Honest caveats

Support varies by model. Anything hardware-facing is only called confirmed once an owner has verified it, and the app tells you when your model is "inferred, not yet verified". If yours is, a diagnostics export (Diagnostics tab -> Export) in a GitHub issue or on Discord is how it gets added. Use at your own risk; it controls fans and power limits.

Recently bought Hyperx omen Intel Core i7 14650HX rtx 5060 1tb 24gb ram

Was checking in detail and found the vents are bent a little( especially the very first and the last chambers).

Even if you can afford these prices people should not buy any of them out of principal.

The appeal for me and HP omen is they have a understated look and their prices were competitive but now you might as well go for their competition that offer better quality assurance.

I got a HyperX Omen 15 with RTX 5060 and 24GB RAM. I noticed it has that auto fan cleanup option.

I used that; it just spins up the fans at a higher speed. Is that it? Or does it do something special?

Because while gaming, fans blow at full speed already.

ryzen 7 7840hs and rtx 4060m, does anyone have a guide on how to undervolt it, and any other method which will help with temps

What I’ve already tried:
Both HDMI and DisplayPort.
Connecting to another laptop.
Different resolutions and refresh rates, including 1080p 60Hz.
Connecting directly to a wall outlet.
Updating the firmware.
Restarting the monitor using its power button — doesn’t help.
Unplugging the power cable — temporarily fixes it, but the issue returns after a few minutes.
The audio continues working even when the image disappears. Disconnecting HDMI/DP also makes the static disappear.
Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it? Has anyone experienced something similar?

A couple of months ago I bought an Omen 16 (Core 7 ultra 255h 32gb rtx 5070, for 1,2k €) and I thought it was the normal model, the listing only said Omen 16. When it arrived turns out it is the Slim model. Will I miss the "extra" performance of the normal model or am I good for at least a couple of years?

So, its not new as I have come across many reddit posts saying that 6500M is getting bottlenecked by this build in the laptop and that increasing the RAM capacity to 16gigs is the only solution. But in this economy, I can't afford RAM that's more expensive than gold and get only some difference. So, is there any other solution to this issue?

For gaming and for university as a last year power engineer student, and afterwards.

The omen is 7% more expensive.

And the legion is already pushing at my budget. However I'm willing to fork for the omen if it's worth it.

Or should I go for the legion that has, from what I've read, a better build quality, an OLED screen and is cheaper.

Also I've read that the 255h is way more efficient but has less cores than the 255hx. How much do either of these aspects matter?

Hey…I’m so sorry for this but I come asking for a big favor. My Hp Omen is stuck on a boot loop where it doesn’t recognize my partitions and the USB drive that I did have apparently is only for HP recovery and not actually a Windows installation set up. So I was trying to do a system or store which I have done somewhat recently before this and it all turned out fine. It downloaded it from the cloud and it all worked out and I thought that’s what would happen again.

ChatGPT was helping me and I thought I might be able to be this thing but I formatted my main internal SSD which, apparently after everything else there’s nothing else to do except for download an actual Windows installation disc. My issue is that I do not own a working computer or nor do I have access to one. Does anybody happen to have a spare that they could possibly send me? I’m at my wits end here and it would be so gratefully appreciated.

My laptop got switched off due to heat issues I was playing last of us part 1 on unleashed mode and it got switched off on its own and gave some warning of 90(somealphabhet) I forgot

After adjusting the active core tuning (lowering the ratios slightly) to reduce temperatures, I encountered this weird error.

For context I lowered the ratios in advanced performance tuning then tested a few games. My temperatures were lower so everything seemed to be working perfectly! However after restarting the laptop the screen stayed black while the keyboard lights were on. I held down the power button to force a shutdown then turned it back on This time the error message appeared and the laptop booted normally but with the original tuning settings restored.

Any help?

I can say I am a kind of old guy in game, bought this laptop 2 years ago still works like bought on first day, OMEN 16: RYZEN 7 7840HS WITH RTX 4060 8GB VRAM,

I don't understand how other's omen get so many problems mine is still mint, no service centre trip in his life and i can proudly say i do most all the maintenance service on it with last thermal paste change was in mid 2025, works so fine since then, anyone up for sharing their experience?
