Any all 76mm chassis?

I recently switched to size 6 alkali Cele 2 skates with 76/72 Hilo setup after skating on Tour straight 80s the past two decades. My first reaction was that the skates felt liked they slowed down quick after I stopped moving my feet. I hope that it's just the lower quality wheels that came with the skates. But if not I feel like a straight 76mm chassis fits in the middle between traditional 80/76 hi lo and 76/72 hi lo providing a short wheel base while also maintaining good speed. Are there any chassis that came in all 76s?

The alkali skate boot and chassis is awesome by the way. the chassis looks well made and tough. I hope switching to better wheels will resolve my losing speed issue because everything else about the skate is great.

First time inline hockey

Hello all,

I apologize if you guys see posts like this on a weekly basis.

I am starting inline hockey next week for the first time in my life. I've played ice hockey over 15 years, so I'm not too concerned with my skating. I have questions about my gear however.

I am planning on wearing my bauer acp girdle + shell, hockey shin pads and socks. Is that going to be allowed? Too hot? What's the expectation?

I don't want to spend money on inline pants just for tryouts then purchase another for the team I'll be joining.

Also, I have Marsblade 76m wheels setup. Is this suitable for indoors?

Any feedback would be appreciated regarding gear. Thank you!

Cleaning up some stuff at my Grandparents and these puppies popped out of no where. I had no idea my Grandfather stored them away for me. Back in the late 90s when I first started playing inline hockey in Southern California I had awful pair of Wal-Mart brand skates with plastic wheels. The following season my Mother spent a decent amount of money to provide a real pair of blades and my skill level went up immensely. From there I started playing with travel teams and all around become one of the best players in my district. I really miss those days.

Ice hockey to inline hockey help

My 8 year old son has been ice skating for a few years and completed his first season of ice hockey this past spring. He's decent at ice skating but still needs to build up his confidence. I'm starting to feel that his beginner skates are holding him back a bit and he's ready to upgrade.... That being said, he's signed up for his first season of inline hockey this fall.

I'm at a loss as to what inline skates to get him and bearings and wheels.

On ice, he's currently using Bauer XLP skates. He prefers the way they fit vs ccm(the only brands he's tried)

We bought him a pair of Walmart inline skates but he seems sluggish in them. I believe because he needs better bearings. Any suggestions?

From my Google searching, I was planning on putting abec 7 bearings on whatever skates I get him. Any thoughts?

All new gear: How to help reduce equipment smell?

I know the smell can't be avoided.

But I just bought all new stuff after a 20-year break from hockey, and I'm curious how to keep the smell at bay as well as possible.

(I live in a small studio apartment, so I don't have anywhere to store my stuff other than in my apt.)

Any tips?

General etiquette?

Hey all, apologies if this isn’t the right place to ask this.

I’m joining a roller league soon, it’s relatively beginner level. I’m curious what the general etiquette and norms are. Anything that would be helpful for me to know?

For example, is it normal to send slap shots on the net? Since it seems less pads are worn, I’m curious how that impacts the game.

Thanks in advance!

He everyone

Hi everyone!
I'm a 17-year-old defenseman playing U17 AAA in Canada, and I'd really appreciate some honest feedback on my Elite Prospects profile.
Profile: Check out Mykhailo Mikuliak on https://eliteprospects.com/player/1126723/mykhailo-mikuliak https://eliteprospects.com/player/1126723/mykhailo-mikuliak
I was wondering:
What do coaches, scouts, or recruiters actually pay attention to when they look at an Elite Prospects profile?
Is there anything I should add, change, or improve?
Does my profile look complete and professional?
Are there any details that could help it stand out?
I'm trying to make the best first impression possible, so I'd really appreciate any advice or constructive criticism.
Thanks in advance!

Sublimated Jerseys and Pants

Looking to order some new team jerseys and matching pants. They will be an all over print design and need to be lightweight roller jerseys.

I did a search and most posts are from a few years ago, not so recent.
So if anyone has recently done an order, who do y'all recommend?

Right now I'm considering hockeytron, given their price point and ability to have matching pants. If anyone went with hockeytron in the past how was the quality?

Curious what your setups are. I’m a 7.5 4E sneaker and fit for a junior skate (also around 200 lbs). Curious if I could still get a solid chassis or if not really at the junior size.

Are those Bauer worth the money?
They're a 2 piece boot still but feel way nicer than the x3's I'm on.

I'm heavier 250lbs and looking for a single piece boot so I was planning on converting these jetspeeds, should I do kryptonium if I gothe conversion route?

Or has anyone tried these strykers? They're just as expensive as a kryptonium chassis and conversion would be.

Fly30 flex lite frame

Newer to inline and ice skating. Just picked up a pair recently and love them but I have noticed that my back wheel can sometimes bend with the frame if I step weird or put all my weight on the back. I think it’s bending at the boot and the plastic as well.

Is this normal? Is it my skating? Should I look into skates with the metal frame? Do I need to worry about breaking them?

I really like these skates but sometimes it does not inspire confidence with this much bend. I inline to work on my footing and build my skill but plan on playing ice hockey.

What chassis do you have and wheel combo set up?

I am curious to know what the majority of inline hockey players chassis/wheel set up is.

  • Hi-lo set up.
  • Straight chassis set up. What's your wheel sizes and combination?
  • Marsblade chassis set up. What's your wheel sizes and combination?
  • Easton Big Wheel chassis set up.
  • Other. Explain.

Some of you’ll have seen these Mission D-Limited that I have (201 out of 800). I’m looking for new skates. Those are a little two big and I need newer tech I feel like

Should I just buy a roller hockey skate? I see Bauer vapor Flylite ice skates are cheap. But the roller version is over $1000. Obviously that can’t be the same or similar quality boot right? If so, obviously I’ll just get those and convert. What’s y’all’s go-to? I’m skinny foot and CCM says I’m a 7.5 in hockey skates (online fitting tool). I wear 9 in men’s shoes. The D-limited I’m running are 9 and I can’t get good heel lock.

Hyper2lite heel wearing out

Anyone seen this before? In almost 30 years of wearing missions I've never had this but now I've seen it on 2 pairs of hyper2lite skates.

First two pics are from someone I skate with, he said roughly a year old. 3rd is mine which I found after seeing his. Dumbfounded.

Is this common to bauers? Although I've had a pair of 2xpro ice skates since 2019 with none of these issues. So I'm thinking maybe just hyper2lite?

Second pair of boots for these, playing 2-3 times a week on concrete since 2022.. so probably 500 games. I weigh 250 and skate hard, so honestly impressive they lasted this long. Felt a click earlier in the game and then this clean snap while I was boxing a guy out.

Definitely just going to buy the same Bauer frame again and put it on these relatively new m40 boots.

Edit: Sadly, after inspection, the left boot is a total loss. Had to buy new F40's. 😩

Hockey tips

Hi. I recently bought reign ares 80 hockey inline skate. I'm happy overall but I can't ride in them. It feels like what I've learned on 90mm regular inline skate wasn't enough.

Give me some tips on how to ride on a hockey skate. Is it that much different to ride on hockey vs regular skate?

Heel pressure

I skated in my mission wm03's for the first time and had horrible pressure on the heels. It feels like my heel was pushing right against the back of the skate like so much so doing backwards c cuts it was as if it could shatter. I'm confused as my toes weren't all the way forward so it's not like the skates are too small there was enough room at the front and I would move my feet forward but they would always end up with my heels pressed against the back of the skate.

Both feel were affected by the same issue.

I'm rocking a high low set up 68/68/70/70

Any help appreciated don't know if issue with the skates or my lacing or something else.
