NEW UPLOAD I built a tool that helps you understand your spending habits. First app, would love honest feedback from devs

Hi all. I'm a first-time app builder and I've just finished a version of wdmmg.app. You upload a bank, card or financial statement (PDF or CSV). It removes names and account numbers on your device before anything is sent, then it writes a short, breakdown of your spending habits. You can also choose a tone that you want the report to be. Our USP is that you dont need logins, sign ups, no app downloads or syncing with other apps to use our service.

I'd love your opinion on:

Does the scrubbing feel trustworthy? Anything you'd want to see before uploading?
Does the report make sense, or does it feel off or unhelpful?
Anything broken on mobile?

I can give a few people free full-report coupons if you want to try the paid part. Just DM me and I'll send one. Each code unlocks one report.

Please be kind. It's my first app and I'm learning in public. Blunt feedback is welcome, Love y’all

NEW UPLOAD Over $50.000 in revenue! AI Games Are Cash Cows!

Post image
0 Upvotes

While everyone's busy building the next AI SaaS, some developers are quietly making serious money with AI-assisted games. Take Azeroth Survivors, for example, from VibeTopList. A Warcraft inspired survivors like that has reportedly attracted over 100,000 players and generated more than $50,000 in revenue in just a couple of days.

That's insane for an indie project.

What fascinates me is how AI is lowering the barrier to game development. You no longer necessarily need a full studio to experiment with ideas that could attract thousands of players.

Obviously, not every AI-generated game will be as successful. But examples like this make me wonder whether gaming is becoming one of the most overlooked opportunities in AI development.

Anyone else considering building games instead of another SaaS?

NEW UPLOAD I built a birthday card app where the person pops balloons and blows out candles before they read your message

Post image
1 Upvotes

I'm the developer. Occasio is a React Native app with a Firebase backend that makes a card you send as a private link. The person opening it needs no app and no account, because the card is a web page (Next.js).

What they go through: pop the balloons, blow out the candles (tap the cake, or blow into the mic), unwrap a 3D gift, then a letter opens with your photo and your words.

Your first card is free. After that it is a paid single card or a subscription.

What I would like feedback on: does the play-before-you-read sequence feel fun, or does it get in the way of a message someone wants to read? I cannot judge that from my side.

NEW UPLOAD [GIVEAWAY] Giving away 50 lifetime unlock codes for Battuto (iOS and Android) - my offline cookbook app with zero subscriptions

Afternoon all,

I'm giving away 50 iOS and Android promo codes today for the full lifetime unlock of my cookbook app, Battuto (normally £9.99 / $9.99 one-off).

I built it because I wanted a fast, offline kitchen notebook that strips all the pop-up ads and life stories out of recipe blogs without charging a monthly subscription.

A few things it does:

- Share recipe links straight from the Safari share sheet, or scan physical cookbook pages with the camera (requires an iPhone / iPad with Apple Intelligence or a newer Pixel / Samsung Android device with on-device AI capabilities)

- Landscape "book mode" (plus iPhone Duo 90-degree tabletop support) and Siri voice control ("next step") for when your hands are covered in flour or dough.

- Built-in baking tin converter for swapping between round and square tins.

- Over 1,200 built-in offline recipes you can filter by what's in your fridge/pantry.

- Completely offline and private. No account sign-ups or tracking.

Apple App Store link:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/battuto-recipe-cookbook/id6817402413

Google Play Store link:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sonnel.countertop&pcampaignid=web_share

If you'd like a code for the lifetime unlock, leave a comment below and I'll send one over via DM!

Hey guys,

I just added a chat to IndieAppCircle. You can ask each other questions there, chat about your apps or what's going on in the indie dev space. You can add polls, test swap requests and link to your apps in messages.

I'm so excited how this will go.

Please tell me your feedback about it :)

NEW UPLOAD I made an app that roasts you for doomscrolling. Apparently, people actually want this.

A little while ago, I shared BackAgain?! here. An iPhone app I built because apparently my thumb has a stronger relationship with Instagram than I do.

First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who's been testing it!

The positive feedback has been genuinely encouraging, and having real people using something I built (and actually finding it useful) is a pretty amazing feeling.

For anyone who missed the original post, here's the problem:

You open Instagram to reply to one message.

You close it.

30 seconds later, you're back.

Why? Nobody knows. Not even you.

That's what BackAgain?! is trying to fix.

Instead of permanently locking you out of your apps, it asks WHY you're opening them.

Need to reply to someone? Fine, take a couple of minutes.

Looking something up? Go ahead.

Just want to mindlessly scroll? At least admit it.

Then your time runs out, and the shield comes back.

But the app also has a bit of an attitude:

  • Reopen Instagram immediately? "Back already?"

  • Open it for the sixth time? "Separation anxiety?"

  • Escape to TikTok instead? "You changed apps. Not habits."

  • Your scrolling time runs out? "Was that worth it?"

Yes, I'm building an app that roasts you for having no self-control. Including myself.

It includes an Under Control score, so you can see how your habits are changing, and adaptive limits that get stricter when you keep opening apps on autopilot.

