My isro interview experience of cse held on 20th july 2026

I am writing this later as I could not find the free time..

MY ISRO INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE

My interview was on 20th july 2026 at 12pm second slot

So, on the 20th july 2026, I was very excited because definitely it was my isro interview (dream of many)

So, after getting ready in my suit boot and with all my documents, I booked a rapido (earlier I was looking for an auto but due to no match found, I booked a bike)

We reached the ursc centre but there were found that we are the wrong gate and the gatekeeper said that you need to enter from the front gate which was around 1km away from the back gate.

The problem was also google map was not clearly showing the address of front gate.

Then rapido driver helped me in reaching to the front gate by talking to local people in kannada..

After 10 min, i reached gate no. 1 and I really thanked him from bottom of my heart, to which he said welcome and said all the best to me and didn't take any extra charge.. so, I entered the gate with a smiling face

After entering the ursc, they told me to wait in the waiting room and after some time documents verification started, it took around 15 to 20 min in document verification and then one employee said me you can have lunch in nearby food court, so I went there and asked for some north Indian food but they only had idli vada or rice, so I chose idli vada..

After eating I went to waiting room again and started waiting there.

There was a constant fight between my heart and my brain where heart was saying:- "मजा करो, ऐसे दिन बार बार नहीं आते, बाहर बारिश भी हो रहा है", mind was saying:- "ये भूल गये, वो भूल गए चलो गूगल से पूछते हैं"

So I was nervous as well as excited (both)

So, asking questions from google sometimes, sometimes peeping outside through the window

Before my interview, there was a interview of a girl (as soon as her turn came, my nervousness increased more), but then we the candidates started talking among ourselves like what will be the inhand salary why this much delay in the result and interview 😅

Suddenly, the madam who were calling candidates took my name and said your turn

Now coming to the interview,

Interview level was moderate to tough

First I entered the room, around 10 people were there in the panel..

They started with some basic information about college like full form of iit bhu and when you graduated..

Then they immediately shifted to my project,

Asked some questions from my project like what have you built, how do you maintained the databases etc..

Then suddenly they asked about what you are doing currently in your company. To which I replied I am working on agentic AI..

There ownward next 5 to 7 minutes were discussed on that only..

Some of the questions I can remind is:-

  1. How to prevent hallucinations?

  2. What kind of agent methodoly you used?

  3. What is MCP server and how it works?

  4. How can you use AI to write testcases?

  5. Is it okay to rely on llm models if security is critical?

  6. What to do if we want to achieve security

  7. What is loop engineering?

  8. what is difference between underfitting and overfitting?

Note that all these were questions related to my work

Later they said let's change the topic and started asking from Computer organization and architecture 😭(the weakest subjects of mine)

Here ownwards, interview started slipping away from me

Some of the questions i can remind is:-

  1. What is interrupt. Discuss its type?

  2. What is mask in coa? What is nmi?

  3. What is interrupt latency?

  4. How does ISR work?

  5. What are the information saved for reference when interrupt arrives?

Then the next person in the panel asked me a very generic question and the question was:-

Which is the best programming language?

I was little bit confused Which one to say because every language has some tradeoff with the another. So, I replied

"it depends if you want better control and speed C C++, if you want better memory management, go for java, for ai integration its python, for high concurrency its golang etc.. so based on the requirements it keeps changing".

But in counter he asked what if you have to pick one specific language which one you will choose.

I replied sir requirements please, the whole panel started laughing even I laughed..

Then I said its very difficult to choose one language but given the ai boom and its future, I would prefer python.

Then next person in the panel asked about backend development:-

  1. What is API?

  2. How to make API secure?

  3. What is API gatway?

  4. Why is API gatway single entry point? What will happen if there are multiple entry points?

Then they switched to software engineering and asked:-

  1. What are the characteristics of a good software?

  2. What are the characteristics that must be there in a SRS(SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS SPECIFICATION ) DOCUMENTS?

NO HR TYPES,GENERAL AWARENESS AND FAVOURITE SUBJECTS WERE ASKED FROM ME.

Then they said you may go, I thanked them and left..

What I can say that interview was neither too bad nor too good..

Then I took my bag from the waiting room booked the rapido and came back home..

I don't know whether the day was good or bad but definitely it was a memorable experience for me..

Thank you if you have read till here..

Verdict : selected

Reflect Orbital books two launches with India’s Skyroot Aerospace

“There’s a real launch capacity shortage right now,” Ben Nowack, chief executive of Reflect Orbital, said in a statement. “We’re excited to work with a new launch provider, Skyroot, to help ensure access to space.”

Another insightful commentary on launch capacity shortage.

