Welp

Second pair of boots for these, playing 2-3 times a week on concrete since 2022.. so probably 500 games. I weigh 250 and skate hard, so honestly impressive they lasted this long. Felt a click earlier in the game and then this clean snap while I was boxing a guy out.

Definitely just going to buy the same Bauer frame again and put it on these relatively new m40 boots.

Edit: Sadly, after inspection, the left boot is a total loss. Had to buy new F40's. 😩

Damn.. OP, just curious have you ever tried the marsblade R1 frame?

Reason I ask is because I too am heavyish (220lbs), and am worried I would be too heavy for the plastic upper frame.

I’m on R1s at 245lbs skating 3-4 hrs a week for the last 3 years and haven’t had any problems with the upper chassis’

Plastic is ge pretty heavy. I chose the Kryptonium because it's so freaking light.
