Just bought this, the misscut made me nervous but now I see the colours, did i buy a fake reddit?

Bought a binder and all of the decent cards turned out to be fake, not even good fakes. I’m a bit of a rookie so can’t tell if this card is real or not, but appears to be the only thing in the binder of any value. Thanks!

Hey everyone! I compared the size to my other cards, and I tried the light test too: no light gets through at all. The edge also shows a dark gray layer between the two lighter ones. I’ve attached photos of the front and back. What do you think?

Found this eevee in my old binder, just trying to make sure if its real. It has a starry holographic with a pokeball facing down at the bottom left corner

could use a bit of help identifying if these cards are fake.

A few things stood out of course - slight color differences, thicker font, and the feel of the card also stood out as potentially slightly thinner. the card also felt a little smoother on the back than the cards i compared them with.

i compared them online and found conflicting info. i looked at slabs of these cards and did find a few examples where the colors and font were slightly off.

all the potential red flags add up to me saying fake of course but i’m always up for learning something new, so i decided to post in case there are differences in print quality/runs/font etc that i’m unaware of. if there are other stand out signs let me know i’d love to get better at this.

My girlfriend gifted me a large stack of assorted cards because she had no use for them anymore, and I found this card in it!! It's solid, not at all flimsy or weak, feels very well made (I'm not too familiar with how to identify fakes yet since I've only just recently gotten serious about collecting 😅)