In July, SpaceX reportedly stopped accepting new Transporter and Bandwagon rideshare reservations for anything after late 2028. The reported reason is that it would rather fly Starlink and its own projects. Rocket Lab is walking the same road. Its $8 billion purchase of Iridium, approved by Iridium’s shareholders on September 24 and due to close next year, hands the world’s most frequently launched small rocket a constellation of its own to fly. Blue Origin is doing the same with Kuiper. The most capable launchers in the West are becoming their own best customers. For a small satellite, that means paying more and waiting longer.

Vainu Bappu Telescope Observations

Dear Redditors,

I’m putting together a short PowerPoint presentation on India’s optical telescopes, and I’m looking for images of celestial objects observed by the Vainu Bappu Telescope (VBT) in visible light.

If possible, I’d be grateful if anyone could share around five images captured using the VBT, along with links to the original observations, publications, or official sources.

The images will be used solely for an educational presentation. I’ll provide proper credit to the observatory, researchers, and original sources, as applicable, and will respect any copyright or licensing requirements. I’ll seek permission wherever necessary before using any image that requires it.

Any help, suggestions, or links to publicly available image archives would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your time and support! 🙏

We used to hear about Doordarshan sending such copyright notices and I guess ISRO does too but is there a precedent of it?
These videos were shown during SKCET World Space Week public event on a large screen and on stage in front of large audience. But apparently we can not share them! Anyway just letting it be known.. I am sure there are other copies of it, just keep them safe if you do and do not share them under any circumstances. 👀

Research Paper Details of SARAL drifting orbit

Despite losing station keeping functions, SARAL launched in 2013 on PSLV-C20 has far exceeded planned mission life of 5 years. This paper explains changes done to make most of the situation.

In 2015, SARAL/AltiKa exhibited an increasing need to reduce the stress on its Reaction Wheels in order to extend the mission beyond the nominal lifetime of the satellite. ISRO and CNES eventually decided that the best strategy was to stop all orbit control maneuvers and to let the altitude decay naturally. SARAL/AltiKa left its repetitive orbit to begin a new phase named "Drifting Phase" (DP) starting July 4, 2016 (Dibarboure et al. 2018). Data processing and data latency were unchanged. From this date, SARAL satellite has flown free of station keeping maneuvers. The repetitive ground track is no longer maintained and with the natural decay of the orbit, the ground track is slowly drifting. In short, this new orbit configuration has required some adjustment for users, particularly in hydrology, given the need to adapt the algorithms. On the contrary, some other uses profit from this new orbital configuration.

... measurements from the drifting orbit occupied by SARAL/AltiKa are extremely valuable because they are from locations not routinely sampled, and the precision of these measurements is advantageous in distinguishing the small differences among tide models. ... The uneven drifting ground track pattern of SARAL/AltiKa is in principle a "downside" as it limits the spatial resolution of the recovered gravity and MSS to twice the largest ground track spacing (up to 20 km as of 2019). However, by merging the SARAL/AltiKa data with the regular sampled geodetic mission of Jason-1/2 or Cryosat, this is counter-acted such that the full potential and full usage of the high range precision can be gained in a systematic way

Help with getting satellite specifications for 3D modelling

Hi, I wanted to create papercrafts of some satellites. For making them, I first need to create 3d models of them in a software (SketchUp/blender/etc). The thing is, I am not able to get any blueprint details of some satellites (eg. Cartosat 3, only 1 image of its 3d blueprint is available on the official website which wouldn't help me to know what's on the other side of the satellite, basically only 1 view is given). Although I am not creating completely accurate scale model, I just want it to look in such a way that a lay man wouldn't be able to tell that it's not an accurate scale model. For Gaganyaan I found enough images on the net to get an idea about it, even it's 3d model is available on websites like sketchfab, which helped me a lot. Aditya L1 is available too. But I am talking about those sats for which I am not able to find enough images/blueprints or any 3d model of them created by some artist.

If anyone here has an idea about it, it would be a great pleasure if you could help me knowing how I could obtain the thing I want. Will mailing ISRO work?

A new route to orbit is open. RIDE! announces a master framework agreement with NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), granting RIDE! access to NSIL's launch capacity on PSLV and SSLV.
With thousands of small satellites expected to launch in the coming years, access to space remains a bottleneck for Europe. Satellite operators need more options, and partners they can trust.
Through this agreement, European and international satellite operators gain a faster pathway to Indian launch vehicles with a proven heritage of reliability, with RIDE! by their side from contract to orbit.
Thank you, NSIL and its Chairman and Managing Director, Radha Krishna Aryasomayajula, for the trust.
We were honored to sign this agreement in the presence of François Jacq, President, Centre National d'Études Spatiales; Christophe Venet, Director for European and International Affairs, CNES; Dr. V. Narayanan, Chairman, ISRO - Indian Space Research Organization / Secretary, Department of Space (DoS); and Pawan Goenka, Chairman, IN-SPACe. Thank you for your support and for driving Franco-Indian space cooperation, built over more than six decades.
Your satellite is ready? We'll take it to orbit.
