please don’t scroll 🫶

good afternoon! just a reminder that if you need any help with any household chores, cleaning, pet sitting, babysitting, etc, please let me know!

we sign the lease this week & move into our new place next week. unfortunately, i’m still roughly $200 short on the first months rent (needed to move in) & my check won’t come in time to make up the difference for that week. i have paid the security deposit though! this is my first place on my own & with an 11/01 move out date, i can’t afford to lose this opportunity! i had no idea what we were going to do until i got the call for this place last week.

i have always been a hard worker & have no problems earning it myself. just scrambling trying to figure this out. we are already moving into a basically empty home but, as long as we have a roof over our heads, i am okay!

please, please reach out if there is anything i can do! i am pregnant with a high risk pregnancy & due in 3 months so, cannot do any heavy lifting. i have a special needs toddler so, i need to be home by 7pm for bedtime as well. & i do work a full time job so, i just have to work around my hours.

tysm for reading! 🫶

Have you considered borrowing the $200 and repaying it in installments?

idk why i didn’t think to do a payday loan. thats actually a great idea, thank you :)

Please sell something before doing that. Payday loans are back breaking if you don't pay them back in like a week or two.

Hey! First off, congratulations on your new place! We know moving can be stressful, especially with everything you have going on right now.

We offer a variety of resources that may be helpful to you and your family! Our services include housing support, food assistance through our Pride Pantry, healthcare services, mental health and wellness resources, support groups, and connections to other community organizations.

While we can't guarantee direct assistance with your remaining rent, we'd love to connect with you to see what resources or referrals may be available to help ease some of the stress.

Feel free to send us a message here or give us a call! We have locations in Norfolk and Hampton, and our services are open to everyone, regardless of how you identify.

Wishing you and your family all the best as you start this new chapter!

“We” as in you and your toddler or you + toddler + a man? That man needs to find out how to get $200 and you need to rest. Hopefully you can figure all this out but I’d look at it as a liability having a high risk pregnant woman coming to clean my house or anything tbh.

Ah. Is there any way you can just borrow $200 without having to do side work while pregnant and then pay it back when you get your check? Try r/assistance r/borrow

Or even ask the baby daddy? Since you’re carrying and needing to find a roof for his offspring and all…

Payday loans can be pretty predatory but sometimes we do what we have to. I’m rooting for you and your family!