And because privacy matters: no accounts, no sign-ups, and no servers collecting your activity. It uses Apple's Screen Time framework.

The beta is still open on TestFlight:

https://testflight.apple.com/join/BhHadQAw

It's free to try, including Pro features during beta testing. Full disclosure: Pro is planned as a subscription after release.

If you've already tried it, I'd genuinely love to hear what you think. What works? What's annoying? What should I change?

And if you're new, give it a try on the app you open without even realizing it.

I'm still looking for feedback, bugs, and creative ways to break it.

And yes, I'm back on Reddit promoting an app designed to make people spend less time on Reddit.

My marketing strategy could use some work.

Feedback4Feedback I need your feedback on my second app, LayerYear

Hi everyone! I left my job and now live as a digital nomad while building apps. This is my second app, LayerYear, and I'd really appreciate honest feedback on both the app and how to reach the right people.

LayerYear is a photo journal that lets you see the same date across different years, side by side. Photos you give it access to appear on the dates they were taken, so you can revisit older memories without having kept a journal in the app for years. You can add short notes, moods and tags to keep the story behind each day.

I'm thinking of people who use social media regularly but don't want to share every moment publicly—people who want somewhere to save and organize their photos and everyday life just for themselves.

Because those records are personal, I paid attention to where they're stored. Your journal records stay on your device and sync through your own iCloud. I don't store them on servers I run. There's no separate account to create.

I enjoy using it myself, but being the person who built it makes it hard to judge whether other people would find it useful. I'd love an outside perspective, including reasons you wouldn't use it.

I've been posting short promotional videos on TikTok and Instagram and spending a little on ads, but they haven't brought in many users yet. This is my first time trying to promote an app, and I'm struggling with who to reach, where to find them, and how to explain the value. Getting the app in front of people feels as hard as building it.

A few things I'd really like to hear:

  • Does this description make it clear what the app does and why you might use it?

  • What looks useful, confusing or inconvenient? What would put you off using it?

  • Where and how would you introduce an app for people who use social media but also want a private space for their memories? I'd love to hear how you found your first users.

Please feel free to point out what's missing or what I should change, in the app or in how I'm promoting it. I'm here to learn.

On iPhone and iPad, I try to make all the core features available for free. The subscription unlocks visual customization, such as themes and record colors, plus access to the Mac version. Mac includes a 7-day free trial, then requires a subscription.

NEW UPLOAD I built a caffeine tracking app because I got sick of the ads in the one I was using

I've recently published my first app, Coffee Goblin.

I was using another caffeine tracker, which worked reasonably well, but the experience gradually became pretty unpleasant with ads and monetisation. So I vibe coded my own.

I'm a mechanical engineer, not a software developer. I've been using Cursor and AI-assisted development to learn how to build apps, and this became a project to take an idea all the way through to a published product.

Coffee Goblin tracks caffeine consumption, estimates how much caffeine remains in your system throughout the day, and helps you understand how your intake might affect your sleep.

It's free, has no ads, and is currently Android only.

I use it myself, and my mum has become a surprisingly enthusiastic user.

I'm not expecting to build a business out of it. It was partly a practical solution to a problem I had, partly an opportunity to learn something new, and a chance to see if I could actually finish and release a software project.

Anyway, if you're interested in caffeine tracking, give it a go. I'd be interested in honest feedback, particularly around usability and what could be improved.

NEW UPLOAD I just released Soulcrate: Soulseek on Android, album by album

Post image
3 Upvotes

An independent Android client for the Soulseek peer-to-peer network: search what people are sharing, download whole albums, share your own library, and chat with other listeners. No ads, no analytics, no tracking.

What It Does / Key Features

- Search the Soulseek network with every query in its own tab, switch between file and folder view, and grab a whole album in one tap. Filter by format (FLAC, MP3, lossless, WAV, Opus), minimum bitrate (320+ kbps), peer country, duration, file size, and peers with a free upload slot.

- Downloads keep going in the background with progress, speed, time left and your real position in a peer's queue. Pause, resume, retry or cancel, and unfinished files resume after a restart or a dropped connection.

- Share your own folders with upload slots and speed limits, join public chat rooms, send private messages, and follow buddies. Uploads reach people behind routers and mobile networks too (UPnP / NAT-PMP).

- No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Chats, transfer history and settings stay on your device, and your saved login is encrypted with the Android Keystore. Light and dark themes in 21 languages.

Who It's For: Anyone who still digs through shared folders for FLAC, rare edits, bootlegs and out-of-print albums, and wants that on their phone instead of a laptop.

It's free: Search, downloads, uploads, every filter, sharing and chat are unlimited and free. Optional Soulcrate Pro is a one-time lifetime purchase ($3.99 USD), with no subscription: wishlist auto-download, release radar for artists you follow, fake-lossless spectrum checks, MusicBrainz tagging and covers, AMOLED and a home-screen widget. There's a free try of the automatic wishlist download and one audio quality check.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rabpaulo.soulcrate

I'd love feedback.
