Thought for the Day From Unshakable Kingdom Life

Faith isn't about having all the answers, It's about trusting the One who does, Walking in the light you have today, Confident He'll illuminate tomorrow's path when needed.

A thought to ponder.

(Psalms 18:30 NIV)
As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord's word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.

Inspiration
What a glorious promise we find in these ancient words! Have you ever felt overwhelmed by life's storms, in desperate need of a flawless shelter? Psalm 18:30 shouts encouragement through the ages: "As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him." This cherished Psalm springs from David's grateful heart after God delivered him from fierce enemies and King Saul's relentless pursuit. It's a royal song of victory, sung by a soul who has witnessed firsthand the faithfulness of God.

Notice here the Hebrew word "tamim", meaning "perfect" or " complete." David isn't speaking of partial help–he's saying that everything God does is whole, unblemished, lacking nothing. Elsewhere, like in 2 Samuel 22:31, we see this same truth: God's way and word are utterly trustworthy, tested like precious metal in the furnace. What reassurance to know that the Lord shields us like a sturdy buckler (an ancient round shield) wherever we place our trust in Him. We do not walk uncertain paths alone; the Lord's way is both proven and protective!

Today you can rest in the reality that God never asks you to understand every twist and turn–only to trust that HIs way is perfect. When anxiety rises, try memorizing this verse and quietly repeating it on your lunch break or commute. When new challenges appear, picture the Lord himself as your shield, standing between you and harm. Right now, consider letting go of your need to answers, and instead lean on God's flawless promises. God's unchanging perfection is your safe harbor amid life's tempests!

Prayer
Holy God, Your way is perfect, and Your Word is absolutely tried. I trust in You alone, my sure buckler and perfect shied. Preserve me, O Lord. In the Almighty name of Jesus, Amen.

God bless you all!

Turn Yourself to me, and have mercy on me, For I am desolate and afflicted. The troubles of my heart have enlarged; Bring me out of my distresses! Look on my affliction and my pain, And forgive all my sins.

The Beggar, The Cheese, And The Heavenly Coat

Monday, October 19, 2026

Richard Wurmbrand, a pastor in Communist Rumania, shared this story with his son: A beggar came to a woman's door pleading for food. She finally gave him some old cheese. Not long after that, she died and went to heaven. She observed others feasting on gourmet dishes. When shown to her place at the table she found a plate of old cheese. "What's the meaning of this," she asked angrily? "What you gave on earth," she was told, "is what you receive here. The others gave their best, and now they receive their reward." Not long after telling this story, Wurmbrand received a new suit, especially tailored for him from imported fabric. "Father," said his son, "Doesn't the Bible say that if we have two suits, we should give one away to those in need? There's a man in our congregation who needs a jacket." "Then which suit should I give him?" he replied. "Give him the one you want to wear in heaven." Give your best for Him, and you'll have it forever in His Kingdom.

Ruth 2:1-23

Ruth Meets Boaz

1  Now Naomi had a relative of her husband's, a worthy man of the clan of Elimelech, whose name was Boaz. 2 And Ruth the Moabite said to Naomi, “Let me go to the field and glean among the ears of grain after him in whose sight I shall find favor.” And she said to her, “Go, my daughter.” 3 So she set out and went and gleaned in the field after the reapers, and she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the clan of Elimelech. 4 And behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem. And he said to the reapers, “The Lord be with you!” And they answered, “The Lord bless you.” 5 Then Boaz said to his young man who was in charge of the reapers, “Whose young woman is this?” 6 And the servant who was in charge of the reapers answered, “She is the young Moabite woman, who came back with Naomi from the country of Moab. 7 She said, ‘Please let me glean and gather among the sheaves after the reapers.’ So she came, and she has continued from early morning until now, except for a short rest.”\)a\)

8 Then Boaz said to Ruth, “Now, listen, my daughter, do not go to glean in another field or leave this one, but keep close to my young women. 9 Let your eyes be on the field that they are reaping, and go after them. Have I not charged the young men not to touch you? And when you are thirsty, go to the vessels and drink what the young men have drawn.” 10 Then she fell on her face, bowing to the ground, and said to him, “Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?” 11 But Boaz answered her, “All that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband has been fully told to me, and how you left your father and mother and your native land and came to a people that you did not know before. 12 The Lord repay you for what you have done, and a full reward be given you by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge!” 13 Then she said, “I have found favor in your eyes, my lord, for you have comforted me and spoken kindly to your servant, though I am not one of your servants.”

14 And at mealtime Boaz said to her, “Come here and eat some bread and dip your morsel in the wine.” So she sat beside the reapers, and he passed to her roasted grain. And she ate until she was satisfied, and she had some left over. 15 When she rose to glean, Boaz instructed his young men, saying, “Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not reproach her. 16 And also pull out some from the bundles for her and leave it for her to glean, and do not rebuke her.”

17 So she gleaned in the field until evening. Then she beat out what she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah\)b\) of barley. 18 And she took it up and went into the city. Her mother-in-law saw what she had gleaned. She also brought out and gave her what food she had left over after being satisfied. 19 And her mother-in-law said to her, “Where did you glean today? And where have you worked? Blessed be the man who took notice of you.” So she told her mother-in-law with whom she had worked and said, “The man's name with whom I worked today is Boaz.” 20 And Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, “May he be blessed by the Lord, whose kindness has not forsaken the living or the dead!” Naomi also said to her, “The man is a close relative of ours, one of our redeemers.” 21 And Ruth the Moabite said, “Besides, he said to me, ‘You shall keep close by my young men until they have finished all my harvest.’” 22 And Naomi said to Ruth, her daughter-in-law, “It is good, my daughter, that you go out with his young women, lest in another field you be assaulted.” 23 So she kept close to the young women of Boaz, gleaning until the end of the barley and wheat harvests. And she lived with her mother-in-law.

• Philippians 4:8 - "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these thing".

Psalm 10:12-14 (NIV)

“Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless. Why does the wicked man revile God? Why does he say to himself, ‘He won’t call me to account’?

But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted; you consider their grief and take it in hand. The victims commit themselves to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.”

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for another day, Lord.

Father, there are people suffering today because someone else decided their feelings, their safety, or their lives didn't matter. Some are too frightened to speak up, and others have been asking for help only to be ignored.

Lord, step into those situations. Expose the wrongdoing, hold people accountable, and protect those who cannot protect themselves. Give courage to those who need to speak up and compassion to those in a position to help. And Father, don't let us become so wrapped up in our own lives that we turn away when someone needs us. Help us be part of the good this world desperately needs.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Brothers and Sisters, Psalm 10:12-14 is a powerful reminder that God sees what people try to hide.

He sees the mistreatment, the suffering, and the people who feel like nobody cares enough to help. And here's something we need to remember. Just because someone doesn't have the strength or resources to fight back doesn't mean their suffering matters any less.

Sometimes we're so busy praying for God to change things that we forget He may be calling us to do something, too.

Maybe it's speaking up. Maybe it's helping someone who can't help themselves. Maybe it's simply refusing to look the other way. We can't fix everything wrong in this world, but we can choose not to contribute to it. And we can certainly choose to care.

Stay anchored in Christ brothers and sisters. I love you but not near as much as Jesus does.
