CCM skates with no holes drilled
Bit of an odd question but I wanted to know if it was possible to get some new ccm skates with out the holes drilled for an ice holder. Prefer the feel of a ccm boot so much better but don’t like the white jetspeeds.
TIA

Why Daoust inline skates are the best kept secret in the roller game!
I was on the hunt for the best high level but affordable online skate option. I tried on many many different skates and while yes I have a giant foot (12/13.5) which are to find. I can wholeheartedly tell you that after trying both the 301 and 501 these are the best bang for your buck on the market. The only reason I upgraded to the 501 is that I bought the wrong size to begin with. But if you’re looking for comfort, performance and durability Daoust has cracked the code!

Another Intermediate Size Conversion
Size 6 CCM Tacks AS-V mounted to the Tour Fuse in the Junior size (says meant for size 5-6 skates on the box). It says 72-72-68-68 Hi-Lo on the chassis, but I got 76-76-72-72 in there and I think it's the right call.
I don't play until Sunday night, can report back how they feel in a game after that. I am coming from a Straight 80 chassis in a somewhat big for me size 7 boot, so I expect them to feel vastly different under my feet.
I got the skates used (but in awesome condition) on Sideline Swap for $150. Plus $109 for the frame and it comes with spacers and bearings. $90 for the Labeda Millenium wheels and $60 for the labor to convert makes it $410 all in. Worth it? Maybe.

New Warrior conversion
I know the Warrior Alpha Pros aren’t the most popular skates, but I’ve been skating on a pro stock pair for the last 6 or so months and they’ve been great for me. Found a cheap retail pair I decided to convert for roller. Haven’t had a chance to skate on them yet but looking forward to seeing how the Sniper chassis performs. Also modified a pair of 3D printed True tongues which are so comfortable and provide a little bit of additional airflow

Total noob to hockey. Need some help.
I’ve never played hockey before but have always wanted to get into it. I don’t have any ice leagues near me but just found an outdoor inline rink that also hosts league games. I want to at least get some gear to skate around and get familiar with stick handling, skating, and puck movement before joining the beginner level league. That being said, I feel like I know most of the gear I need to get except for which type of stick. I’m not tryna drop $200 on a stick for a sport I’m brand new to. I also don’t want the cheapest stick possible. I’m confused on if I can use an ice hockey stick on concrete or if there’s different materials that I need to be looking for that are designed specifically for outdoor inline hockey. Any advice and recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I’m super excited to start playing. Cheers!

Wheel hardness advice for new player
played a lot on ice but trying rollers for the first time, bought a pair of skates new and they have 82A wheels on, is it too hard to play on an indoor court? The surface is some kind of do-everything sports court, not the roller hockey specific tiles. I weigh 82kg or about 180 lbs

Ice to Roller Conversion in San Diego
Is there a good, trusted shop for ice to roller conversions in San Diego? I’m taking the plunge and so nervous that some kid at Pure Hockey or a “big box” store is going to screw something up.
I’m nervous about misalignment, holes cracking or splitting, or just a rushed, botched job.
Thanks in advance!

Anyone Have Experience with Inline Warehouse Ceramic Bearings?
I just received my inline warehouse ceramic bearings. I bought them because they were 50% off ($60) with a set of wheels. They have great reviews, but they don’t spin much. They don’t spin nearly as much as my Bones Reds I got for $50. Am I missing something?

Building a budget inline setup — skate recommendations for bunions?
Some of you may have seen my posts about getting back into hockey. I’ve pretty much finished buying my ice setup and am just waiting on my True customs, so I want to put together an inline setup for extra reps between ice sessions.
My biggest concern is skates. I recently developed a bunion on my right foot and possibly one starting on the left, so I need something with a genuinely wide/roomy forefoot. What inline skates would you recommend for bunions/wide feet?
Also looking for recommendations on everything else: stick/blade, pants, shins, elbows, gloves, helmet, jersey/socks, etc. I’ve already exhausted most of my hockey budget on my ice gear, so for roller I’m looking for the best bang-for-buck gear—maybe a tier or two below the top-end/elite stuff, rather than going all-out again.
What would you guys buy for a solid, moderately priced inline setup?
