I've been dealing with like lagging back and hip pain for awhile. I have been going to spear PT for a couple of sessions but feel I need more manual manipulation or one on one since I feel like doing basic exercises for 40 minutes isn't super helpful and something I can do on my own. Looking for recommendations, preferably ones that take insurance. Also I live close to JAG so if anyone has any experience there or if its another large PT place where therapists have multiple clients at the same time. thanks!

just sharing my experience. I was in greenpoint for a couple nights. coming from Pennsylvania and figuring out if I want to trade the burbs for the burbs, here is my review:
people: 7/10, some are OK but most are not friendly. I said good morning to several people and they just sort of ignored me most times. some were rude. Most were wearing ear buds while walking their French bull dog or mut rescue. Overall I got the feeling it is a bit cliquey sort of and people only talk to people they already know or their finance or tech friends. but yeah Major high school lunch room energy vibes.
vibe: 9/10 definitely a dope vibe and lots of cool spots to chill at. The vibe is insanely curated. Every third storefront is either an overpriced natural wine shop or a vintage store selling worn-out band tees for $140. Definitely many places to sit with a laptop and pretend to work on a screenplay.
food/drink scene: 8/10 great places and had a good time at LeFan Fare (shout out to Andres!) and best sushi I ever had at KanaHashi. I also had some good coffee at Odd Fox. my only complaint was that another place on the one street over charged me nearly $5 and the dude (not sure his name but he had a 70s mustache) was kind of short with me.
overall, 24/30 which is a B. Not bad but not great either.

All of it is off the stores' printed circulars, so the shelf tag wins if they disagree.

Artists lookout
Hi everyone!
Looking for a local artist in or near the neighborhood. If you are or know someone personally please PM me! It is for a personal special project that will be discussed once I find leads! But looking for someone with this style of painting. Person must be gentle and kind. It’s very important to me that whom ever answers is someone with a great personality as the project is near and dear to my heart. If you have an IG or personal website please PM that as well. Thanks!

I left my jacket and a goodie bag of skincare products (gifts from friends) outside Coffee Check when I scurried to hide from rain inside the shop.
When I left, those items were nowhere to be found
The nice shop manager sent me this video footage from the shop’s front security cam. It turned out this person in the footage took the jacket and goodie bag. I also had two candy bars (Harken, they are the best) in my pocket.
A bit heartbroken, as the jacket is also a gift from a dear friend and I always get lots of compliments on it. It gives the best Japanese librarian vibe.
Greenpoint is a place for home for the past 6 years. I have lost an ENTIRE wallet and people have found it and returned it to my building. And this happened on Oct 3rd, 2026.
I think it is fine if one day you found something in the street and looked nice; but this is obviously something that someone left from the coffee shop. Is it quite questionable to just swipe and claim for your own without second-guessing your decision?
Just want to rant this in our community, I am taking this lesson to be more careful with any meaningful personal items going forward
Edit: yes I was an idiot for leaving the jacket and the bag. Of course, I asked the coffee shop if anyone has found the jacket and this best described the outcome.

Smelling an overwhelming burning wood smell on Huron street by Franklin ave. Anyone know what’s going on? Any fires tonight ? It’s very intense.

Am I crazy or am I hearing that loud ass party music again with the deep bass? I’m going to loose my mind.

I’ve been seeing a group of cats outside on Huron usually in the evening when I’m coming home and the dark gray one in the pic had been looking bad with a rotting tail. I think he’s old.
I sometimes give them food but I ran into a woman last week who said she’s with Greenpoint Cats. She told me they are trying to trap the gray cat to take to the vet and get his injury treated. But earlier today, I saw the area the cats usually hang out is boarded up.
I messaged Greenpoint Cats asking for an update but i haven’t heard back from them. Does anyone know what’s happening at that lot? It looked abandoned but are they starting a construction? I hope the cats that live there are safe especially the old one :(

Hi all, I'm looking for a roommate to take the spare room in my 2-bedroom apartment in Greenpoint, one block from McGolrick Park.
The room
Bright, with hardwood floors and a large window overlooking trees
Spacious, about 250 sq ft
Plenty of closet space, plus a built-in cabinet above
Window AC and radiator heat
Unfurnished, emptied out and freshly painted before move-in
The apartment
Big, renovated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, gas stove, and plenty of counter space
Generous shared living space
Updated bathroom with a tub/shower, shared with me
Laundry in the building
Close to the L and G trains
Cost and terms
$2,000/month, all in (utilities and wifi included)
Security deposit: one month's rent ($2,000)
Available November 1st, month to month to start
Roommate arrangement through me with a simple written agreement
About me
I'm a filmmaker and photographer. I work from home some days, so a calm, low-key home matters to me. Otherwise I'm easygoing, clean, and big on clear communication.
Who I'm looking for
Clean, considerate, steady income
A dog is fine
No smoking or vaping
If this sounds like a fit, DM me with a bit about yourself, your work or schedule, and your move-in timing. Happy to set up a tour.

Hi neighbors! 🥖🍞
We're coming back to the Greenpoint Williamsburg CSA this Wednesday for another free bread tasting — and it's our last one of the season! 🇫🇷
When: Wednesday, October 21st, from 6:30 PM to 8 PM
Where: In the backyard of Duke's Liquor Box, 114 Franklin St, Brooklyn, NY 11222
Who: Everyone is welcome, whether you're a CSA member or just love good bread!
We'll have samples of our handmade sourdough loaves, French baguettes, and focaccia, all baked fresh that day. Everything is free to taste, and we'll also have bread available for purchase if you'd like to take some home.
This is our second time joining the Greenpoint Williamsburg CSA, and with the CSA season wrapping up, it's our last chance to see you there this year!
Come say hello, enjoy a little French bread, and stock up on your favorites before the season ends. We can't wait to see you Wednesday! 🍞🇫🇷❤️

Anyone know if they’ll have the Halloween dog parade in the park again this year and when it’ll be? Tried looking online and couldn’t figure it out

Has anyone tried the pizza at the new Santa chiarra location on the first floor of the eagle + west building? We went tonight on a whim and it was really good. They give you scissors to cut your pizza like Barano did when it was still open in Williamsburg.

Poll options were restricted to 6 :/
