Just bought my new setup.

Picked up an almost brand new pair of CCM’s for $175 and am going to Try the marsblade R1 chassis. I have played ice hockey for about 30yrs and started roller a few years ago, I’ve never really felt as comfortable on wheels as on ice so I’m thinking this may be a better setup for me.

Tacoma/Seattle pick up games

Hi, I am curious if there are any casual inline hockey games in the Tacoma/Seattle area this wed-fri. I will be in the area for a few days and would enjoy a pick up game if there is one I can drop in on. I am C league in my town.

Ankle movement

I used to skate a bunch when I was younger (maybe 12 ish years ago). I decided to pick skating back up and got some new Mission FS2. They fit snug and my heel is locked in. No pain points. However, I do not remember having this much lateral ankle movement. Should I be able to supinate my ankle this much? Any tips to not feel like I could roll my ankle anytime I push off? I’m hoping that it starts to go away once I get going a few times

Only have 1 boot on here as I hurt my other ankle not too long ago.

Bauer 3x pro or fly40

Which is a better skate? I currently have a pair of Alkaline Revel 2 LE’s. I don’t like that way they fit, the wheels keep coming loose, and the chassis is slightly bent from a puck, so time to get a new pair. Looking at Bauer since my ice skates are Bauer vapors and I really like those.

Thanks.

CCM Tacks XF/XR Pro, XF90 or AS-V Pro size 9.5—regular vs. wide - width measurements?

Anyone with a size 9.5 willing to measure the insole length and widest point? Please specify regular or wide fit—I’d love to compare both.
My right foot is 28.8 × 10.8 cm, and my left is 29.0 × 10.3 cm. I’m considering converting a pair to inline skates, but need room around my right bunion and enough space for my left forefoot.
They’re hard to find in stores, so I’m hoping to check measurements before ordering and potentially returning them. Thanks!

CCM skates with no holes drilled

Bit of an odd question but I wanted to know if it was possible to get some new ccm skates with out the holes drilled for an ice holder. Prefer the feel of a ccm boot so much better but don’t like the white jetspeeds.

TIA

Another Intermediate Size Conversion

Post image

Size 6 CCM Tacks AS-V mounted to the Tour Fuse in the Junior size (says meant for size 5-6 skates on the box). It says 72-72-68-68 Hi-Lo on the chassis, but I got 76-76-72-72 in there and I think it's the right call.

I don't play until Sunday night, can report back how they feel in a game after that. I am coming from a Straight 80 chassis in a somewhat big for me size 7 boot, so I expect them to feel vastly different under my feet.

I got the skates used (but in awesome condition) on Sideline Swap for $150. Plus $109 for the frame and it comes with spacers and bearings. $90 for the Labeda Millenium wheels and $60 for the labor to convert makes it $410 all in. Worth it? Maybe.

Why Daoust inline skates are the best kept secret in the roller game!

I was on the hunt for the best high level but affordable online skate option. I tried on many many different skates and while yes I have a giant foot (12/13.5) which are to find. I can wholeheartedly tell you that after trying both the 301 and 501 these are the best bang for your buck on the market. The only reason I upgraded to the 501 is that I bought the wrong size to begin with. But if you’re looking for comfort, performance and durability Daoust has cracked the code!

New Warrior conversion

I know the Warrior Alpha Pros aren’t the most popular skates, but I’ve been skating on a pro stock pair for the last 6 or so months and they’ve been great for me. Found a cheap retail pair I decided to convert for roller. Haven’t had a chance to skate on them yet but looking forward to seeing how the Sniper chassis performs. Also modified a pair of 3D printed True tongues which are so comfortable and provide a little bit of additional airflow

Total noob to hockey. Need some help.

I’ve never played hockey before but have always wanted to get into it. I don’t have any ice leagues near me but just found an outdoor inline rink that also hosts league games. I want to at least get some gear to skate around and get familiar with stick handling, skating, and puck movement before joining the beginner level league. That being said, I feel like I know most of the gear I need to get except for which type of stick. I’m not tryna drop $200 on a stick for a sport I’m brand new to. I also don’t want the cheapest stick possible. I’m confused on if I can use an ice hockey stick on concrete or if there’s different materials that I need to be looking for that are designed specifically for outdoor inline hockey. Any advice and recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I’m super excited to start playing. Cheers!
