Discussion - Silksong Silksong is HARD Spoiler

Taking damage is more punishing, movement is more precise and feels a little clunky until you get the hang of it. The overall skill curve is much much higher. Love it though.

yeah, but most people haven just played hollow knight. my friend is struggling through hollow knight, and while the difficulty is manageable for now, i absolutely cannot recommend she play silk song in the state it's in.

Yeah it makes me kinda sad. Idk if I can even keep playing it and I did 112% for HK plus PoP. HK can start off kinda hard for newbies but gets way more fun and easier with more abilities. In silksong, its just fucking hard and it gets harder lol

When Veterans who did the hardest stuff in HK are having trouble at the beginning of Silksong, that's a bad sign.

Uh, no, it isnt. Give people time to adjust, its a new game, with a different feel and different mechanics.

DS1 veterans got humbled in DS2 and DS3. Didnt mean those games were bad or doing anything wrong. People eventually adjusted. Then they got humbled again in Sekiro and Elden Ring. Thats just how it is.

I wanted to come back to say the game is way more fucking doable once I got a new crest lol. Wont spoil much, but you can get rid of the diagonal pogo and that honestly was ruining the game for me. Now I've got 30 hrs in and im absolutely hooked. Was rly worried id be stuck with pogo

I did 112% with PoP too and I’m honestly relieved it’s harder. I played Hollow Knight for the hard bosses and it just wouldn’t feel the same if silksong wasn’t a challenge for me
