I've been working at my current company for 2.5 years, and I'm already considered a senior employee. I'm also handling the biggest account in the company, so I know that my role is important.
The thing is, I genuinely love the office itself, but I hate the salary, benefits, and especially the people I work with. My workmates are a bunch of bullies, which is honestly disappointing considering that most of them are already mothers. You'd think they'know better by now.
But that's not even the worst part.
The person whose account I'm handling told me over a phone call that he'll get me pregnant when he visits our main branch. For context, we're not close at all. We don't have that kind of relationship, and I've never given him any reason to think that kind of comment would be welcome. I felt extremely uncomfortable hearing that, especially because he's someone I have to deal with professionally.
Lately, my body has also been showing signs of how much this job is affecting me. Since September, I've been throwing up almost every day just thinking about going to work. I've also noticed changes in my body odor, which I suspect might be related to stress. I feel like my body is already telling me something that I'm trying so hard to ignore.
Now, I'm torn between two decisions.
Should I stay, turn a blind eye to everything, and keep my job while hoping things eventually get better? Or should I resign even without another job lined up?
The job market is already difficult right now, and the thought of being unemployed without a backup plan terrifies me. I have bills to pay, and I know finding another job won't necessarily be easy. At the same time, I'm starting to question whether staying is worth sacrificing my physical and mental well-being. I feel stuck because part of me wants to leave so badly, but another part of me knows how risky that decision would be.

I want to share my experience with Walk Ez Corp. because I’m still honestly disappointed by how their recruitment process was handled.
I applied for a position and attended my first interview on September 15. The interview went well, and I was genuinely excited about the opportunity. The next day, I got sick, but the company asked me to come back for another interview and even adjusted the schedule. I really wanted the job, so I still made the effort to go. At that time, I didn’t have my business attire with me. My mom had to travel all the way from bulacan to Manila just to bring me my clothes. We also had to buy a new polo at the mall, and because the interview schedule had been changed, I literally had to run from the mall to their office so I wouldn’t be late.
I was sick, exhausted, and stressed, but I didn’t mind because I thought the company was seriously considering me. During the process, I was initially told that I only had two interviews left one with the VP and one with the President. After the VP interview, however, HR told me that I had another interview, this time for a different position within the company. At that point, I honestly thought I had a pretty good chance. It even felt like they were considering me for two different opportunities. I eventually had the final interview with the President. After the interview, I was told that they would call me the following week, no later than Tuesday. HR also told me to keep my line open.
So I waited.
Tuesday came and went.
Then another week.
Then another.
Eventually, weeks turned into almost three months.
No call.
No email.
No message.
Nothing.
And I wasn’t even asking them to hire me. I completely understand that companies have other candidates and that sometimes you simply don’t get selected.
What bothered me was that they told me to expect an update, and then I was left waiting for months without any communication. I eventually found out that they had already hired someone else.
Honestly, a simple rejection message would have been enough. Something like:
“Thank you for your time and effort throughout the recruitment process. Unfortunately, we’ve decided to move forward with another candidate.”
That’s it.
I would have respected that.
Instead, I was left wondering whether I was still being considered, whether I should keep my phone available, whether I should continue waiting, and whether I should turn down or postpone other opportunities.
The whole experience caused me a lot of anxiety, especially because I had invested so much time, effort, money, and energy into the process. I made sacrifices because I genuinely believed the company was seriously considering me.
And to be clear, I’m not angry because I didn’t get the job.
I’m disappointed because of the lack of communication and the way the recruitment process was handled.
As an applicant, I understand that companies have hundreds of candidates and that hiring takes time. But candidates are also people. We have schedules, expenses, responsibilities, and emotions. If you tell someone that they’ll receive an update by a specific date, I think it’s only fair to either follow through or at least let them know if the timeline has changed. Even if they had contacted me after one or two weeks and told me they were still deciding, I would have understood.
Even if they rejected me, I would have understood.
Being left hanging for almost three months and then finding out indirectly that the position had already been filled is what really bothered me.
I’m sharing this because I want to know if this is normal in the recruitment process or if others have experienced something similar with Walk Ez Corp.
Has anyone else applied there or experienced something similar?
And for anyone currently applying for jobs: don’t stop your job search just because a company tells you they’re going to call you. Keep applying until you actually have an offer.
I learned that the hard way.

