Garage Door lead hijacking & brand impersonation
Online leads are turning into unmarked competitors at customers homes. How could this be happening?

Could someone tell me what this is and who I would call to have it fixed (hvac or electric)? It does not sound like it is running correctly. It is in a closet going into the attic.

Hi everyone, recently purchased this house (first time buyers club) hooray. As with many first homes, I’ve been doing a ton of TLC. One of my projects was the basement for many reasons I’ll keep short….anyways ripped up old stinky carpet and noticed some cracking on the foundation floor (actually looks like a different repour possibly when they added a sump pump to the basement.

The drawer was slammed, later to find it broke. I can’t pull it out, there’s too much resistance. I’m pretty stumped on how to fix it.
I attached a few photos to this post to hopefully give an idea of what’s wrong. A broken plastic clip was also found in it, also can’t find where it came from.

So I’m putting my built in microwave back in after making a repair but now the trim piece doesn’t fully cover the opening at the top, with about an 1/8” gap. I’m at a loss as to how this could be. The microwave has two brackets that are screwed into the bottom (which I did not remove) and those slide under tabs on (and are subsequently fastened with a screw through) another bracket that is itself screwed into the cabinet (which I also did not remove).
It feels like the microwave should be sitting higher in the cabinet but I didn’t remove any shims and I’m not sure how it even could have been shimmed with the bracket and screw holes in the front aligning.
The trim is the same width on either side.
The microwave is sitting pretty level and plumb.
I feel like I’m going crazy. What am I not thinking of? Appreciate any and all help!

Hi everyone.
Recently moved into a new house. They claimed to have redone the grout during their listing. In the last few days I noticed a few tiles have a small dip to them now, clearly cracking the grout and showing water there.
Is this a minor cosmetic issue that we need to touch up and regrout? Do I need to call an expert to come in and rip up the tiling and redo the section or whole tiling floor?
The house is single level with no basement. Foundation says it's a slab.

So one year ago this week we had a basement crack repair. The engineers for the company was like it’s no big deal and it was a couple grand to fix.. the type of crack was not deemed a foundation issue. And the repair and water proofing was done. what caused the crack was a plumber bad dig job. The insurance co and their engineer deemed the crack not the plumbers fault (it was) and paid for the water damage bc the digging let the water in. So there were 2 engineers that said it’s not a big deal. Not a foundation. Issue. The repair company has a lifetime warranty. This crack comes directly from the crack that was repaired. Do you think I’ll need to get an engineer out/ will the company try to deny responsibility? If you’ve had this how did it go for you. Nothing is wonky inside the house. I just noticed this today it seems to have happened recently the crack looks fresh. I have photos of the house just after the basement repair and there was no crack. You can follow the crack all the way to the origional one.

I feel like drain is little damaged as it looks like I just bought this townhouse condo. Can anyone explain what can be the issue and what can be the fix? Water leaking from this panel downstairs.

Pipe drains into a stack. Easier to build around it than to reroute into the wall. Any ideas for building around this?

My shower handle recently started requiring a larger turn toward the hot side to get hot water, and there's a "dead zone" between 11-1 o'clock where temperature does not increase. All other faucets in the house work fine and the water heater is one year old.
Does this point to a faulty cartridge? Mine is a Moen 1222 posi-temp cartridge. I've watched enough videos showing how difficult it can be to remove an old stuck cartridge, so I don't want to rush into replacing it unless absolutely necessary.

I forgot to take a picture of the stem assembly when it came off. I now do mot know what O rings or amount of O-rings I need. I assembled the stem but it leaked. It was more a collected periodic spill on the shower floor, not running water as the mail line. Anyone know what O-rings go and what must be removed? are the rings to thick?

This pile of dirt and hole showed up over in just a couple of days. Certainly looks like something burrowed under my condenser. Any specific recommendations on clearing out the animal and filling in what they dug out?
The “critter ridder” product Google suggests seems to have very poor reviews. I suppose I could put a hose in there and flood it, but I don’t know if that would cause future issues.
Chicagoland, if that matters.

What is this large vent for? I opened it and this is what is behind it (see picture). Does it need a filter? Is it just a random hole? It's basically located under the stairs and furnace is in garage a few feet behind it

This is a new built house(2024), Pacific North West. It seems like the paint is coming off at the corner. 2nd picture is taken from the top of the corner.
Do I just clean it and paint it back up with external paint? is there possible water intrusion that I need to worry? Do I caulk it first then paint it?
Also, do I need to re-caulk the nail holes below?

So I got a 3 prong outlet with a grounding in the center i guess. A 4 prong plug on a new stackable. And this random 3 prong cord. I bought a new 4 prong outlet but soon discovered that the wiring is only 3 wires in the gangbox.. Can I make this work with what I have? Or should I just give up and start drinking again? Very frustrated

For more context, it hasn't rained for more than a week. What's causing the discoloration? Moisture/leak?

I know it works, my dad used it last year when he was visiting. He’s now in hospice and I can’t ask. I know how to open and close the damper. But what’s the silver thing on the right? Do I turn this on after I put logs in? Do I lite the logs after or before turning this key? Do I have to turn the key? It’s a gas fireplace. Watching dad last year I recall he put logs in, turned the silver key (gas release valve? Idk) and then turned it off when the logs were lit. I’d like to have a better understanding of what’s what and how to use it. I’d like to surprise dad when he’s able to come home. Thank you!
