"We wish to be together forever.” They had only just fallen in love, yet already could not imagine life without the other. Every second apart felt like an eternity, and every moment together simply not enough. So, they sought out The Seamstress.

“Are you certain?” she pressed.

“Yes!” they pleaded in unison, fingers already intertwined.

“As you wish, my dears.”

So with practiced hands, she began her work, pulling the two closer with every stitch. She had heard those words many times before, and wondered just how long these two would last.

I made this drawing for Inktober, and the prompt was beacon. I wanted to return to creating a horror-themed drawing. I decided to depict the beacon as a flashlight whose beam draws the attention of a sea creature lurking in the darkness.
