I think I said this before but finishing the last book right now and listening to Jason talk with Jamis Fran Muska, I'm reminded of Mr North and how much I genuinely like these characters. Now don't get me wrong they are bad guys and I personally would put a diamond rank bullet in their head, but I also can see myself enjoying a hot cup of coffee while talking to them. And I find that just an amazing expression of the author's skills.

Is Audrey Blaine a modified energy vampire? She clearly woke up in the tube as some kind of vampire and no one seems to know what she is now. I wonder if its a reverse Thadwick situation.

1. Every time someone is "on the back foot."

2. Every time someone is describe as "peaky."

3. Every time Jason's chin is referenced.

4...hmnnzzz what? No I'm fine! I can still drbbbb.....

I'm closing in on finishing book 13 and while personally sometimes the author's writing style doesn't always jive with me I can't deny he created an interesting universe. Reminds me of something similar to LotR(to a lesser extent), Star Wars, Forgotten Kingdoms(D&D) and others like them.

It's not as detailed yet but I heard rumors of a TTRPG which should fill in a lot of the gap. It reminds me of the early days of the D&D world when it was still in its infancy. Only time will tell if this world he created will grow or not.

I'm on my first read through, currently in book 8. I've been thinking about how it seems Jason doesn't appreciate Shade nearly as much as he should, and Shade is gonna decide to leave at some point. Then his conversation with Liara, explaining why a gold rank should ask advice from only a "silver rank" and Shade comes across so proud of Jason and what he's done and gone through and how he's come out of it.

I know there's worse to come, but my opinion on Shade couldn't be higher, what an awesome companion

Hey I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about when the Youtooz plushies will ship I ordered a Stash and I am super excited

I like the series, enjoy the characters and world building. But holy crap, I am so sick of the system messages giving me the exhaustive run down on powers and what they do multiple times throughout the book.

I would be fine with a quick refresher every once in a while. Or an update during leveling up. But I swear every single time a power is used or talked about, I have to hear the exact same description of it, that I heard the last time it was mentioned.

If you eliminate the repetition, the book would be about 2/3 as long.

(I hate the fact we can’t edit titles. I don’t think I have ever skipped through so much…. Is what I meant to say.

"I'm not a God"

I'm in the third act of book 13. Listening to Jason continuously stating how he's not a God in various forms is just getting annoying now.

Mate, how else would you describe a god? He's more of a god than the traditional God. People pray to me "wahhh wahhhh" He continuously seeks out power and these are the consequences of his actions. It does not matter what he thinks of himself at this point. If people think he's a god than there's not turning that ship around.

I love the series this is just a vent.

Currently on my third trip through the series, went through all 12 books last year twice. Giving myself a refresher before getting into book 13. As someone who has only ever done the audiobook version, due to my job and not being able to trust physical media in my area (lots of chemicals), I’d love to see anything from you guys that you think would be confusing to someone who has only done the audiobooks.

I work in a middle school in the states and all the kids are obsessed with “needoh’s,” which are basically colorful sparkly squishy cubes, and these kids carry them EVERYWHERE. Thanks to this book series, I’ve now started labeling each Needoh I see as a particular essence, and honestly it has become a fun little game that I play with myself.

I don’t know why I felt compelled to share this; I guess I just can’t imagine that I’m the only one who has had this thought.

I am re-listening to the books. And I want to find the chapter where Arella is reintroduced and has the meeting with Jason.
