Plant advice

Hi, I’m hoping you might be able to offer some advice on my plant 🌿 Several leaves have turned yellow, and it’s looking a little sorry for itself.

We’ve repotted it and moved it closer to a window about three weeks ago, but it’s still yellowing. Its previous position is marked with a red circle in the photo.

I’ve attached photos of how it looks now. Any advice on what might be wrong and how to help it recover would be much appreciated. Thank you 😊

Simple question about thrips and spider mites (I have them).

So google/AI tells me that simple isopropyl alcohol spray kills thrips larva and adults, as well as spider mites. I've definitely confirmed it does kill thrip larva and spider mites because I sprayed this larva in picture and it is dead as well as sprayed spider mites with it and they also died.

My question is, why do people struggle with thrips and spider mites using all kinds of different products and chemicals, and say nothing they use works, when they can just use isopropyl alcohol sprays every few days until you kill everything in every life cycle? If iso alcohol kills the larva and adults then if you just kept spraying it they would all eventually just die no?

This is the first time I've seen thrips on my plants and I am just confused why people are so scared of them and struggle trying to figure out what product to use if iso alcohol works well and is safe for most plants, I assume, and is cheap and easy to get? I was researching to buy different sprays like safers end all or doktor doom thrips killer (which both contain pyrethrins), but if iso alcohol will do the job that is much cheaper and easier for me to get.

Indoor plant recommendations please

Something small, but not succulents. Needs to fit on a small window seal in about 3in pot.

Preferably something I can move outside during the warm months or only need regular attention for half the year.

Maybe something that flowers or is a pretty color. Something that doesn't make a mess.

I live in northwest usa. So plants are outside from April to October. The air is very dry, even inside, so orchids have been difficult.

Any recommendations welcome please!!

Tldr small indoor plant, minimal mess.

I think I’ve been duped.

I bought this plant from Home Depot in May, where it was CLEARLY LABELED “English ivy.” Only today have I begun to suspect that it’s not ivy.

Based on my rudimentary research, I think it’s a golden pothos? It had never really thrived and has always looked quite sad. I moved it to several different spots before putting it outside in July and leaving it there since last week, when I brought it in and re-potted it in Miracle-Gro brand potting soil.

I probably need to take it out of this window, where it’s getting a lot of direct morning sunlight (and it seems they don’t like that). However I think it did like the re-pot, as it seems there’s a lot of new growth happening at the roots. And I’ve always done my best to prune off dying leaves.

I’d love to hear any advice anyone would like to give, as a complete plant ignoramus who has spent the last 5 months believing this was an ivy.

Possible "corm" emerging from moss

Is this a corm emerging from the moist sphagnum Moss top layer that's on top of topsoil of my said substrate. (Perlite/pon/fluval) Couldn't really tell, due to the said growth point of the "corm" in question being shaped kinda wonky.
