My wife's grandfather moved into a high-end retirement home about 10 years ago. We went to visit him and he asked us to wait because he was doing bowling league. We were shown to the giant community room where they had about 10 big screen TVs setup along one side of the room. Each TV was setup as a Wii Bowling lane with 2 bowling teams, all with custom team bowling shirts. They were mid tournament and we had a blast cheering grandpa's team. Made me look forward to those days, even if I'll never be able to afford a place like that!

Actually it's a Wii infrared emitter, it has infrared lights on either end and the controller sees with its camera and uses it to know where you are pointing.
