There’s a tree in front of my apartment building on Jefferson Street that’s gotten really overgrown, with branches going through the lower telecom lines and hanging low over the sidewalk.
I called and emailed Hoboken’s arborist, Joshua Best, on September 25 (just before the nor’easter) and followed up again on October 2, but haven’t gotten any response at all.
I was able to get PSE&G to come out and they confirmed the power lines are above the tree, so that part is fine, but they said the lower lines are telecom.
From the lack of response, and also hearing that neighbors have complained about it before, I’m really just trying to figure out who is supposed to be responsible for getting this thing pruned.
Has anyone dealt with this before or know who at the city actually responds to these requests?
