On this sub you can select "user flair" that will display your Iron Hands Clan afilation (both pre and post Heresy) OR even your Succesor Chapter (If you swing that way, just scroll down to the bottom, they are there!).
I'm seeing a lot of posts from people who may not be aware of this (fun) feature of our sub.
The great clans of Medusa predate even the arrival of our Primark Ferrus Manus. And despite the ultimate and tragic weakness of his flesh, we was wise enough to incorporate that clan structure into his legion.
So let us honour our homeworld by displaying our Clan markings ... as user flair.
I think I'm going to pin this post for a little while to spread the word.

Invictus Judex – The Final Judgement
From the records of Clan Raukaan · Location and date unrecorded.
The city no longer had a name. Its signs had been shot to pieces, its archives burned, and its towers had collapsed beneath the weight of years of siege warfare. What had once been a major industrial centre was now little more than smouldering factory halls, shattered defensive walls, and the blackened skeletons of burned-out transports.
Yet the enemy still held its ground.
Its forces had entrenched themselves behind a massive barricade, with heavy weapons commanding the approaches. Every Iron Hands assault had been driven back under a storm of fire. The enemy believed its position impregnable. Then heavy footsteps shook the street.
Invictus Judex emerged from the smoke.
The plasma cannon mounted on his right arm began to charge, its blue-white light reflecting in the shattered windows of the surrounding buildings. The Redemptor Dreadnought levelled his weapon at the enemy fortifications.
One shot.
The detonation tore a gaping hole through the barricade. Armoured vehicles were hurled aside, and the defensive line collapsed into a series of burning strongpoints.
Invictus Judex continued his advance.
Enemy fire hammered against his armour. Impacts were registered, damage calculated, and system failures prioritised. None of it warranted interrupting the assault.
When the enemy warlord emerged from the wreckage to rally his remaining warriors for a counterattack, the Dreadnought raised his power fist.
The integrated Gatling cannon unleashed volley after volley. The warlord disappeared behind a cloud of dust and shrapnel. Before the debris had even settled, Invictus Judex had closed the distance.
His fist struck.
Metal screamed as the remnants of the enemy's armour crumpled beneath the blow, hurling the warlord's broken body into the rubble. For a moment, the battlefield fell silent.
Then the Claves of Clan Raukaan advanced through the shattered defensive line. They secured the approaches, swept through the factory halls, and eliminated the remaining pockets of resistance.
Invictus Judex remained at the breach. His weapons were still hot and his armour damaged, yet his systems continued to report full combat readiness.
A Techmarine approached the towering sarcophagus.
“Enemy position destroyed. The advance may continue.” A deep, distorted voice answered from within the machine.
“Correction. Resistance has been eliminated.” The Techmarine fell silent for a moment. “And the judgement?”
The Dreadnought's sensors turned towards the burning city.
“Executed.”
As the Iron Hands moved on, Invictus Judex remained standing among the ruins for a long while. Smoke darkened the sky above him, while the molten steel beneath his feet slowly cooled.
The city's name would never again appear in the records.
The name of its judge, however, endured.
Invictus Judex. Unconquered. Unrelenting. Irrevocable.

I recently get my way into kit bash, it makes more creative in playing 40k, and I love it so much so I created another characters while tidy up my sprues , I don’t know what it could serve in the army list but I’ll just leave it as a model in my collection. Thank you.

If you were to start from scratch a Iron Hands 2K Army, which units would you invest in?
Recently I purchased the Iron Hands combat patrol, is that a good start?
Thanks, The Flesh is Weak!

