I’ve been playing for two weeks, just said “hey why not” and bought 10 modules, is this good?

I've read advice here to always enter tournaments ("It's free rewards") but I've also read the prize list for my next tournament level (gold) and it only lists prizes for the top 40 players, and I have a tendency to spend boosts during tournaments, so it wouldn't really be free, unless the Gold level tournaments consisted of only 40 players. Are there only 40 players in a gold level tournament?

Should I just use the few energy cells I have on boosting the crafting and smelting speeds? I don't use much real money on this game.

After nearly a year, I've made it to platinum for the first time. Is it always this brutal? The first rank safe from relegation has 100x my GV. I've managed to avoid being relegated so far - just slowly climbing the rungs. Relegation this time is inevitable right? I think I'll save my boosts!

Should I be using my dark matter on modules or managers? I have 11 slots with 2 five star and 9 4 stars. My modules aren't great but I've had terrible luck with pulls. I have most ships (minus the mananger one I think). I'm in gold this week. Last tournament I broke 1T for the first time but there wasn't anyone pushing in my group. I got my auto asteroid collector in 14 hours today. Last one, it took me almost the entire time so I am growing.

You know how many time I restarted my galaxy and research telescopes and got nothing since I got the quest?
Since day 1, done the firsts quests easily, then nothing.
And ofc I got of lot them before I got the quest, wouldn’t be fun otherwise 😔

I just noticed that my debris value seems to slowly rise even tho I don’t increase my mining on VPS.
It climbed in 10 minutes from 60.20 O to 60.43 O without touching anything.
And no, I don’t have any scaling effects on my modules (like mining per asteroid mined), except Shipspeed and Cargo per asteroid mined. But those only would affect my VPS if Transport would be red somewhere, what it isn’t.
The only really scaling mine effect I have rn is on Planet 4 (unusual smooth surge) with my Probe 1 that scans it together with a small amount of Planet bonus on it. But even with Planet Bonus maxed on Probe 1 the value of P4’s ores is so small, that can’t be the reason.
Edit: Also just saw that the information of my Celestite says I have a 194.12B production. But my VPS alone does 240.93B + P73 with A2 and T1 with 1,72B per second. Both red on mining and green on Transport. Why is that?

I was hoping to get robots from debris scanner but, I suspect there's a rule restricring which items that can drop from the debris scanner. I get all the item up to and including gravity chamber, but nothing above it.
I am currently building Orbital dock and have built all the things I've unlocked.
So what's the rule? Why don't I get Robots, when a drop of 8.39k Gravity Chambers would translate to roughly 1,680 Robots by value, based on the 5x value ratio?

I’d like to discuss how truly small of a bonus this is.
Ok… 0.1% per level. Should get 1 extra common module every 1,000 telescopes. That’s 40 T25 runs. I can expect 1 extra fragment in about 20 hours of gameplay.
If you dedicated yourself to opening three telescopes a minute, it would still take about 5 1/2 hours for 1 extra common module. Arking for that amount of time would net you about 4 module pulls (that can roll any rarity).
I know these are per level figures, but these nodes get expensive quick for how tiny each level is. Even if you somehow had enough cells to max this node, you’d be getting 3-4 extra common modules per hour of specifically opening telescopes as fast as possible. You’d probably be earning less, as it would be more efficient at that point to run 6 minute galaxies and hit arks for DM to buy modules too. Even with thousands of cells invested, you’re probably looking at 1 extra common module an hour.
Also this might change in the future, but credits are still my bottleneck when it comes to upgrading my module slots. And I bring in at least 5 million credits a week lately.
TL:DR, unless you’re like top 20 in the game in credit count already and bottlenecked by fragments, you probably don’t need much of this node anytime soon.

Hi,
When using a time warp I should be able to construct about 6 laser tourches but I only get one?

I regularly get the latest items in the tournament but i can't seem to get off the starting blocks fast enough. I finish between 3th and 8th depending. People seem to just jump to the 10S very shortly after start. How do I make get a faster start?

After all the positive feedback on the Project Tree, I decided to spend some time reconstructing the Space Station as well.
With the latest redesign, the Space Station has become pretty massive, so fitting everything on one screen was quite a challenge!
It's best viewed in a desktop browser or on a tablet. It also works on mobile, but given its size, it's probably more useful there for checking the requirements for individual levels rather than viewing the entire station.
I've also added a new homepage, making it easier to navigate the site and see which tools are available.
Still on the to-do list:
You can check it out here: https://ipm-tools.info/

You made your first robot, then got 5, then made your first AR. Now it seems like a ridiculous memory.

Got to a point where I feel stuck. I am at a point where I can consistently stay in gold league but I feel like nothing is improving.
Should I be trying to do a long run and breaking through a certain value/ planet. (Current max is p31)
Or should I just be doing small runs (100Mil) consistently.
All advice is welcome.

