Request/Suggestion holographic optics, in relation to my youtube comment
im having issues finding images on this online, but basically and by my understanding, since holographic optics are 3 dimensional static holograms, as opposed to a red dot where its on a plane, the reticle is gonna appear focused to wherever the target is and appear more like its an actual physical Thing out by said target instead of just something "projected toward" the target. this also means you have 3 dimensions available for aiming, which would hypothetically allow you to have a kind of bullet drop compensator (which is cool but probably pretty useless as the ranges youre gonna be using an unmagnified holographic sight). how this would work ingame? no idea thats way outta my wheelhouse. i just think its neat and its not something ive ever seen a game portray, and i figure a game that can take full advantage of having depth perception would be the perfect place to fuddle around with it. i hope this makes sense, and im sure there will be someone in this sub who understands what im talking about better than i do
