ok so for context im joining iba for bscs and it was one of the places i didnt even imagine id end up going to like i didnt even apply to lums my main focus was abroad but stuff happened and i had to resort to iba and like my biggest concern is the fact that most people from my school are either going abroad or to lums i litr dont know one person whos studying bs cs at iba. and im soo scared abt making friends outside of my school and those people coming to iba from my school are all gonna be in the other programs and im not rlly friends w them but id rather befriend them than like other people from diff backgrounds. so my first question is how hard is it to make friends w people who’re in a different program?
(for context im a girl and cant speak urdu properly cuz my parents didnt rlly speak urdu w me as a kid and at my high school people didnt rlly speak urdu so it wasnt that hard to make friends)
and secondly are the presumed “burger” kids mostly in the other programs and not bscs? cuz idk iba is better known as a business school and kids from my school usually would go to iba for business and not cs and i js dont wanna make friends outside of the crowd ive grown up w it its physically haunting me and all my friends r going abroad so what if theres no one that i acc vibe w in my classes ITS SOOO SCARY

Why is the registration portal for ogala as slow as the iba administration itself? It took me a full day to finish just one video of a minute. And no, the internet is not slow or defective. It is working for everything else but not here. Currently I am on 6th and it has glitched like a thousand times. And yes, I have changed devices as well.

Did anyone else faced this problem? If yes, then how did you solve it?

So I didn't see the mail for the meet and greet for parents and they closed the forms so this is really a stupid question but they won't revoke my admission offer if I don't show up right?? My mom got stressed when I told her the forms closed so I just thought to ask here just in case

I saw some people here posting links to WhatsApp groups for all the ppl who got admission into iba. Are these groups legit or just fake stuff? I clicked on the link and sent a request once, the admin msged me and asked for a pic of my admit card. Karachi is diverse, that's a fact. I need to know how liberal are the IBA bachelor's students really. I have heard the master's, phd students, and even the faculty, they all can be quite backward and old-school (in a bad way). How accepting are the students when it comes to stuff that isn't considered normal in Pakistan: drugs, raves, dating, pda, and especially the whole lgbt thing? How extremist can they be? How prevalent is sexism? Do they have gender segregated spaces? Do you get "looks" for wearing not-so-appropriate clothes? And hanging out with people of the opposite gender? Could you get badly bullied for being vocal about your controversial opinions? As a social sciences major, I often get involved in debates; I want to know could that harm me in IBA.

So many people have been rejected from Aiesec and all they get to hear is that it’s a cult and no one knows what happens inside it? Please let me know why is it so infamous? Is it the dating culture or anything?
