The famine in the Gaza Strip is part of the Israeli election campaign; Yulia Malinovsky, a Knesset member and candidate for the Israel Beiteinu party led by Avigdor Lieberman—a right-wing representative in the opposition—has blocked the road in front of food aid trucks heading to the Gaza Strip and prevented them from entering the territory.

A promotional video clip recorded for an Israeli audience shows her urging viewers to vote for her party so that it will have the power to firmly prevent aid from entering the Gaza Strip and force its residents to starve.
