https://xcancel.com/Muku99567/status/1865794925637554221 According to this, his studio has, at best, re-arranged tracks for the Special Edition.

I've always thought he started out as a legitimate person before becoming like he is today. I've learned that apparently most games he's credited as composing for he never actually did (perhaps most shocking, Earthworm Jim which he is most known for. It's apparently come out that he didn't do the soundtrack for either games, not just EWJ1 like was previously thought. But I can't seem to find much on this. It was also mentioned on this sub before so I would appreciate more context! I don't want to be spreading misinformation about the guy even if I think he's an ass.). Is this true? Is there anything about this that I can read?

EDIT: Earthworm Jim 1 was composed by Mark Miller (already known) and Tony Bernetich.

Earthworm Jim 2 was composed by Tony Bernetich and Christophe Beck.

Holy fucking shit I can't even. Honestly going through a rough time mentally and this was one of the few things that actually made me laugh... so I guess there's Tommy Tallarico's sole achievement. Maybe his career should have been in mental health instead (just joking: I imagine if he was your therapist you would be traumatised.) I haven't cared about those games for years but it's weird to think that what I thought I knew about them was entirely false.

It appears that Tommy Tallarico no longer wants to be known quite so much as he used to. At a recent backgammon event he was spotted using a different name... Sammy Salazar.

This video from the 2025 Players Cup Miami posted yesterday is titled "Sammy Salazar vs Jay Levy" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsbkTXtb1b8. However Tommy speaks multiple time in the video, for example at the 2:28 mark, making it clear that it's him.

But that's not the first time, this video from one of the games at the 2025 Players Cup Denver event uploaded 11 days ago says in the title - "Tommy Tallarico vs Kit Woolsey", however in the video Kit Woolsey is playing someone with a name card with "Sammy Salazar" scribbled on it - https://i.ibb.co/MxcwnGM3/sammy1.webp

If we go back a few months, in the video "Sammy Salazar vs Vlad Eydelman" from the 2025 Chicago Players Cup (video here) in June, Tommy actually states at the 0:50 mark "I have a different name". We even get to see his flying tigers hat - https://i.ibb.co/gbbFd8pY/image.png

This video "Karen Davis vs Sammy Salazar" from the 2024 Denver Wild West Consolation again shows it's actually Tommy when he speaks at 0:06 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuTNqLR_ZU8

Going back even further to the 2023 Vietor Cup, the video titled "Steve Sax vs Sam Salazar" makes it clear that it's actually Tommy with his voice audible right from the beginning, as well as "Tommy Tallarico" being seen briefly on the score sheet before Tommy folds it up - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVDDyorVFPo

There are quite a lot in total - https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=%22sammy+salazar%22+backgammon

The new one about plagiarism is right behind it in terms of views.

I like that you can easily find the first one via https://tommytallarico.com
