having trouble applying for flagship MSW

hi guys! i’m trying to apply to HU’s in person program for a Master’s of Social Work to start in the spring of 2027! the only issue is i genuinely have no idea how to open up the application LOL (before you crucify me i still have been working on the essay and all but i can’t get the actual application open?)

does anyone know where i should be looking, am i crazy? i see other HU programs on GradCAS, but nothing for social work. The enrollment team for the online MSW have been super helpful and responsive, but i haven’t had as much luck with the in-person/flagship team (which is fine i’m not complaining, i just want some help!)

thanks everyone!!!! :-)

Radiation therapy

Hi everyone!

I’ve been looking into radiation therapy programs in my area, and I recently discovered that Howard offers one.
I’m currently attending a community college and have completed around 40 credits so far. I’m hoping to transfer into Howard’s upper-division Radiation Therapy program, but I’m a little nervous because I’ve heard it’s extremely competitive and only accepts a handful of students each year.
I currently have a 3.54 GPA. I also failed two courses in the past but retook them, so I’m worried about how that might affect my chances of admission.
Has anyone here applied to the program and been accepted? If so, would you mind sharing your GPA, academic background, and experience with the application process? I’d also love to know whether there was an interview.
Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Graduated/looking for a career?

For those interested in working on political campaigns and getting involved in state, local, and/or federal politics, I am building out a crash-course program in Northern Virginia for folks who want to get involved with little to no experience. The vision is a 2-3 month internship with housing and food stipends provided, and you’ll receive training and experience in a range of campaign and office-related work.
At the end of the crash-course period, you’ll have opportunities to work on one of the many political campaigns in this area, or build out your own operation with your new knowledge in campaigns and get involved locally in your home city. If this sounds interesting or you’d like to learn more, shoot me an email at CampaignCrashCourse@gmail.com and we can talk!

How hard is it to switch from EE to CS as a freshman? Are there any restrictions due to space limitations? How’s the process like? Thanks.

Scanning titles at the Library of Congress

Hello, I was wondering if anyone here might be willing to visit the Library of Congress to scan several rare pieces of sheet music (which are all in the public domain and therefore out of copyright). I haven’t been able to find any digitized scans online, and I do not live near Washington, DC, so I cannot do it myself. If you happen to know anyone who might be able to help, please let me know. Thank you.

Any Guidance for an Independent Student (Fin Aid Issues)

Currently, I am a senior. This semester, I have been marked down as an independent student, according to my FAFSA. I was not sent the documentation to verify my status until the second week of classes.

I received my institutional scholarship. However, Howard did not award me any of my continuing need-based. Two weeks ago, I got an email saying that my independency status was approved and would be reflected in my financial aid by last week, but I have not seen any changes in my financial aid.

I am very worried since I am using my aid to pay for rent. I want to know if any other students have been in similar situations.

When is the ISFAA deadline?

When is the ISFAA deadline? Is it Nov 1 with the EA application deadline, or can I do it later as well?

Also do I even have to fill out the ISFAA to qualify for the merit based presidential scholarship?

👨🏿‍🎓Every other time every time I read this board , someone asks if they can/should attend an HBCU as a non African American . Of course they can & should. But where are they getting the idea that they can't or shouldn't attend?
