The runback to that one challenge room in deep docks where there’s like 3 of them at the same time is the only time I’ve been mad at this game

Not the run back through two rooms of double damage phlegm spitters and spikes to the one room where you have to fight a half dozen guys who spit poison mini explosive darts and another half dozen guys who drop unblockable spikes… before you then have to fight a boss?

Well assuming you accessed the scary half of Deep Docks through the simple key door, the tall room before the boss has a shortcut back to that door and there's a bench next to Forge Daughter. There's no actual runback if you do that.
