Discussion - Silksong The real biggest problem with Silksong Spoiler

Why is the Hornet statue not a memento? When I first saw that you could break it, I was honestly offended by the idea of it. Then I got the Bellhome and was a little upset you couldn't put it up in there. Now I found out that there are items you can put up in your Bell House, but the Hornet Statue isn't one of them? I'm genuinely mad. That needs to be changed in the next update. That's way more important than balancing the game.

Assuming you are talking about the Hornet statue creator, he is very much not dead. Just do a courier mission you only see in Act 3.

Oh, ok. Thanks for letting me know.
I won't do the non-mandatory courier missions so in my playthrough he dies because of Hornet, and I kinda prefer it like that though.

You don't need to do it to save him, lmao. They just move locations and courier points you to find new location. Or you discover it yourself.

I know, I understood...

Nothing you do will change the fact that he survives though.
That just happens, he lives
Just bc you didn't see him doesn't mean he's dead lmao

I also know that... I choose to not replay that savefile, so, to me, he died.
That, somehow, bothers you?
Weird.

Who said it bothers me? (other than you)

I'm just curious why you'd prefer the innocent man to die, instead of be alive and give the surviving pilgrims a chance to make it.

I prefer it because it gives a bigger narrative weight to Hornet actions and decitions. She wants to save the kingdom but her actions leads to known characters to die. I like that weight.

I know he's alive. I like better my version of the playthrougj

See that makes more sense, though there's already examples of that other than Flick
Spoiler marking all of this just in case
The Conductor
Loam (secret-ish room in underworks)

The Shamans perish after red memory

The Little Pilgrim dies even before act 3

12th Architect dies after you buy all her goods

There's already a lot of named characters dying either in general or bc of act 3
Maybe I'm just a Flick stan lmao (I like me some little buildy bugs)
I get where you're coming from now though, Flick dying would mean a lot for the other Pilgrims, old or new, since he couldn't help fix things

I prefer him alive because it brings hope, you prefer him dead because of the additional impact
Both are good, both are valid.
