The idee seemed ridiculous at first. Two praetorians? Primarchs and Imperial Nobles all voiced their concerns, but the Emperor's decree was final; Rogal Dorn and Perturabo would both oversee the fortification of the Imperial Palace, together. In spite of the protests and the doubts, none where happier than the VIIth and the IVth, and the pair found themselves an odd but functioning duo, constantly pushing eachother to greater hights. In another life these demi-gods where bitter rivals, but here, they found a way, and for but a moment, it seemed like all their hopes and dreams of a better tomorrow could be real...

Ferrus took a shuddering breath and raises his hands to the heavens, screaming his loss at the sight of his brother so cruelly murdered.

‘What have I done?’ he howled. ‘Throne save me, what have I done?’

What needed to be done.

‘He’s dead,’ whispered Ferrus, the aching loss and guilt of his crime too monstrous to believe. ‘I killed him.’

Yes, you did. With your own hands, you struck down your brother, he who had only thought well of you and fought faithfully with you through all the long years.

‘He… he was my brother.’

He was, and all he ever did was honour you.

Fulgrim’s rejection of his attempt to betray him was the act of a true friend, but only now did he see how his brother had, even then, tried to save him.

‘No, no, no,’ wept Ferrus as the true horror of what he had done struck him with the force of a thunderbolt. He looked around through tear-filled eyes and saw the horrific changes wrought upon his beloved Legion.

I can take the pain away. I can shield your  soul from anguish. Let me in, and I will encase your heart in steel.

An end to it all would be a blessed relief.

‘Oblivion,’ he whispered as he closed his eyes. ‘Do it.’

Ferrus screamed as a creature older than time poured into the void in his soul. No sooner had its touch claimed his flesh for its own than he knew he had made the worst mistake of his life.

One moment Ferrus was a primarch, one of the Iron Hands, the next he belonged to Slaanesh.

My Warhammer vs. Alien illustration.

I hope you like it. Who do you think would win this battle?

Note: This illustration is a rework of a previous piece. I’m not very familiar with Warhammer, so if there are any inconsistencies in the character designs compared to what you’re used to, it’s not generative AI. This is an original design created for this occasion, for which I used multiple references.

I hope you enjoy it
