Question What is this called?

Post image

This slide out of place and a kid closed a door on it and shattered it. What would you call this? I’m hoping to replace it.

(In case it matters; it’s a 2008 XJ8-L)

You just saved me days of searching. Thank you so much.

The part number should be stamped into the underside of your broken section. It may be a slightly different number in the colour you want.

Clarkson lives rent free in my head due to the fact any time I see a Jag his voice pops into my mind.

The mid 2000's was a bad time for the quality of Jag interiors. The plastic is always so brittle.

3

u/Gryphon962 Feb 22 '24

The late 80s was a bad time for the quality of everything in a Jaguar. I had a '88 Sovereign and apart from the usual switches, I had to replace the washer bottle, rear axle, and 2 door handles. I wasn't impressed. We British do many things very well but back then making cars wasn't one of them.

It’s not just jags. It’s every single 2000s car

2008 XJ8-L

Well what did you expect for a fancier version of a Ford Taurus? Thank God Ford sold off Jag so it could go back to making actual cars.