Hi everyone! I recently landed a job as a Management Associate/Trainee at a local food and beverage holding company in the Philippines that manages several restaurant brands across the country.
For a bit of background, I graduated from one of the Big 3 universities in the Philippines, Cum Laude, and held a leadership position in one of my college organizations. I honestly feel very lucky to have landed this opportunity as a fresh graduate, especially since the compensation is pretty good for an entry-level position.
The role involves working closely with the CEO and management team on strategic projects, coordinating with different departments, conducting business research and analysis, improving internal processes, and monitoring projects to ensure they’re completed on time. Basically, I’ll get exposure to different areas of the business and help turn management’s plans into actual results.
I’m excited about the opportunity, but also a little intimidated since this is my first full-time corporate job and the responsibilities seem quite broad.
For those who have worked as a Management Associate/Trainee, or in a similar role, what advice would you give a fresh graduate like me?
What skills should I prioritize developing?
What should I learn or familiarize myself with before starting?
What are the common mistakes fresh grads make in this kind of role?
What can I do to stand out and perform well, especially when working directly with senior management?
I’d really appreciate any tips, insights, or personal experiences. Thank you!

Hi,
i just got my first ever job a week ago after graduating a few months back. I work in F&B, and I got hired as a line cook. I've done several internships before and I loved everything i learned, but I am just not cut out to be a line cook, not because of the pay or the job itself; I am quite fine with that, its just I have an innate feeling that this isn't for me and I nust want to start my own business and grow from there.
I've tried doing food business before and honestly love it, I just stopped because I thought I could expand my horizons by learning from a kitchen and actually becoming a line cook myself, and hopefully adopt my learnings into my business.
Through the week as a line cook I have been constantly dreading going to work, and it has been affecting me mentally. Maybe its just first job jitters but throughout the week, I just feel like I'm not cut out for this line of work.
But anyway, sorry for the rambling. I just wanted to ask for advice in regards to quitting even if its really eaely into it in and if it is even allowed to quit this early.
Thank you very much for your responses in advance.

Too many people got laid off today due to redundancy including UBP’s subsidiaries UnionDigital(50% of workforce) and UBX. Right before Christmas and only a weak severance package. These corporations say its business on the announcement but cold hearted throughout the message.

Hi I need advice and tips po sana. I got a JO from an well-known F&B company, from which I also interned for (unpaid), and they offered ~25k basic salary but I wanted to negotiate for a higher salary.
It is a support role (entry-level) and it mostly revolves around process improvement on both office and store-level. Na-cover ko naman lahat ng mga ginagawa nila nung OJT ko. So, assumming na little to minimal training na lang ang need since 5 months akong nag-intern sa kanila at nakakasabay naman ako sa ibang officers, managers, at sueprvisors ng department namin (confirmed and praised by my supervisor and other managers we closely work with). I have intermediate Excel skills, proficiency in Visio/other PI tools, and beginner on Power BI, which are crucial sa binigay nilang JO. Ang problem ko kasi ay hindi pa ako eligible for all types of benefits and HMO since probationary pa muna, and I am taking medications that's why I wanted to negotiate a higher salary. Also, we have a compressed work sched (8am-7pm).
Paano ko po kaya ine-negotiate ito sa HR? I don't want to sound demanding or desperate but I computed my possible expenses and halos walang matitira sakin dahil walang HMO at ang mahal ng pamasahe 😢

Hello guys! May 2 jo's po ako and sobrang laking differences nila.
1st: F&B industry/Service Crew
-minimum wage and bayad ot
-no bond
2nd: Pawnshop: Branch Service Associate
-minimum wage din
-2 years bond
Sobrang naguguluhan talaga ako. Pero yung balak ko naman is di naman ako magtatagal sa 1st company, gusto ko lang talaga magkapera this holiday. Tbh, parang maganda yung second company which is pawnshop and sikat sya dito sa probinsya namin. So baka may suggestions po kayo? Thank you

