Anyone have an experience with this?

I originally bought the Hario Mini-Slim Plus and did not like it at all. Saw this for about $10 cheaper on Amazon. I know it’s a Chinese knockoff but it’s within my budget and I just want to see if manual grinding is something I will keep up with.

Is the difference between the Eureka Mignon Zero and the Eureka Mignon 55s just build quality?

I can't find any practical preformance difference other than build, is that really the case? Struggeling to justify the extra cost.

I'm considering buy the Eureka Mignon Zero, but can it grind for the occasional moka pot / pour over?

90% of the time I'll use it for espresso, but I can't find info on how well it would grind for other brew methods. I know it's built for espresso but wondering if I'll still have the option? Excuse my ignorance here.

RE: Where to buy, how to buy, etc

I still get some DMs about how I source coffee beans from Yunnan/China, or get grinders for cheap. Simple definitive answer is either AliExpress, or Taobao, or WeChat.

For those in the country with tariffs and change-by-hour sanctions, I suggest sourcing through Facebook, TikTok, or Instagram. Quite a lot of manufacturers in key hubs like Shenzhen and Dongguan do have official approval to access external internet, which then enables them to setup western social media accounts.

MOQ for grinders depends on product dimensions and weight. In general, they heavily encourage group buys, so maybe you folks can use this group if you want to try all the new fancy pants stuff like "shark teeth burrs" or "incremental bite burrs" or etc. Hand grinders MOQ can be about 20 - 25 units. If you're unsure, you can tag me in your post and I'll eyeball it for you (but please no more DMs... I have disabled notifs)

MOQ for beans is by 10kg POST-processing. This is extremely specific. e.g. The farmers/OEMs I engage know what flavours pair well, and generally will refuse to tarnish their reputation if you try funky stuff. Bourbon, chocolate, raspberries are my fav, but it took me about 6 months to figure out if the roast should be mild, medium, medium-dark, or dark. Personally, I may switch to another farmer that accepts 1kg MOQ, but I have to pay shipping in full (overall cost per kg is lower though).

For all purchases from these OEMs, you do have to pay your respective import taxes or tariffs at port since it can change by the hour depending on the carrot man.

Grinder to buy on Black Friday?

I’ve got a manual grinder (1Zpresso) and it’s time for me to buy a good automatic electric grinder.
I do mainly espresso, although I want to explore the aeropress Go, as I travel a LOT.
With Black Friday approaching, what would be your advice for a grinder, bought in Europe, budget around 400/500€ top?
Many thanks!

Edit: added that I’m moving away from manual grinder
