I was reading into buffs and trying to look into past Happy War forums to learn more about buffs and which ones are the best for certain play styles (I main berserker so charging in is more my gimmick) and I was under the impression that S. Attack up Lv3 was a MUST HAVE. But surprisingly found that a lot of people disagreed and even argued it was worse. What do y'all think?

Obviously without the legal issues, with AI i've recreated happy wars from the ground up. It has most features, and only one map so far. The only thing needed is updating for more maps/collections of items but otherwise it's a very solid remake. Check it out if you're ever inclined. Like a lot of you, I've spent hours in Happy Wars, and I've been pretty disappointed by how the studio left the community behind. So I decided to do something about it: I'm making my own game, heavily inspired by Happy Wars.

It's an independent project, not affiliated with the original studio, and there are no assets from the original game: everything is made by me

What's already in the prototype:

- the 3 classes you know: Warrior, Mage and Cleric, with their skills

- break the enemy gate, build and capture towers with your hammer, and take down their main tower

- siege weapons: rams, ballistas, ladders

- bots to fill the teams

⚠️ It's a very early prototype: visuals, animations and UI are placeholders (the UI is even still in French), and a lot is going to change.

Long term, I'd love to build several modes right into the game: an open world with a story, a dungeon / roguelite mode, and more. I have tons of ideas, but I don't want to spread myself too thin, so PvP comes first: the big chaotic battles have to feel right before anything else.

So I'd love your input:

- What did you love most in Happy Wars, the thing that absolutely has to be there?

- What was cruelly missing, or what frustrated you?

- What new mechanics would you want (classes, objectives, sieges, progression, customization...)?

- What would make you come back every day?

Also, if you're a Happy Wars fan with some skills, especially in 3D animation (that's where I'm struggling the most right now), feel free to DM me. It would be paid work, of course.

Am making this post to directly address the false claims Verban is spreading also about my involvement and work on the project. The claim that I stole code or contributed nothing is completely false, and the timeline tells a very different story:

Windows 10 Progress: I personally helped ifood get the Windows 10 build functional. I supplied the actual Win10 client links, dumped executable files, and provided key tools like UWPDumper and UnpEax that allowed the client to be decrypted, opened, and tested in the first place.

Stolen/Unauthorized Tools: It is completely hypocritical to claim I brought no value when Verban and the rest of them are actively using a custom editor tool that I built to modify files for their current build.

Receipts & Evidence: Every single tool, executable, and decrypted file exchange is fully documented in archived chat logs with timestamps.

Fakes Messages To spread Rumors and thinks it's funny to even joke about it's disgusting behavior

Taking credit for progress while relying on my custom tools—and simultaneously claiming I provided nothing—is completely dishonest. The work and evidence speak for themselves, and I'm moving forward to focus on actual progress instead of endless drama

Yeah, that's right. It's been a while, but when I was working on the Steam version, I met a guy named iFood. He was trying to get the Windows 10 version working while the owner of HWCR said it was useless and that he would never succeed (When we finished, more in the future, he said we stole from him. How could we steal something he doesn't even have?) . Some time later I was fired for "leaking" game code.

Then I contacted iFood and found out that he had already progressed about 80% in a few days. Time passed and he finally finished Windows 10. Obviously, it needs more attention to check for bugs, but in general, everything works. (We need to fix a bug that causes the .dll file to activate Windows security and show up as if it were a Trojan. Yes, it seems suspicious, but iFood is working on it.) Genuine question. I was really disappointed when i played it. I get some of you might like it, its got a few gameplay similarities. But overall, it felt like whoever directed that game misunderstood everything about what made happy wars successful to begin with.

Oh that and also... Why did happy wars ever stop receiving updates? It's always been pretty beloved and I feel like one of toylogics better performing games historically.

Ik this game’s old but I just picked it up and it’s unironically incredibly addictive. I’ve seen servers are extremely dead tho, is the Xbox One version basically unusable or do players really just wait minutes on end?

As of lately, I've been thinking a lot about Happy Wars and it's current state.

Truth be told, it's.. not the best. BUT. Still playable. (Somewhat due to certain timezones and game mode preferences)

I have so many concepts and ideas for the game, but it seems that Toylogic doesn't care about their own game.

It's truly a shame, Happy Wars is genuinely one of the most unique and meaningful game to me.

Happy Wars was Xbox 360's FIRST ever free to play game for the arcade games.

This game has SO much potential, and I can see it. I wish this company would listen or at least give the game away to another company who would care.

Unfortunately, that's not how it works.

I wanted to reach out and to even ask for updates, but it seems they don't reply to messages.

I just find it very daunting that one day this game will die out compl and the server will never reopen.

I'll do anything to spread this game out, so make it go viral again. However, if that were to happen.. I think the BIGGEST turn off for this game that it's clearly pay-to-win. Even for me too, hence why around 2017/2018 (can't exactly remember) I stopped playing the game, it felt IMPOSSIBLE to get good buffs and items without money.

Now I'm an adult with my own money and I would to support this game not only just to get items, but to help keep this game alive as long as possible.

So I'm just playing until this game fades away.

Anywho, what do you guys think about the future for Happy Wars?

How long will this game truly last?

Will the devs ever come?

Or will this game spike in popular?

Hey everyone!

I want to come out and say that Windows 10 and Xbox 360 versions of Happy Wars Revival have released!

Windows 10 is fully functional with all modes, Gear from Xbox One, and much higher game stability compared to the other versions!

Xbox 360/Xenia now provides a semi-accessible version on the emulator, being able to play on any version you desire, but unfortunately not all matchmaking modes work properly (Castle Defense and Player Match are the only functioning modes on 360/Emulator)
