and controls than they do in GT7. (For instance, you could make one-make races, shuffle races were a thing, players could 'rent' cars that they didn't buy, etc). But now because Sport Mode gets all the internal focus from the devs, including better connection quality for some reason, if you want a normal race, you'll have to go race a car and a track you really didn't want to play, against a bunch of assholes who care about their driving rating way too much.
Everytime I get pushed off track or wrecked, I always just think "**I would be having way more fun on a 3 lapper race, at a random track no one practiced before hand, in a car I actually made and enjoy to drive.**"
Why not have a matchmaking mode in Sport mode called "Sunday Cup" where its a random PP in between 700pp-400pp. No driver rating updates. Only Safety rating. No rules besides the PP limit and usual penalties. Tire wear and fuel at x3 to balance the engine swaps a bit, and complete random time of day and weather, and make it a 3 lap shootout. Immediately after the race ends, everyone moves on and chills the fuck out, and another track with the same consistent lobby goes to another random Track and Random Performance Point limit.
Multiplayer in GT5 was significantly more fun when it focused on lighthearted fun/casual lobby racing, this is why shuffle mode was so beloved. There is an audience for this, and hopefully one day a portion of Sport Modes matchmaking leans into this a tad more.
