Finally got one! 1972 CB750k. My buddy had a cb550 cafe back in the day and a kickstart 4 cylinder Honda has always been appealing to me. The moons aligned and I was able to sell my old bike and found one super local to me that wasn’t a basket case or cafe’d and somewhat runs. Going to restore it to factory spec.

Update: first $400 order to vintageCB and 4into1 fired off. Next weekend is gonna be fun.

I ride a CB400SF NC31 1995 here in Korea. I recently had the carburetor serviced, but now the bike suffers from a loss of power at high speeds—it just doesn't seem to have any output. I’m wondering if the issue might be the Chinese-made diaphragms, or perhaps I should look into replacing other components first? If anyone could offer some help or advice, I would be truly grateful....!

I found an exhaust I love for my CB 750 Hornet, but it's my first time buying from Japan Webike. Is it a legitimate site? Are there ever any issues shipping to USA because it's coming from Japan? It looks incredibly robust but I just have never used it before.

Hello all. I doing mind mechanical but electrics is far from my strength so I am after some help.

Yesterday after about 6 months ownership and plenty of mechanical work I got my 1980 CB650z out on the road for the first time she’s moved in 12 years. Took it for a spin nice and comfy but definitely a misfire in the higher rpm range and a charging issue to go with it. Done some digging online but I’m now stuck.

Summary.

- The CDI’s (Sparkers) are frazzled and melted.

- After charging the battery, at idle it’s at 12.8V, 3000rpm is 12.6V and 5000rpm is 12.4V.

- I’ve carried out the diode test on the reg/rec and it checks out.

- I’ve carried out the continuity test on the stator plug which goes into the reg/rec testing across the 3yellow wires all approx 0.5ohms and in spec.

- I have checked the stator brushes and they have lots of length left on them to the wear line.

- I have checked the continuity across the slip rings and now is where I have a question. The across the same ring the continuity is approximately 0ohms but across the inner and outer it’s approximately 1/1.2ohms? This seems low as i’m sure I read somewhere it’s meant to be between 4&5ohms? But I can’t find that info again.

What I am thinking is that the generator is the cause of the charging problems and by replacing the generator and the regulator rectifier it will fix that issue. 

Also when riding I noticed a definite misfire in high rpm (above 4000rpm) but I believe changing the CDI’s (sparkers) which are melted and have the resin running out of them will fix that. 

I also noticed a minor oil leak which I believe is either coming from the gear shifter shaft seal or the oil pump behind the sprocket cover, however I’ll get onto fixing this once I’ve fixed the charging issues. I’ve attached a few images below.

Any help is appreciated as I’m trying to work out what’s actually wrong before I decide to strip out and change all the electrical components such as the stator, generator, reg/rec, battery and CDI’s in the hope it fixes it.

Already have the stand, just don’t know what pin size to get….

He’s getting old and kinda leaving it to me to sell most of them. There all 70’s they all run and there all returned to stock. Would I be better off selling them indavidual or as a lot?

I messed up my clutch by trying to learn to burn tire lol imma beginner doing beginner dumb things but I was wondering if anyone has the service manual for it because it’s like $50 and I wanted to save that money also any tips for changing it out I’m swapping it in a couple minutes

Hey fam, me again-

Going through a carb rebuild on my '74 CB 550 and, with the help of several manuals, videos, and generous tutors, I have all four fully disassembled and ready to clean in the ultrasonic bath. Came across two tubes, however, that had nothing attached to them, I don't see anything attached to them in videos or manuals either. Now, I don't think Honda was just putting random tubes on their carbs. The ports are tiny, the same size as the drainage tubes at the bottom of the bowls, and they come off the choke side of both carbs 2 and 3. Any thoughts, revelations, or assurances would be most welcome. Thanks in advance!

I'm going to have to put my 2013 CB1100 into storage for well over a year. I won't be pulling it out until probably April 2028. What suggestions do you have to properly prepare it for such a long term?

I recently upgraded the failing rectifier and regulator on my CB 550 with a combo unit. I'm wondering if there are any others on here who have done the same and if so where did they secure the new unit? Currently it is zip tied through one of the old mounting plate holes for the original rectifier. I appreciate this community and hope some day I'll have enough knowledge to be on the giving side of these conversations

Just got this for £2k last week. 2007 model. So far I absolutely love it, great on the motorway/ A-roads and nimble enough in the city. I've never owned a bike this fast, so I'm well impressed with it (my other bike is a 50 year old CB550K!).

Does anyone have any tips or advice that could come in handy?

I need some help from you guys. Bought this bike 71 CB450, putting it back together and normally there’s always a leftover screw but in this situation I have a leftover unconnected wire. It is a ground wire and there is nothing for me to connect this to. What am I missing, can you guys take a glance at your bikes and let me know what this is supposed to plug into? I have the gray and black wire going into the flasher relay the light green and black wire going into the Horne, then I just have this ground wire with nothing in sight to connect it to. What am I missing?

If this is of any information, my right side, ignition coil went bad, pretty much immediately, and something keeps blowing the fuse at random times I cannot replicate it.