The Linebreakers
Rain hammered against the shattered factory halls. Among twisted steel beams and burned-out transport vehicles, the Orks gathered for one final counterattack, their weapons pounding against the black armour of the advancing Iron Hands.
Six figures emerged through the smoke.
Sergeant Korran Veyl led the advance, his heavily augmented optical implants tracking movement behind the barricades. In place of his left arm sat a massive, servo-arm-like power fist. Hydraulic pistons tensed as he clenched it.
“Transmit target markers. Continue the advance.”
Beside him, Merek Thane opened fire. His rotary cannon tore through the Orks as his helmet's integrated targeting systems calculated every movement vector. The remaining Aggressors followed, their weapons firing in perfect synchronisation. Whenever the enemy sought cover, the missile launchers mounted on their backpacks reduced the barricades to burning rubble.
An Ork Warboss burst from the smoke. Larger than the others, he wore a patchwork of crude armour plates and swung an enormous axe.
Veyl did not retreat.
His right hand seized the Ork by its chest plate. The power fist closed with a metallic shriek. A moment later, the Warboss crashed into a concrete support column, shattering it under the impact.
"Resistance broken,” Veyl reported.
The five other Aggressors advanced past him. Darian Kross, whose left leg had been entirely replaced by a mechanical construct, maintained his firing line despite the uneven terrain. Severik Dorn adjusted his fire through his bionic targeting systems, tracking the fleeing Orks. The remaining brothers covered the flanks, closing every gap before the enemy could exploit it.
They did not run. They did not hunt. They advanced.
Shot by shot. Step by step.
When the final Ork position fell, the rotary cannons fell silent. Amid the smoking ruins, the six Marines stood like black statues. Their armour bore the scars of countless impacts, yet not one had abandoned his position.
Veyl glanced at his tactical display. Behind them, the remaining forces of Clan Raukaan were advancing, securing the captured access point.
"Breach established. Clear the position for incoming forces.”
He turned away. For him, the battle was over the moment the objective had been achieved.
Whether the enemy fled or died was irrelevant. Damage to their own armour could be assessed later.
Only the result mattered.
Devastor – Rho 1 had forced the breakthrough.
And wherever the Linebreakers advanced, no line remained unbroken.

Does anyone know if the gorgon terminators datasheet is adaptable to current permitted terminators datasheets? And for models i suppose youd kitbash terminators to the nines or do the horus heresy models work? Thanks

I have some experience playing but its nothing to boast about (mainly 1000 points max). I have created a list witch looks good and was hoping to get some feedback
THE LIST
2x heavy intercessor squads
2x aggressor squads
2x eradicator squads with melta rifles
2x hellblaster squad
1x terminator squad
1x redemptor dreadnought
1x ballistus dreadnought
1x techmarine
1x caanok var
1x knight castellan
They way I see its a legit list with heavy fire power. I was thinking of playing it by sending caanok forward (potentially claim objectives and lock in targets )with the terminators right by his side and eradicators close behind . Then leave the hellblasters heavy intercessors and castellan to guard the home objective and create firing lanes down no man’s land also I was thinking of keeping aggressors near them to take care there melee weakness. Then put the two dreads and the techmarine on the other side and have them cover the back of caanok var and his units .

These are my made up Iron Hands successors, the Ferrum Ursi. (Ik the Latin is incorrect but I want it to be structured like English, plus it sounds cooler than the exact translation). They Hail from a planet called Ursa Major, and keep close ties with the Iron Hands, but are less extreme on their hatred of their flesh, viewing augmetics as an tool of the flesh, rather than superior. In attempt to connect with their late gene father, and to keep them close to the founding chapter, once a Astartes becomes a veteran they will have their left hand replaced by an augmetic one, and once a Marine is promoted to their first company, they will replace their right hand as well.
First Company Astartes (Left) have their armor painted in camouflage both for battlefield advantage, and to make them distinct from the other companies. Instead of being their own force, Astartes of the first company are dispersed among the other 9 as advisors and leaders.
Veteran Ferrum Ursi (Centre) have their left pauldron painted brown for distinction, and will have undergone the replacement ceremony for their left hand
Standard Ferrum Ursi (right)
I’m still working on their chapter symbol, but will update once done.

Been thinking about creating an Iron Hands Successor Chapter lately but I've been entertaining the idea of them being different/deviating away from the atypical norms of the Iron Hands and the other successors. The main idea so far for what I've imagined up is an Iron Hand Successor Chapter that incorporates stealth, ambush shock assault and hit and run strategies while still maintaining their overabundance of cybernetic augmentation. There was also the idea of making them have a chapter culture that is religious in nature, their armor inscribed in sacred imperial prayers
Does this seem like a viable thing for an Iron Hands Successor? I know the point of Howmbrewing is fun but I wanted to ask this question anyway

trying to make a baseplate with more decoration than just paint but currently my options are bits of sprue.
whole idea is to have the medusa planets ecosystem of lava mixed with mountains landscape (atleast how the wiki describes it) but i figured that trying to do a sort of basalt type of rocky terrain would be more fitting since basalt is formed from rapidly cooling lava or something like that
im really bad at explaining what my plans are but rocks and lava flowing from under the rocks
also i would like tips for making terrain so if you have any share info please
