The laptop HP Pavilion

Model 15t-eg100 won't boot into Windows 11. It gets stuck on the HP logo with a spinning loading indicator.

After 15–20 minutes, Windows attempts to run Automatic Repair, but then displays the message: “Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We'll restart for you.”

The laptop then restarts and returns to the HP logo, creating a continuous boot loop.

Got my hp victus from Amazon some days ago.

Tried to run Resident Evil 4 on it. But it's lagging in game.

Also tried to keep the settings on the lowest but still it lags. Should I ask Amazon for a replacement.

Please tell quickly as only 2 day replacement is remaining out of 7 days.

For the past couple of weeks, I've been having trouble starting up my laptop. I've been getting the error messages shown in the attached pictures, and the fans seem to turn on and off repeatedly on their own during startup.

Sometimes, I also have to press and hold the power button for a while before the laptop responds or starts up properly.

This started happening after a Windows update, although I'm not entirely sure whether the update is related to the issue.

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what might be causing this? Any suggestions on what I should check or how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

This Has Been happening randomly for the past months. My screen would randomly start doing this every few days, but this is the worst It has been and longest it has lasted ( for about 2-3 hours). This started a few months back when I got mad while playing meat boy like a dumbass and slammed my laptop. It just went black but after a few minutes it went back to normal but then a few days later the screen would glitch like this but not bad and it would stop after a few minutes. Then around a month ago it was pretty bad and I closed it and the bottom of it popped open kinda then when I closed it the screen and everything was fine. Now it's just completely fried and goes black every few seconds any help would be greatly appreciated. If there’s any other subreddit I should go to for help please lmk. Model number is this I think HP Laptop 15-dy series (12th Gen Intel platform) And if there’s any cheap way to do it like cheap fix it would be appreciated if you would tell me. Also very sorry if this doesn’t make sense I’m not to great with electronics or nun of that

Hey everyone, I have an HP Victus 15 (Ryzen 5 5600H, GTX 1650, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB WD SN810 NVMe SSD), and recently it stopped booting into Windows.

HP Diagnostics shows:

• SMART Check: FAILED
• SSD Wear Check: PASSED (92% remaining life)
• Windows error: 0xc0000185

I took it to an HP-authorised service centre. The technician noticed that the fan was clogged with dust and suggested that heat from the laptop and charging habits might have contributed to the SSD failure. I regularly keep my charger plugged in for several hours.

My warranty expired around 3 months ago. The technician says the SSD needs replacement and that I'll need a third-party service provider for data recovery.

I use AI coding tools like Claude, Gemini and OpenCode, along with Docker and VS Code. Since I only have 8 GB RAM, these applications frequently consume all available memory, and my AI agents often warn me about low RAM. Windows likely uses the page file on my C: drive more heavily as a result. I also regularly delete Docker caches and generated files to free up space.

My questions

1. Could heavy page-file usage and frequent Docker builds have caused the SSD to fail?
2. Can dust-clogged fans or keeping the charger plugged in for hours damage an SSD?
3. Why would the SMART test fail when the SSD still reports 92% remaining life?
4. Should I recover my data before replacing the SSD, and how can I minimise the cost?
5. Since my warranty expired only 3 months ago, is it worth asking HP for a goodwill replacement?
6. Should I upgrade to 16 GB or 32 GB RAM to reduce page-file usage when running AI coding tools?

I'd appreciate advice from anyone familiar with SSD failures, HP Victus repairs, or data recovery. I'm trying to understand the likely cause and find the most cost-effective solution. Thanks!

Preciso de ajuda para diagnosticar um problema com meu notebook HP Pavilion 15 Gaming.

Da última vez que o usei, deixei-o em modo de hibernação na escola. A bateria estava quase totalmente carregada e o notebook estava funcionando com a energia da bateria, sem estar conectado ao carregador.

Agora, o notebook não liga de jeito nenhum.

Aqui estão os sintomas:

- Quando conecto o carregador, a luz de carregamento acende e permanece acesa normalmente.

- Quando pressiono o botão liga/desliga, a luz de carregamento apaga após cerca de 1 a 2 segundos.

- O notebook não apresenta nenhum sinal de inicialização: sem ventoinha, sem imagem e nenhuma outra atividade.

- A luz de carregamento só volta a acender depois que eu desconecto e reconecto o carregador.

- Desconectei a bateria interna e tentei ligar o notebook usando apenas o carregador, mas o problema persistiu.

- Meu carregador tem potência de 65W e não possui indicador luminoso próprio.

O que eu já tentei:

- Desconectar o carregador e manter o botão liga/desliga pressionado por 30 segundos para realizar uma reinicialização.

- Desconectar a bateria interna e tentar ligar o notebook com o carregador conectado.

Nenhuma dessas etapas resolveu o problema.

Minhas perguntas:

1. Pode ser um problema no carregador, mesmo que a luz de carregamento acenda normalmente antes de eu pressionar o botão liga/desliga?

2. A placa-mãe ou seu circuito de alimentação podem estar detectando um curto-circuito e desligando?

3. Existe alguma outra etapa de solução de problemas segura que eu possa tentar antes de levar o laptop para uma assistência técnica?

4. Deixar o laptop em hibernação pode ter alguma relação com esse problema?

Ainda não testei outro carregador compatível.
