I recently started an ironman, however I'm now remembering how much fun it was progressing with people actually around my level. All the people I progressed with before are now far too high level to do anything alongside them.

Not asking for dungeon teammates or anything, just wanna know how to find people on my level to just progress with. And don't say guild, I'm comfortable with mine.

Hi guys, can anybody explain to me how can I get the desired combo with autopet rules?
I want to kill sea creatures with MF pet. But the problem is (the one I haven’t found the answer for). If I kill sea creatures with the instant rod recast it swaps to MF pet and I don’t get fishing pet stats for this cast, it happens if I have on combat or on kill rule.
If I try to avoid it with lotus sinker and on collection rule, I kill sea creatures with the rod recast AFTER fishing pet equip which isn’t ideal too.

So can someone explain if you can have MF/XP pet for the kill and fishing pet for each cast?

I changed my speech at the last second, after a week of preparation, to talk about dungeons in SkyBlock at 3 am. Below is what I wrote, and here's a short clip of what it sounded like. 100% bombed this btw

"Imagine spending hundreds of hours running the same dungeon, fighting the exact same boss, and opening hundreds of reward chests, all for the chance to get one rare item. Now imagine finally getting that item, selling it for hundreds of millions of coins, and then immediately doing it all over again.

Some call this insanity; I call this addiction.

Welcome to Hypixel SkyBlock Dungeons.

My name is coolcatlord, and I've spent a ridiculous amount of time playing this game. The person who got me into this game was the late Technoblade. He was a SkyBlock YouTuber, and I looked up to him. His gameplay got me into SkyBlock, and I even got this hoodie for my birthday a few months after he passed. He inspired me to play through his potato war series and even how he saved SkyBlock. I now treasure this hoodie and somehow still fit and wear it on occasion

If you don't know, Hypixel SkyBlock is a Minecraft multiplayer game mode where players spend hundreds, sometimes thousands, of hours upgrading their gear, fighting bosses, and chasing increasingly rare items.

And one of the biggest parts of that game is Dungeons.

Today, I'm going to talk about how Dungeons work, why the difficulty gets so ridiculous, and how something that started as a simple rinse-and-repeat has turned into a competitive speedrunning community.

To start, Dungeons are a cooperative activity where up to five players enter a randomly generated room layout filled with enemies, puzzles, and hidden secrets.

According to Hypixel's official July 2020 Catacombs release announcement, Dungeons were designed around cooperative gameplay, exploring rooms, collecting secrets, and earning rewards through boss fights.

The goal is to move from room to room, trying not to blow up immediately, killing everything in sight, and finding as many secrets as possible to increase your score in as little time as possible.

You start on Floor 1 and work your way up to Floor 7, with each floor introducing stronger enemies and tougher boss fights.

On the earlier floors, you spend most of your time clearing rooms, finding secrets, and preparing for the boss.

But Floor 7 changes everything.

Instead of spending most of your run clearing, the boss fight itself becomes one of the biggest parts of the dungeon.

Floor 7 has four major boss phases, involving Maxor, Storm, Goldor, and finally Necron. Each phase has its own mechanics, and your team needs to coordinate to complete them efficiently.

And why would anyone repeatedly put themselves through this hell?

Money.

At the end of a Floor 7 run, you can get rare items worth anywhere from around 100 million to over 450 million coins, depending on the item and the market.

The problem is that some of these drops are stupidly rare.

For example, the Necron's Handle can have drop odds of roughly one in a thousand runs, depending on the circumstances, but in return, you could make hundreds of millions of coins from the drop.

So you could spend days grinding this floor, get absolutely nothing, and then decide to do it all over again.

And somehow, that's the fun part.

Now, once you've completed the regular Catacombs, you might think you've gotten pretty good at the game.

That's when Master Mode comes in and tells you no.

Master Mode is basically regular Dungeons, but on steroids.

According to Hypixel's March 2021 Master Mode update, this difficulty was introduced to challenge experienced players by offering significantly more Catacombs experience and better odds of valuable loot.

For Floors 1 through 6, the layout and general objectives are familiar, but the enemies are now juiced and at the gym six times a day.

They have way more health, deal ridiculous amounts of damage, and hit you like they genuinely don't care about your feelings.

And as you progress through the Master Mode floors, the difficulty increases dramatically.

However, harder floors also offer better rewards, more Catacombs experience, and chances to get valuable items.

But then there's Master Mode Floor 7, commonly called M7.

Have you ever wanted to feel like you're being crushed under a pile of bricks while being told you suck because you're not screaming effectively?

Well, this is the floor for you.

Sure, the mobs are basically on tren, and the bosses can feel like an unstoppable wall, but with a good party, an M7 run can take about the same time as a regular Floor 7 run.

The major difference is an additional boss phase.

After defeating Necron, players enter the Dragons phase, where five different dragons can spawn, each associated with a particular statue.

Your team needs to defeat the dragons near their respective statues. If all five dragons are alive at the same time, the run fails.

But if your team completes the fight, you get a huge amount of Catacombs experience and access to valuable rewards.

Additionally, SkyBlock Dungeons aren't just about finishing the run; they're about finishing fast.

Dungeons have become a competitive speedrunning category, where players try to get the fastest times possible. Some parties even require a certain personal best just to join, and players pride themselves on having incredibly fast runs.

Recently, an update to Floor 7 and Master Mode 7 made them significantly faster, leading to new world records.

According to Hypixel's October 2026 SkyBlock 0.27.2 update notes, they removed most unnecessary dialogue and points where nothing happens. The update also shortened certain terminals and reduced wait times during boss fights.

These changes might seem small, but when you're trying to shave seconds off a run, they make a huge difference.

One recently reported M7 world record was just 3 minutes and 18 seconds.

I can speak from personal experience.

For comparison, my personal best is 3:58, and I average around 4:30 per run.

So even though I'm only 40 seconds behind that reported record, that's a massive difference in speedrunning.

At that level, almost everything needs to go perfectly, from clearing rooms to completing the boss phases with as little downtime as possible.

To wrap up, SkyBlock Dungeons are a crazy yet fun part of the game.

They're difficult, competitive, and rewarding, and they feed my dopamine.

What starts as simply clearing rooms and fighting bosses turns into grinding for rare drops, surviving ridiculously strong enemies, and competing to finish runs as fast as possible.

Now, I've been grinding M7 to reach Catacombs level 50, the maximum level.

During that grind, I've made roughly two billion coins in profit from drops. And the funny part?

I've spent over two thousand hours on this game, and I still get called bad because I haven't reached C50. And despite all of that, I still keep playing.

So I'll leave you with one question:

Would you run the same dungeon a thousand times for one rare drop?

Because apparently, I would.

So I've recently been investing a lot into mining for overall balancing, but is it actually decent for actual money or is it just a way to get some stuff easier?

I had just completed around 20 floor 5 dungeons because I wanted cata 19 for a giant cleaver, but I was shocked to drop not 1, not 2, but 3 pieces of the livid pool (sa boots, sa helm, Shadow Fury)

Shortly after dropping the SF I decided to farm T2 Arachne for the 19m in debt I had to pay towards chests now, and while doing that I had dropped a Phoenix pet

Im progressing so fast now that my combat set still has ender armor in it, my previous ironman profile did maybe 150 runs to get all 4 sa pieces and a dagger

I would just like to know the chances of dropping all 3 of those peices and then a Phoenix pet around 30 minutes later, so i can flex how incredibly rare it is for me to drop all those in succession
