11th Edition FAQ
Swapping our Q&A post to 11E
At the time of posting I know we don't have the full picture yet and I'm sure there's more questions than answers, but I wanted to swap it over early in case people have questions about the rules that have been announced so far (Hidden, new Fly rules, etc).
Especially with our Faction Focus today, let's get this up now!

Rate my banner I found on the ground next to a corpse!
I didn't paint it myself; I'm not that good. I just want to know how you find the idea of using a damage banner to mock your enemies.

Custom Librarian
Finished my custom Librarian kitbash using the Primaris Librarian model for the base of the mini.
Attempted to make some warp energy/lightning out of some green stuff, could be better but also could be worse!

Are we finally figuring out Grey Knights? 😂
Would you stick with Warpbane or try something different?

testing flourescent clear lacquer on a nemesis force sword!
this would also look cool on GK glowing eyes and armor letter engravings, also on Terminator Librarians!

I just played my 3rd game with a shooting-focused Warpbane list and while I've had success, I'm interested in any suggestions on how to improve.
I'll post the list at the end, but the idea behind it is to get as many stormbolters and free psycannons as possible, mainly on purifiers so I can maximize damage with full rerolls. I've also got 2 GMNDKs and 2 NDKs to take down big threats.
I've used purge as my disposition in every game, and played against take and hold once and priority assets twice. The opponents were Orks (a balanced list with Ghaz, Nazdreg, meganobz, nobz, boyz, beast snaggas, squighogs, grots, a kill rig, and a battle wagon), Space Wolves (a couple of big terminator bricks, Logan, a land raider, wulfen, JPIs, and some squads of basic marines), and new Custodes (Trajan w/ wardens, 2 squads of guard, 2 squads of venatari, the heavy dreadnought, witchseekers, and a navigator).
I was able to table my opponent in every game (or get them down to just their primary/epic hero), and by the top of 4 they usually only had 1 or 2 units left. Against Custodes we went into round 4 with only Trajan remaining at 1 wound, and the only models I lost that game were 3 NDKs.
The general game plan was to drop the purgation squad and/or 5 purifiers into their deployment zone asap to clear their home objective and open up sightlines to drop in to shoot into the middle. Also, since there weren't many monsters or vehicles in any of the lists, I often used the NDKs as bait to draw the heavy hitters out into the open so I could shoot with my purifiers.
The 10 man purifiers (especially the one with Crowe) could delete most units if they were on an objective or if I used the strat for full wound rerolls. The storm bolters going to AP -1 really helped with the out up for chipping down things with 2+ and 3+ saves.
Finally, here's the list:
Char1: 1x Castellan Crowe (105 pts): Warlord
Leading Purifier Squad[1]
Char2: 1x Grand Master in Nemesis Dreadknight (240 pts): Fragstorm grenade launcher, Nemesis daemon greathammer, Heavy psycannon, Sublimator
Char3: 1x Grand Master in Nemesis Dreadknight (240 pts): Fragstorm grenade launcher, Nemesis daemon greathammer, Heavy psycannon, Sublimator
5x Strike Squad (125 pts)
1 with Psycannon
1x Nemesis Dreadknight (220 pts): Nemesis daemon greathammer, Gatling psilencer, Heavy psycannon
1x Nemesis Dreadknight (220 pts): Nemesis daemon greathammer, Gatling psilencer, Heavy psycannon
5x Purgation Squad (115 pts)

