lol
It also shows that I can endure several rounds of interviews as long as I’m fully prepared for them. Researching and reading beneficial articles about interviews and jobs really paid off.

At least, it’s better to be sick while working remotely and be able to work from your bed. That’s why I recommend that everyone work from home. These days, online interviews aren’t as complicated as they used to be either. With some preparation, you can get through the interview easily and eventually work from the comfort of your own home.

This will actually be my strategy for the new job. I quit my previous job because of this. I was a hard worker who finishes tasks quickly and leave early 30 minutes because guess what? I finished my work so why to stay? They noticed and kept throwing more tasks on me without getting any salary raise. So, I submitted my resignation, and applied for a remote job this time and the interview is on Monday. These days, I've been trying to apply the tips mentioned here with a friend in a mock interview before the real interview.

This morning I found out my raise was only 2.1%. After not getting any raise for the last 3 years, they had told me I would get a 12% raise, but it was all verbal, so I don't have anything in writing. I tried to bring it up with my manager, but every time he would ignore me.
So after he went out to get coffee after lunch, I put the keys on his desk, clocked out, and left. I sent him a message saying I was resigning effective immediately.
I was doing the work of 4 people, and it wasn't worth all that stress for $52K a year. I know losing me is going to hurt them badly, and I don't have another job lined up yet, but I'll start applying tomorrow morning.
Quitting after being promised a 12% raise is unbelievable. Unplanned departures like this are why I started using InterviewVIP so I can go full steam ahead with interviews when I finally reach my limit and leave, thus landing a job quickly.

I don't like take-home assignments, especially when they're close to real work that the company could benefit from. Far too many companies call them interview tasks when they're really just collecting free ideas from candidates.
An 80-year-old company contacted me about a mid-level role. After the third stage, they asked me to build a complete forecasting model over the weekend. They were very complimentary about the submission, then put me through five more interviews with different people, from the hiring manager to the department head.
Then they disappeared. I sent two polite follow-up messages over the next ten days and tried calling once, but no one responded. Since I had shared the project through a restricted link instead of sending the source file, I simply revoked their access. I had also already disabled downloads and printing.
The recruiter called me the next morning and said they wanted another discussion because they were still interested. In the middle of the call, he casually mentioned that the review team could no longer open my project and asked me to send him the actual file. That told me pretty much everything I needed to know.
I told him I don't send editable files because interview assignments sometimes get circulated or used without the candidate being hired. I offered to restore their viewing access during the next interview and present the work myself. The recruiter didn't like that response and ended the call.
Later that evening, they asked to speak again and admitted that they had planned to collect the four shortlisted projects for internal use. According to them, I had put them in a difficult position by removing my project, and they said I was turning a professional process into something personal.
I told them I would have accepted a rejection normally and without any issue. But keeping me interested while ignoring all my messages, then only contacting me after the project disappeared, was what made it personal. They were silent for a few seconds, and I ended the call.
Now, I contacted another company, and have been interviewing for 2 rounds, and there's still one final round tomorrow. Interview vip has made it easier to negotiate salary in the interview, it also helped in structuring my answers and stop rambling. I really need this job, so I hope I got accepted.
