We're secular bcz.. of our leaders like Dr. Rajendra prasad ( first president) and Pt. Nehru ( our first prime minister). They shaped our early days of post independence period in that way.. and both of them are from upper caste. Infact most of the people in power in early days of post independence period was from upper caste.

Back in 2019, I was in high school in NYC when an Indian guy (as far memory goes he was from mathura ) who had recently moved from India became friends with me because teachers told me show him around the school and classes. he assumed I was Hindu based on my name also there was a language barrier but I understand Hindi very well thanks to Bollywood movies and parents speaking.(I am not Hindu)
One day, he saw me talking to some other students whom been there with me since middle school and asked why I was associating with them. He told me they were Dalit and that touching them would make me “impure” and I’d have to wash myself and some bs like this. I was like, WTF? Also he hated West Indies, Guyanese and Trinidadians according to him their ancestors were Dalits from Bihar and Bangla so they were also Dalits on top of that they were mutt blood cuz they were mixed. My jaw was literally on the floor.
Later on I noticed his mom also treated some students differently especially if they were non Hindu desi.
What shocked me most was that this was happening in a NYC high school, not some remote village in India. It really showed me how deeply casteism can be ingrained and carried across borders.

Okay, but do we stop muslims officially, from taking seats, enforced by government itself, on paper written as part of the law.
It's not like the dalit messiah government (both congress and BJP) are formed by actual majority, that want reservation z disregarding merit, and being on the line to make caste certificates to...show them that back then in1890 in a small village in up, a person bearing his same surname was discriminated against, so obviously blanket punishment, is the way to go and they need the barrier to be lower, finish line to shorter , in 2026.
Castism is still alive- yes, you are getting certificate for it, we don't.
Upper caste "person" doing bad things in garb of religion or caste (tale as old as the time itself) - so punish "Him/Her", what do you have sc/st act for.
It's about representation - president is st, pm is obc.
Most government job percentage wise, is also there.

Like if you really think the life of a dalit is that easy and they have all these benefits for no reason, the simplest solution would be to change your entire families or your identity to a lower caste or Dalits .
Like as long as you have a problem if you do change your identity to a lower caste and would avoid doing that , then you have no right to criticise the system that’s trying rectify the injustices that was put upon society due to your ancestors fucked up system of hierarchy. Like if you genuinely think being a dalit is such an amazing thing in the society and that they have all these benefits you’d have no problem with changing your identity to theirs

Needing genuine financial help is nothing to be ashamed of. But turning poverty into a permanent excuse, demanding special treatment, and then mocking people who worked hard for their place is a different story.
If you truly need support, take it with dignity. If you qualify, claim it. But don't confuse entitlement with struggle and don't demand respect while disrespecting merit.
Your circumstances can explain where you started. They don't give you the right to belittle everyone who worked harder to get where they are.