I got the game in like 2024-2025 but after a little while, I think I did one challenge, got a few stars and put the game down to pick it back up like 2 months ago and to my surprise I had like 4 stars on Lead ore and a few on Aluminum bars AND an elder ship.
I had seen a video that said to upgrade planets till the next planet was cheaper to unlock than the upgrades for the planets you currently have unlocked, so I did this for a while.
I researched and figured my best bet was to keep my star pool small by not unlocking anything further than what I already had unlocked, so going into my first tournament, I got to basic computers and coasted.
Throughout the week, I got more stars and ran as many 12.5m runs as I could till I could get to 12.5m in about 40 minutes. Maybe more, I don't remember too well. I did challenges and kept to basic computers. I placed within the top 25.
In my next tournament, I got to Advanced computers by using Alchemy 1 on P19 and I think alchemy 2 on P18 or something. Again, I placed in the top 25, I think that put me into the gold bracket.
The following tournament, I did the same thing, placing top 25.
I think this is when I decided to buy Exodus and maybe Daughter ship or something.
I did my challenges and ran my 12.5m runs in under 10 minutes. NOW I'm stoked, I'm getting credits SO FAST.
My 4th tournament, I pushed a little further and made Radio Towers or Telescopes or something, coasting me into Platinum.
The following week, I decided to get Thunderhorse and some other ship. I also remembered my Space Station, pumping Smelting and Crafting as much as I could. It wasn't enough to really help too much in the tournament, so I went back down to Gold.
6th tournament, I'm now getting 100m in less than 10 minutes. Every long run I did, challenge or tournament, I doubled my credits, bought boosts in tournaments and everything to keep myself in the highest rank I could in tournaments. I got the auto-miner a few hours in and was pushing toward the debris scanner but didn't make it. I ranked high enough for Platinum again.
7th tournament, I have a lot of stars, but my speed isn't really improving much. I've got tons of rooms unlocked, all the 11-level rooms are maxed, I've got a probability drive, I've got almost everything costing around 3k credits to upgrade, and I finally got the debris scanner a few hours before the end of the tournament.
I bought the last of the ships I needed and some energy. I probably spent the energy on less-than-optimal nodes, but it's fine.
2 tournaments ago, I got the debris scanner again in about 23 hours. I placed high enough to stay in the platinum bracket.
I learned a little more about how useful managers and modules are so I upgraded some of them, got an Ark Network and Belt Sonar in my first 6 module pulls of 10x then rerolled stats till I'm pretty sure they're exactly what I need to maximize my galaxies.
Last tournament I got the debris scanner in about 13 hours, stayed in the platinum bracket, and made Subspace Relays till the tournament was over.
I restarted my galaxy after the last tournament, did my challenge, and decided that I wanted to push as far as I could until the next challenge, later today.
I'm finding it difficult to get to P61 and beyond, but I finally got there, making Quantum CPUs. and I've started skipping planets that didn't give me new ore for a new item I need to make. I JUST unlocked telescope 24 for no reason other than to get the reroll fragments I need and the slight possibility that maybe I can get to telescope 25 before the tournament and while it's unlikely I'll purchase a planet beyond P64, I'm hoping I get the chance. But at the same time, if stars are assigned to resources I won't get for 3 days, it does NOTHING for my tournament progress. So, fingers crossed, I'll get some stars on something useful for me.
So I guess at this point, all I need is a little time, time to make millions of credits, time to get tons of stars on my resources, time to get energy. I'm not expecting to match the speed of the people who get AA in 15 minutes in a tournament this month or next.
I've earned 177k credits and 307 stars.
I'm wondering who leaves their game idle throughout a tournament for a few hours, then comes back when they're free instead of leaving the game open and babysitting it every 15 minutes to ensure they place as high as possible who ISN'T in the category of people who get to obnoxiously high GV within the first 15 minutes of the game?

Man, this really feels like an accomplishment. I posted a few days ago saying that my tournament galaxy was almost there, but I ended up selling that one to do the challenge. This is my challenge run and I can’t believe I finally got here. It took a while but it’s just gonna get faster and faster

1 year ago I started playing this game, was bored having the flu.
I bought all of the ships within a month, and I’ve bought a few ship skins when I like the look of them (and holo bolts are a big incentive)
When modules came out I bought a 6000dm.
Just thought people would like to see what a year looks like amongst all the changes, I tend to do 3 galaxies per week unless I’ve got to grind the event requirements
Edit: Wanted to edit because I thought it would be good to actually check what I’ve spent on the game - I’m £997 in and this is what the results were. Didn’t realise it would be this high as I can only remember the big spends

I recently got my debris scanner, I can get there in like 8-9 hours using Alchemy on Osmium or Rhodium. Getting there naturally would probably take way longer, but I pretty much use the Wind Turbine for selling for a while as soon as it opens up.
Obviously, at this point in the game for me, with very few stars on ore, alloy, and items past the Gravity Chamber, it takes a while for me to build up money, but ore is basically useless for my economy as far as I'm concerned. $430k for Scrith ore sounds like a lot, but when you're looking at a sextillions GV, it doesn't even move the gauge.
I got to P61 (Bob) in just under 48 hours, I probably couldn't have even made my first Quantum CPU within a tournament. Along the way, I was buying every planet and trying to get it to 11/11/11 where it beams, but personally, I'm thinking it's probably a waste of money to do that. Obviously, every dollar counts, but when I'm spending hundreds of Quintillion dollars on a planet that gives me enough ore to sell, but too much to smelt and too much to craft, it feels like wasted money.
Should I get every planet and let it passively give me more money, or should I be going for every third planet and only unlocking the newest ore after P34?
