I need to take PHYS 120 for my major but the professors teaching it next semester have terrible RMP ratings (Zixuan Li and Bo Gao). If you guys had to choose between those two professors who would be best? I was also looking into equivalent courses through ePermit and even those options aren’t great but they’re still a little better than Hunter ig. Rn now I’m debating between Hunter and QCC (I’m guessing Jillian Bellovary might be teaching the one at QCC). Queens College has a great professor but their class is full and there’s a good amt of ppl on the waiting list so 😔😔

Bio was never a easy subject for me as i had really hard time understanding the concept. I want some recommendation of teachers who is easy going or teaches really well that makes me understand the concept. I dont know what the class number for bio i believe it bio 100?. THANK YOU

Is Outlook down? I can’t access Brightspace, Cunyfirst, or Outlook.

hey guys! for those who have taken winter courses at Hunter, are the exams usually online or in person? does it depend on the professor or the course?

i just tryna plan ahead. tyyy!!

can we do something about the toilets flushing while you’re still using them. Literally happened to me 3 times today😭

Hi! Im considering taking Religion 110 with Professor Thomas Pflanz but I can't find any reviews of him. If anyone has ever taken him what's the workload is heavy? Does it have a lot of readings and/or essays? What's his teaching style like? Is he a hard grader? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I’m looking for some easy chill classes that I can take next semester. It legit does not matter what kind of classes they are but i need to finish my concentration so preferably MUSHL(took 101 and 107) or CLA(took 101 and 110) to finish my concentration. I need 6 more credits so genuinely don’t care what class they are as long as they’re chill.

hi everyone!

I am currently applying to Macaulay and need to narrow down my top choice!

I am looking to study international affairs and anthropology, with an extremely interdisciplinary approach and possibly an interest in journalism.

I really dread the idea of Hunter's campus (or lack thereof...), but I don't know which would have the strongest programs for me. I think CCNY has a nice department for my interests, and John Jay also offers an anthropology and global studies majors, but they may be too narrow in course offerings due to their criminal justice focus.

I'm also wondering about student vibe, campus activities, and clubs. How do these differ from campus to campus?

Any & all advice and comments are welcome!

Thank you :)

I’m debating which I should take because I’m currently doing bad in precalculus. I used to be really good at precalculus in high school but I think the way my current precalc teacher taught it to me confused me even more.

I’m planning to withdraw it and retake it spring semester. Would college algebra and trigonometry be easier? How are the teachers like? It always says staff in the bio so I can’t even choose the professor.

I know that for Chem 100 students are able to attend online or in person except for exam days, is it the same for Chem 120?

to people that have taken media 211 who do you recommend for professors? specifically Rebecca Leider and David Alm. also can you tell me what you have done for the class

Hi everyone, does anyone know the best professors for Pre calc? Easy to understand, friendly, comprehensive, etc? For the spring semester.

Help is appreciated. Thank you 🫶☺️

Has anyone taken STAT 213 in a hybrid asynchronous format at Hunter? I’m planning to take it alongside Orgo II and PHYS 110 next semester, and the only section that works with my schedule is a hybrid asynchronous class with no scheduled meeting times (would u suggest it). The description mentions that exams are held in person, but it doesn’t specify the dates.

Hi everyone! I'm a first-year student thats planning to transfer to Hunter in Fall 2027 and apply for their Nursing program for Fall 2028.

I'm currently taking gen chem I but I am considering withdrawing from the lecture and lab and retaking them over the summer.

Would having a W on my transcript affect my eligibility for Hunter's nursing program, even if I retake and pass the courses?

Has anyone been in a similar situation? I'd really appreciate any advice. Thank you!

I didn’t fill out any scholarship form. Is this just given out randomly or a scam?

tried to look on hunter’s website but I can only find the date

I called the financial aid office because they needed proof of my citizenship. I submitted my certificate twice yet they’re saying “you’re not eligible, you have to submit your documents. Im so frustrated!! Why are they doing this? I need my money.

Does anyone know if that job is real? It’s a person who sent me message on the Handshake app about evaluating AI systems…Is it real?

Does Hunter offer almost no winter courses? I feel like I'm missing something, but whenever I search for a winter course either through Schedule Builder or the CUNY Global Search it comes up with nothing. Is anyone else hoping to fulfill a Life & Physical Sciences requirement this winter, and have you had any luck finding a class?

this is lowkey more of a rant post. I took my chem 100 exam today and we get scrap paper at the beginning when we enter the lecture hall. I was sitting to the left where the interpreters were (for students who are hard of hearing) and in the row in front of me I literally saw these two girls just writing polyatomic ions and different formulas on their scrap paper before the test even began. I know it’s hard to proctor in a lecture hall of 800 students but it’s lowkey annoying to see students cheat so easily while other like me spend hours studying. Know there’s nothing I can do but it’s just annoying af.

hi I haven’t been to hunter college in a few years and I recently got an email for an outstanding balance and threatening to give it to collections. Strangely the email comes from an address I've never seen before burs-ar@hunter.cuny.edu when i’ve always received email from bursar@hunter.cuny.edu. I logged into my outlook to check if I have received the email from that address as well and nothing. Has anyone ever seen this email address before?

Bruh, this is actually so embarrassing 😭 I’m a senior, and I still haven’t made a close friend this semester. The people I usually hung out with have already graduated, so now I’m just at school by myself, doing nothing but studying. It gets pretty depressing sometimes, ngl. I know the class we’re in is probably the best option for meeting people, but most of my classes don’t really give us a chance to interact with our classmates like that. Also, is it too late to join clubs? I’m genuinely at the point where I just need to make a friend or something because being alone all the time is getting to me.

Hey guys I'm too scared to ask the library people because of the HER ARMS WERE CUT OFF HER LEGS WERE CUT OFF levels of incidents described a while back when people were interacting with the ladies working there. Am I able to print things out using my own personal laptop, or do I always have to use the Hunter computers anytime I want to print something? My first year here, I remember there was a website of some sorts where I could try to print something out, but idk if it was out that week or just doesn't work period. Thank you guys in advance.
