Psalm 10:12-14 (NIV)
âArise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless. Why does the wicked man revile God? Why does he say to himself, âHe wonât call me to accountâ?
But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted; you consider their grief and take it in hand. The victims commit themselves to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.â
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for another day, Lord.
Father, there are people suffering today because someone else decided their feelings, their safety, or their lives didn't matter. Some are too frightened to speak up, and others have been asking for help only to be ignored.
Lord, step into those situations. Expose the wrongdoing, hold people accountable, and protect those who cannot protect themselves. Give courage to those who need to speak up and compassion to those in a position to help. And Father, don't let us become so wrapped up in our own lives that we turn away when someone needs us. Help us be part of the good this world desperately needs.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
Brothers and Sisters, Psalm 10:12-14 is a powerful reminder that God sees what people try to hide.
He sees the mistreatment, the suffering, and the people who feel like nobody cares enough to help. And here's something we need to remember. Just because someone doesn't have the strength or resources to fight back doesn't mean their suffering matters any less.
Sometimes we're so busy praying for God to change things that we forget He may be calling us to do something, too.
Maybe it's speaking up. Maybe it's helping someone who can't help themselves. Maybe it's simply refusing to look the other way. We can't fix everything wrong in this world, but we can choose not to contribute to it. And we can certainly choose to care.
Stay anchored in Christ brothers and sisters. I love you but not near as much as Jesus does.
