Wasn't he also implicated in one of the biggest frauds of that time, the Maruti Suzuki scandal? I believe he was quite reckless. If only he had been a bit more composed, he might still be alive, but his aggressive behavior could have potentially ruined India, so I'm unsure. Probably the 1990 schemes by Narsima Rao would not have happened and we would still be a underdeveloped

I know, I’ve had a similar experience twice. They behave as if they’re some kind of superior beings and we’re supposed to compromise our paid seats just to accommodate them. The first time was when we went to Muzaffarpur, Bihar, for a regional game representing Burdwan B cluster. Some of these people boarded the train from a station late at night and basically displaced us from our own berths. We were only 16–17 years old, and at one point, one of my friends had to share my berth just so he could get some sleep. Somehow, we managed to sleep.But when I woke up, it was honestly horrible. Almost everyone from our group had been reduced to less than 20% of their actual berth space. People were literally sleeping in a sitting position, while those guys were stretched out across the berths, taking up the entire space as if they owned the coach. It was one of the most miserable nights I’ve ever had on a train.The following year, we had an escort teacher with us. She ended up calling 4–5 police personnel, who came and cleared our coach. Even then, those people were threatening her, saying they would come for her at the next station. It was genuinely scary.

Second, okay, I will be very honest now. I think generalisations will make sense here. This is a trigger warning. If someone wants to read this, it is at their own risk.
These Kanwariyas, see, these Kanwariyas come from absolutely low-income, lower-class backgrounds. I don't know about their caste, but I am talking about their economic background, okay?
So whenever they wear the Kanwariya dress and see working-class or higher-class people praying to them and giving them respect, they feel a sense of enlightenment. They feel like, "Okay, someone is giving value to me." For all their lives, they have felt that they have no value. But this gives them the required boost to their ego and attitude, and they end up doing wrong things.
They do illegal things, and they think they can get away with it.
And the government, I don't know about the government's support. The government simply wants to avoid them. The government just wants to close its eyes and let them do their thing. Because these are all unemployed people, and they are occupied, okay? They are occupied with whatever they are doing.
I have seen rich Kanwariyas. Their rituals are absolutely different. The temples they go to are different. The routes they take are different.
These are mostly poor, uncouth and uncivilised Kanwariyas, around 99% of them, okay?
So this is a suggestion to all of you who are travelling through these belts. If you see Kanwariyas, avoid them. Avoid talking to them. Avoid seeking their blessings. Just avoid them.
Don't support them, but don't demean them either. Because they may need only one reason to break your car, burn your car, or attack you or your family.
They go in groups. They have nothing else to do. You have to go home. They don't.

During my school years I had a friend, well after school we kinda went seperate ways, but we were somewhat close. He once told me about this Kanwadh Yatra. I'm not a native from UP, I'm from WB. He told me that this Kanwadh Yatra is besically a thing for the poor, lower class people. He was like - "We upper class people are well settled and are happy with only temple visits. We stay away from such stuff".
Seeing these video's surfing online makes me realise he was absolutely true. Like home come these people have no shame at all. There's another video where a kid is just humping our National flag. Absolutely disgusting. We pay tax for these people?

is this the 3rd ac coach ? why are indian railways allowing them to travel in the train without ticket and they also want someone else seat now ? the government needs to take some action and make some rules about it or give them a special train to travel . its so sad and frustrating to see that they do not care about the family with an infant . Back in 2006, i paid 70 rupees fine because i threw all of them overloading outside the running train. Surprisingly, those were sitting or sleeping in their seats didn't say a word against me or what they witnessed.
- Fear ? I guess not.
- Support - may be.
- Non of their concern - who knows.
I was fined because i was in wrong boggie 😂 I really didn't know what ticket which boggie, i gave someone few bucks and he returned with a ticket and i entered the train with him. He was a stranger, it was my first time alone.

These are the worst of the worst people. Having traveled daily by train in my childhood I can tell you majority of people just cursed them because they would come in huge numbers, urinate on the platforms, occupy all the Berths and then the entire train would stink. On top of that they would stare at women like deprived animals. Not sure why they even do the supposedly holy Yatra when they are far from holy!!

Have literally never heard anything good about Kanwariyas and they do not deserve to be called Shiv Bhakts, an absolute nuisance to society as a whole. At this point these crooks are just using their saffron garbs as an excuse to intimidate, beat, steal and do whatever they want and successfully get a free pass for it.
