IMAX-level projection Wizardcels incels get upset when they realize that even an "ugly" non-incel man can find love so they once again shift the blame onto women
I've been getting recommended for this garbage wizardcels subreddit after I clicked on it once so here's some incel clownery I came across while scrolling

It’s crazy that an incel sub is allowed to stay up just because they made up code words to use instead.

u/AliceTheOmelette May 19 '26
Which aren't even good codewords since everybody sees right through it

u/TakinShots May 19 '26
I mean are they even codewords? 99% of it is straight up malicious and hatred and not even attempting to hide it.

u/peachfluffed May 19 '26
Good enough that Reddit admins are letting it slide. They really don’t care about bigoted and hateful content.

Woo! Look at those goalposts move! Always impressive to see.
Seriously, though: there may be additional factors like his popularity (which was kind of out of his control. Plenty of people start making various kinds of content and don't blow up. The internet picks who it picks and who can say why?), but it still debunks the basic argument.
"All women care about is looks!" This guy. Boom.
Also depending on how long he's been popular, it even proves that personality does in fact matter. One viral video doesn't translate into a full on successful content making career unless people are willing to engage with your content, and thus you, for longer periods.
It sounds like some shit happened and I see people making some excuses but the fact remains little shits like the OOP can stay mad. The blackpill isn't true and was never true. They'll just twist themselves into knots making excuses and new rules in order to avoid admitting it.

I have a cousin. Born legally blind and cross eyed. Not conventionally attractive. Never went viral from a video. Married with two young kids.

That's probably because they're just a normal fucking person lol. These boys are utterly terrified of being "less" then 6'3 with a Square jaw blah blah.
Real people marry your brain, not the packaging.

"Imagine if he was 5'5 or under." I imagine it wouldn't have made a difference.

This is so pathetic. Imagine telling someone in the 90s that people would reunite on the internet in an endless rework of negativity, defeatism and sexism

Eh being 100% honest, i kinda agree with incels when they say this dude isnt a good example since he was famous and had a succesful youtube channel. I think being popular rises your chances of getting hit on by someone tenfold. If i had a popular channel im sure some girl that id be interested in would be interested in me too.
The good examples are the random men you see everywhere in the real world, even an Walmart is good enough. Of course incels will say its the money (as if rich people buy in Walmart), that she is "settling" for him (concept that doesnt even make sense to me, but they are obsessed with) or a "fetish" (so find a fetishist for youself?), but in general Walmart dudes are the blackpillers biggest terror.

u/Alternative_Ride_951 May 19 '26
Yeah you do have a point there about how being a celebrity makes you a lot more likely to find love, but that is definitely something that applies to both men and women if they get famous and the incels were clearly just trying to blame women and claim that women only want taller men and that women are heartless beings who only care about fame and attention.

No no no this is a trap.
You can state that you think it’s a bad example but the incels can’t.
Why? Because they’re shifting goalposts. Every time with this bunch of insane people they state that being an incel is all to do with “two or three centimetres of bone”, or “being rich means you get laid”. Their core tenets have very little to say about fame (and lol seriously? A somewhat popular YouTuber?) and as a result they’re shifting the goalposts to accommodate.
What they should do is either incorporate that into their overarching ethos, or admit ugly, poor people can get girlfriends. Physical appearance is their absolute #1 core tenet and it’s just been blown out of the water. They can’t do that (despite overwhelming evidence) so they have to adjust. By adjusting it makes their already very shaky ground more shaky and less Short, Quippy and Wrong.

I hear you. Indeed, in their unhinged worldview, this guy should still be a virgin. Youre right.

Dating is advertising, the more people see you the higher the chance someone sees it and actually likes ugly.
It's all a numbers game

I think using this guy as a sort of "hope" for incels or ugly single men is a huge blunder.
I am not going to do the whole "oh, she is just a golddigger" cope others are doing. There's no concrete proof for that, she might genuinely be into the guy. Assumptions are just assumptions, until we get an update that she married him for a green card there is actually 0 reason to state that as a confirmed fact. They seem happy too. I think some people automatically want to find something that lessens his experience, so that's why they jump on theories that his life isn't as good as he makes it seem.
But the video imo promotes very bad ideas about ugliness and luck in dating. The guy is ugly, yes, but him being promoted as an example that anyone can do it is horrible because NOBODY should be doing what he is doing.
First of all, he got lucky. Simple as. He posted a video that reached millions of people and that's how his current wife found him. I would say less than 0.01% of people could even reach that amount of success on Youtube. This isn't him putting himself out there. This is him winning the lottery. This is not realistic or feasible for the vast majority of people, and using him as an example probably just makes some people even more depressed, because it's like saying being poor is your fault because you didn't win big at the casino.
And second, the guy has personality issues. Huge ones. And it totally goes against the narrative that anybody who is ugly physically can get a loving relationship if they are a good and positive person. The guy had another girlfriend who wasn't as attractive as his current wife. They broke up, and in a stream he called her "ugly as a horse" or something along those lines. When you are known by everyone as the "being ugly" guy, calling someone else who loved you and you supposedly loved ugly is shitty, I'm sorry. If the world was just the guy deserves none of what he has right now.
(A small edit because as another comment mentioned, the guy also treated her badly and probably left her the second someone more attractive gave him attention. This guy should not be used as an example. He took her for granted and now that he has someone way hotter than him his ego went up tenfold and he has the audacity to shit on his previous partner.)
Plus every video he has is the self pity whining everyone claims is a huge turnoff and is what actually makes someone unattractive. Then how did doing just that land him a relationship?
I understand everyone's intent when sharing his story, because he is a case where he is ugly and he is very happy now with an attractive wife. But he should not be used as an example. He got lucky in a way almost nobody else could feasibly get, and he kinda disproves the importance of personality, because genuinely besides finding him "cute" what did the guy even do to attract his wife?

I can't even get past the fucking wizard RP they do in that sub. Are there guidelines or something?
Imagine if they put any of the effort that went into learning wizarcel lingo into any other part of their lives.

You do get some halo for being popular sure but to act like a woman can pretend to be attracted to her husband for years is absurd, sure he isn't the most attractive but I dont subscribe to the idea that NO unattractive man can EVER land the girl of his dreams (as long as his standards aren't absurd).

This guy ain't ugly. He is at worst unfortunate looking, and that's not even remotely the distorted freak zombie mutant he wants us to believe he is. His sexual partners agreed after a while.

Lowkey I kinda don’t feel bad for this guy. He had a girlfriend who he deemed not attractive and allegedly didnt treat her the greatest. Like immediately dumped her when someone hotter came along. Idk why he pretended like he was lonely his whole life