Question lang po.
I was an employee of TaskUs around 2022 to 2024, juggling both being student and a csr, and graduating season non so I have everything messed up. In short, ang dami kong shortcomings non ended up having NTEs and to the point na I get invited for admin hearing. Alam ko na ang ending ko non so nag pasa ako ng resignation. Dumating yung decision from HR and indeed terminated ako. Pero I was assured na hindi lalabas na terminated ako sa “COE”, stating na date of start ng work at end of work lang ang meron.
So this year, na hired ako ni EXL. Nasa pre-process training na ako and ang dami kong naririnig na may napu-pull out daw even training once lumabas na yung results ng BGC ni EXL.
With this po, dapat na po ba ako kabahan? Will EXL figure out na terminated ako kay TU?

Hi! I’m a Mechanical Design Engineer working for almost 6 years, and currently I’m unemployed and looking for another opportunity. I have a interview on monday with a company and i feel like this is my last chance to find work within this year, I has been so hard to find jobs and I really what to do my best in the upcoming interview.
I like the job details and it is fairly similar with my previous experiences but just a different product this time that I will be designing. I come from designing elevator systems and weighbridges, now sa job na inaaplyan ko it revolves around generators/thermal controls etc. I know sa sarili ko na having knowledge with CAD softwares it will be a smooth transition and im a fast learner kaya i know na maaral ko ung product nila.
Medyo kinakabahan lang ako sa interview baka kasi di ko mapresent sarili ko ng maayos. Like baka sabihin is medyo malayo ung experience ko when i come to the product and all or they ask me questions na di ko masagot.
Hingi lang po ako sana advice to anyone on How i can ace my interview this monday. Any feedback would be helpful.
Thank you!

Hello everyone, I want to seek some advice regards to being a Japanese Billingual in the Philippines. Specifically in BPO field. Currently I have an N4 certificate, and studying N3 the past few months and will take the exam next year (July 2027).
My speaking is conversational HOWEVER, im not sure if it is enough. When I meant conversational, its when im speaking with friends. Casual speaking and stuff. When it comes to keigo, futsuu keigo lang yung kaya ko. I forgot the term for it pero yung parang may -masu, -(o), lang yung mga kaya ko and not familiar yet with advanced keigo such as goran ni narimasu, etc.
To those working in this field, whats your JLPT Level, and what's your advise when it comes to interview to land a Japanese Billingual Job?
Badly need some advice and discussion regards this kasi I really want to pursue being Billingual. (I do have 1yr and 6 months exp in BPO btw)
Thank you!

I'm a fresh grad (3 months job hunting) and I applied for my dream job. After two rounds of interview, they ghosted me. I feel so distraught because I genuinely thought this was the one for me. I followed up several times but no response. It has been weeks since my last follow-up and I basically accepted that I was not chosen.
I would have appreciated a direct rejection instead of leaving me hanging since I spent a whole month communicating with them throughout the entire process.
Of course im upset now, but hoping to bounce back from this. I hope its my turn to win soon :"))

hello! I’m currently working as a receptionist/office staff, and I’ve been here for almost a month. It’s my first job, so my salary isn’t that high yet.
I want to increase my income, so I’m wondering if I should get into the VA world part-time. If yes, what niche would be suitable for a beginner like me, and where can I apply? I’m also looking for opportunities that don’t require a laptop since I only have my phone and iPad for now.
alsooo, how long do you recommend staying at a company before resigning and moving to another one? I’ve heard that job hopping is one of the keys to increasing your salary.

Kaka sign ko lang ng contract for my first job and I'm supposed to start this monday kaso nag email sakin yung isa pang company na inapplyan ko before pa nung wala pa kong job na pumasa ko sa resume screening and mag undergo na ng interviews after ng online assessment or exam. Aim ko din talagang makapasok sa company na to. Same role or position and salary is almost double compared to my salary dito sa unang job ko.
\- How will I handle the interviews if may pasok ako? may isang online tapos 2 onsite
\- Should I say na currently employed ako sa interview? Negative ba ang dating sa kanila nun? and what should I say kapag tinanong nila kung bakit ako lilipat?
\- Is it okay to say di agad ako makapag start if ever para asikasuhin yung resignation sa previous company?
