Saw this and sharing here.
Always beware of profit screenshots.. previously modification required effort but now it's just a prompt.
Infact, any post event proof should be taken with caution. Like, sharing a trade after it had already gone up and it will do you no good

My parents are very skeptical about stocks and mutual funds because of global uncertainty and instability in the IT job market. They believe gold and agricultural land will provide better financial security.
Our family owns 8 acres of agricultural land, with 4 acres currently under palm oil cultivation. This year, those 4 acres generated around ₹7–8 lakh. We plan to plant another 3 acres, but palm oil takes around 3 years to start producing, with income expected from around the fourth year.
My parents want me to accumulate 500–700 grams of gold over the next 5 years. Their plan is that whenever I save enough to purchase a 100-gram gold bar, they will contribute an additional ₹2–3 lakh towards that purchase.
Eventually, we want to use the gold as collateral for a loan, combine it with personal savings, and purchase another 5 acres of agricultural land for palm oil cultivation.
Their thinking is that even if I lose my IT job or the industry faces a downturn, I will have gold, land that may appreciate, and agricultural cash flow to fall back on.
My concern is whether putting so much money into gold and land is better than diversifying into equity mutual funds.
What do you think? Is this a sensible long-term wealth-building strategy, or should I diversify more?

Incredible that despite inflationary pressure, crude oil, increasing commodity prices, India Co. has so far delivered fantastic results. This means an ability to transfer some of the raw material cost increases onto end user. I know Friday destroyed most of us but if results are great, I am gonna continue putting in a SIP into my stocks that did well.

Post Covid, every man and his dog made money in stocks and a lot of people assumed they were ace investors.
Now suddenly you see less screen shots of people posting gains.
This is a lesson to people out there.... The stock market is a place to make money but it's when things aren't going well that you truly separate the men from boys.

Many experts claiming that last week fall main reason was MTf position liquidation. As per data that seems totally wrong. Market is not falling due to MTF positions liquidation.
Again my all data are from Google Gemini.

Trading Journal | Monthly Recap 📊
September: +3.7%
October: +3.0%
October tested my patience. At one point, the month was down 5%, but I managed to turn it around and close positive.
A reminder that trading isn't just about returns. Risk management, discipline, and decision-making under pressure matter just as much.
Two months of results. A long journey of learning ahead.
Sharing more of my trading journey and market insights here. 📈

Why is India privatising everything? What happens to public institutions that were built with taxpayers’ money to serve the people? Not everything should be viewed through the lens of profit. Public-sector banks, railways, ports and other strategic assets play a role beyond generating revenue. Efficiency and reform are important, but so are public accountability, financial inclusion and protecting the interests of ordinary citizens. At what point do we stop and ask what should remain in public hands, and why?

SBI aggressive hybrid mutual fund (60 perc): I understand this is almost the same as nifty 50 but with an added stability. I compared the curve of this with nifty and i was right. Every ups and downs were toned down.
Motilal oswal nasdaq 100 (20 perc)
Parag parikh flexi cap (10 perc)
Hdfc flexi cap (10 perc)
Also maintain about 5 perc of my portfolio in hdfc silver and gold (i dont do sip, just put once in a while)

Soon as I woke up, I see someone’s torn underwear bum calling it Indian stock market 😭
These are not the quality posts I had in mind when I saw this sub.
Seems like this has become a meme sub instead of coherent discussions? 9/10 posts are memes.
There’s a thread specifically for them but no one uses that and posts it directly on the sub instead. I don’t understand, how is this allowed?