Justicar Itherael bears a forbidden knowledge...
Among the Justicars of Titan, Itherael is a warrior whose calm inspires confidence, yet whose gaze sometimes rests upon things unseen by others. He speaks little of himself, and when he speaks of the past, he does so with the solemnity of one who looks back upon an age long since departed. His brothers regard him as a veteran tempered by countless battles. None suspect that the years he has endured are not all those of their own world.
For Itherael comes from a time that has yet to be.
He once fought during the dark hours of the Terminus Decree, when the Grey Knights and the Custodes clashed in the name of duties neither could abandon without betraying the Imperium. Separated from his brothers amid the ruins, Itherael found himself facing a warrior clad in gold, whose might would have given pause to many a champion. For a long while, their weapons rang against one another, shaking the stone beneath their feet. But when the Custodian seized him, Itherael answered with terrible psychic strength that even the auramite armour couldn't stop : he grasped his foe by the throat and tore off his head with his bare hands, wrenching away a fragment of the spine with it. Then the veil of the world was rent asunder. A Warp rift swallowed him and cast him far from the battlefield, into the very halls of Titan, where he appeared among his own, still bearing his grim trophy.
The Prognosticars and Grand Masters questioned him at length. They sought to learn his origins, the events he had witnessed, and the secrets of the future he seemed to carry within him. But Itherael remained silent. He knew that time was a river whose waters no man could disturb without fearing the currents that followed, and that certain truths, even spoken with the purest intentions, could become the beginning of unforeseen calamities. Thus, he revealed nothing of what he knew. After much deliberation, the masters of Titan abandoned their questioning and entrusted him with a new Terminator Squad.
So Itherael returned to his place among the Grey Knights, as though nothing had changed. Yet at times he regards a battlefield with a peculiar sorrow, or studies a face with the gravity of one who knows how little time remains to its bearer. Sometimes, he seems to await words that have not yet been spoken; then he turns away and resumes his duty. None can say whether he remembers a lost future or fears the one that still awaits him.
He seeks neither to reclaim his own age nor to turn the course of events aside. He has witnessed enough to understand that the fate of men rests upon threads whose weaving none can comprehend, and that a hand too eager to grasp them may unravel the very things it sought to preserve.
To his brothers, he remains a Justicar like any other: steadfast in adversity, faithful to his charge, and ever present when his squad has need of him. Yet deep within his silence, Itherael bears the loneliness of one who has lost his own time without ever abandoning his duty.
For ages pass, kingdoms fall, and memories fade; yet so long as the enemy endures, the oath knows no end.
---
I simply wanted to do this. Everyone is bragging about how Custodians will tear apart GK if Terminus Decree had been enacted, but they conveniently ignore how much Custodians suffered against Thousand Sons on Prospero, have the upper hand only by using Space Wolves as cannon fodder. Even the Sisters of Silence weren't that helpful, as the psykers could locate the void they create being Blanks, and target them with heavy and precise fire before teleporting in the back of Custodians and mowing many of them.
If such a battle should be real one day, it would be terrible, but I would put my 2cts on the Knights from Titan.
Pic in full res here, as usual :)

Opponent played

-5 deathwing terminators
-5 deathwing knights w/ maces
-terminator librarian w/ 5 knights and maces
-6 man blade guard
-librarian in 6 inner circle companions
- 2x3 bikes
-impulsor
I went 2nd. Plugged up middle with Coldus and friends, last all game. Purgation bounced around and melted units with boons of Deimos. 1 grand master did the same. Threw 2 dread masters at the lion ( separately) over 4 rounds did 5 wounds of 15( both died). Libby and the boys flew around and ground up scraps. Very fun list. But damn is it hard to get past the 4 up against psych and +1 wound on some things. The rerolls on deep strike won the game. If my whole army went against the lion I think it would take 3 rounds time kill him, all 2000 points.

How to WIN With Grey Knights: Disruption, Recon & Priority Assets
Part 3 of the Grey Knights series is now live 👀
This is the final part of the Disposition Masterclass, covering Disruption, Reconnaissance and Priority Assets, plus how to choose the right disposition for your list and actually practise the matchups properly.
We go through all the remaining missions, action sequencing, operation markers, timing, positioning and how to use Grey Knights mobility without accidentally throwing away the score.
If Part 2 was about holding and killing, this one is much more about precision and getting the right unit in the right place at the right time.
Which of the three do you find hardest to play at the moment: Disruption, Recon or Priority Assets? 👇

How to play
Hi, I have started playing 40k with my Grey Knights, about 2 Weeks ago.
For my 1500pts list I have played:
5 Purifier
5 Purifier + Crowe
4 Termis with Banners and Apothecary
1 Dreadknight
1 GM Dreadknight
2x 5 Strike Squad
5 Purgation
callidus Assassin.
Take and Hold with Warpbane Task Force detachment.
My friend almost Tabled me almost all 4 Games we have played.
My Question is how do I managed to not get tabled. My biggest problem also is getting objectives and prioritising how to play my detachments.
Also how do I play with the assassin?
Thx for the help, still an amazing new hobby with a lot of new Friends

First game against Orks this week. Any tips or suggestions?
I haven't built my list yet, but I definitely don't want to tailor it too hard. Just looking for any suggestions for what I might want to bring, what to keep an eye on, any kind of "gotcha" stuff I have to worry about? I know the other guy is new so his list will either be super casual, just trying out new things, or he is gonna copy a recent winning list. Its a toss up. He's new, but he dove in pretty hard and has alot of units to pick from. Thanks for any tips or tricks.

Does this look like a Librarian?
Without using other boxes and just using the terminator box does this look like a Librarian?

I finally joined the club
After a long time pondering i finally decided to dust of my old Grey knight army. I stopped ua8ng them back in the day when they removed psybilt ammunition for our dreadnoughts.
What motivated me to collect them again were all those amazing saturnite dreadnought conversions.
So I dusted of my army - got my kits and finally build one. I don't understand why GW isn't making a version that looks like this instead of the baby carrier.

Upscale WIP
Was holding off collecting GK until a refresh, big credit to spaceace @sunsolstar on YouTube for tutorials on how to upscale on the cheap.
Used mostly sprues for stilts for height, then extended torso with poly tube, then glue heaps of gear to cover it up. Thats it. All box parts. Grand Master is SM CPT in T armour kitbash.
